    wish I could give no stars. I don't know where to start. this is the worsted company I have ever encountered. I have cable phone and internet. basically c cable. pay $180 a month . service constantly go out and in. out and in. sometimes minutes sometimes hours. neighbors all have same problem. called service if course try to speak to someone from probably India eventually get service date and time. they threaten to charge you $$$ if you are not home. service person comes. checks all equipment and no problem inside. states problem outside and entire neighborhood. well nothing ever done even though he said problem outside in entire neighborhood. after many many calls to another country 2 weeks going by and service continues in and out all day everyday. a service appointment is set up for today. confirming service appointment 3 times when they called day before, this AM a man ( from personal phone) calls and wants to cancel service call , when India calls, because he claims they are working on lines now and if I don't cancel it they will stop working . India did call( barley able to understand her ) she ask me if I want to cancel service appointment, I tried to explain that Paul service man told me to cancel it because they are working on lines now. well after I hung up with out sourced person, Paul the service man calls me up angry because I didn't cancel the call and that if I didn't cancel it, they were gonna stop working on the lines. I explained that I told them what he said that I needed to cancel it because that to be canceled because they were working on it. after I hung up with Paul Optimum outsourced person calls and said that I wanted to cancel the I explained again that I was told by man to cancel it that they were working on it. It was a half an hour later after the call our service is out again for 10 to 12 minutes. I had somebody drive down the road to all the homes that are having problems and there's nobody working any place. this has been going on for over a month now and it's ridiculous because they are the only cable company in the area. My advice to anyone who needs find another source I don't care satellite or what I've had Dish and I've had DIRECTV and other places I lived I've never had problems. This is unacceptable and Optimum should be ashamed of themselves first taking money from people, especially citizens and not providing . One of my neighbors here works from with the Internet constantly being been a problem. Also, we have a neighbors child that is college lines on course and in the middle of online test the Internet goes out. This is unacceptable and this day and time to have this kind of service I advise anybody who's looking for service in this area. Find another way. Do not waste your money on them because they lie they threaten you. They do not give you what you pay for.

    This is how they reconnected service for me and my neighbors.

    Optimum service is terrible and sloppy. I would suggest using any alternative if you have the choice. After waiting a week to get my service restored, optimum reconnected service and left behind a mess. To make matters worse, they claim that cleaning up the wires isn't their job. Edit: optimum commented on this post but has yet to address the issue. They are more worried about bad publicity than they are about bad product or service. If they were serious about this issue they would contact me privately and resolve the mess they left behind before they tried to spew corpo-speak to shout down this bad review.

    Speed is low - should be 300 (that's what I am paying for)

After our internet bill jumped 17% with no warning, we wanted to see if there was any way to reduce our monthly expenditure. We called their "customer service" and after waiting 25 minutes to speak to someone, spoke to a guy for an hour who offered some good deals to save $20 or $30 but then when we started drilling down trying to confirm we'd have the same service and wouldn't lose speed or our landline, things got a little fuzzy. So we decided to go in person to the Xfinity store where we wasted an hour talking to someone who was very nice but who was clearly constrained by Xfinity policy. When we mentioned some of the deals the guy on the phone said, he told us that guy was probably lying. Although that didn't inspire confidence, we asked what he could do. He came up with a few different options and we found one that would save us $15 per month...nothing life changing but every little bit helps. Of course, when we asked for it in writing and he tried to send the info to our Xfinity app on our phone, it kept showing a higher price. He called a manager and they could both see in their system that it showed the discounted price but when it was sent to us, it was the higher price. There was absolutely nothing they could do to actually give us the price they quoted us and that they could see in their system. Xfinity knows the have a monopoly in parts of Danbury so there's no need to treat customers as anything other than ATMs. So we'll suck it up and pay the extra $$$ per month as every other person has to. If anyone invented a cable/internet provider that didn't stink as much as Xfinity/Verizon/Spectrum, etc they would have a million subscribers in a heartbeat.

Went to the store and they gave me the same model 8, the exact one I currently have. I thought it looked the same but figured the magic was on the internal components. Wrong, customer service told me they gave me the 8 because the 10 is not available in my area. I was told this after wasting my time and having my internet paused for the duration of the replacement Instead of being transparent I was thanked for being a loyal customer.

We signed up in October (2022) and did not officially have internet until the end of February (2023). Being that the service was new to the area and they were heavily promoting, I would have expected better staffing to turnaround these installs quicker. Luckily we had internet already as a backup so we were not out of service that entire time. During that period where we were trying to get the service installed we had several techs show up only to advise the fiber optic wires still needed to be run. After the first time we continued to tell customer service that the wires needed to be run prior to sending a service tech, but we continued to run into the same issue each time. Finally once the lines were run, we had some issues with getting a service tech out again. We were rescheduled and then on our reschedule date told that they never actually submitted the reschedule and it got further pushed out, adding an additional 2 weeks. Where my stars do come into play is the internet itself. We have had luck with it being fast and reliable. My prior internet would cut out for a few seconds throughout the day, leaving me with issues for meetings when I work from home, but so far we have not had any issues with that. We also received a nice modem for use. We are just hoping our prices don't increase drastically after the initial offer period. Also hoping that time-to-time maintenance is not as much of a struggle as installation was. Service techs were friendly through our experiences with them.

Call #1: This round, I was given fictional case & order numbers for a new modem/router and told that UPS will send me an email notifying me of tracking number before delivery. Call #2: No email arrived. No delivery. This round, I was told it was 'lost' and they supposedly sent the new modem/route to my office where all deliveries are logged. Of course, the same bs story about UPS sending me an email with tracking number blah blah blah Call #3: No email or product arrived. This time, they scheduled an appointment with their lack of technical expertise technicians AGAINST my wishes and when I blew a fuse, had a "Supervisor" named Rod or Ron or whatnot call me back. HE did. Again, I was given an 'order' number and told that UPS would send me an email with the tracking number. It's going on 3 weeks with spotty internet & bs from their so-called 'Supervisors' Call #4: HEAD OFFICE. To be continued...

I said okay, I said I could be reached via email since my phone was with them. I returned three and a half hours later, and apparently nothing was done to my phone. They told me the phone had moisture damage, which might be true, since it's an old phone, and they had to 'test' it. But I was pretty annoyed. Keep in mind that this phone worked just fine. They told me to come back in an hour and a half. I live 15 miles away, so yeah....a bit inconvenient. They sent me an email saying my device was ready, so I drove all the way back. They then said that the phone was not worth repairing, so they did absolutely nothing with it. They did refund my money, however. But I thought it was a huge waste of my time. They seem honest enough, but disabuse yourself of any notion that this is a "while-you-wait" kind of place. Not sure if I would use them again, hope I never have to.

    I brought my Toshiba Satellite Computer after Geek Squad would not touch my computer, because they…read morebelieved it was a hard drive problem. Although I pay for Geek Squad coverage and was disappointed, I understood since Toshiba no longer makes computers why they probably didn't want to deal with it. My computer simply stopped working and would not turn on. I brought my computer in late am on a Wednesday. Received a call late pm that same Wednesday informing me it was ready for pick up. It has been a few days now and everything is working fine. Daniel and Greg were very professional and even apologetic that it would cost $75.00. Considering the computer cost, the age, and that Best Buy wouldn't even touch it, I thought it was very reasonable. Would highly recommend CPR in Wappingers Falls.
