And went to work. We went back to school very quickly. In person! My kids did not fall behind and if anything now are (and have been) testing 1-2 grades up from their current level in most subjects! I just love this school. The people are what make it. And when one of those pieces leave to pursue their hearts desire it's sad... like a family member moving away! I tried to teach him at home and my son had absolutely no interest - which gets into another whole analysis with learning disorders and what not.. He dropped out 6 times!!!! I explained to my son, you have to learn your ABC's and how to count to 10. He graduated! Then started kindergarten, and had a very hard time. In second grade the school recommended to transfer him to public school For free additional help (Now I believe WCS can accommodate more with disorders in kids as I believe they have an onsite program to assist better). I did send my child to a public school, and he was depressed for the entire 3 years! I worked hard during the recession and told my husband I am placing our child back at Western. And as Soon as I told our son, there was a sense of hope. He returned in sixth grade and graduated high school. Today he is an IT Tech for a mortgage company and has a heart that is open to life with non--judgment. He's trying to figure out how to make this world a better place. If anyone ever wanted to reach out and hear my story, I am willing to talk to you in person through WCS.. But he survived because I put him back at Western and he met his lifelong friends that he still relates with today as life-long friends

My child was bullied and got no real help from teachers, staff, or the counselors when it happened. In sports, she never got a fair shot because of favoritism - certain kids were clearly favored and got the playing time and attention, while mine was pushed aside. More than once, staff took the other kids' side over hers without even hearing her out. Not exactly what I'd expect from a school that claims to run on biblical principles. Also, the emails we got from Reggie Stephens were AI generated. Cold, generic, no real answers to the actual concerns we brought up. If that's the level of effort put into communicating with parents, it tells you a lot. We paid a lot of money for this school and got basically nothing in return. No support for our kid when it mattered most. She started at her new school today and is already so much happier. The staff there is genuinely superior in every way - support, communication, they actually care. Night and day difference. Wish we'd made the switch sooner. Would not recommend Western Christian to anyone looking for real support for their kid.

The fact that she cares more about asking my child to take her jewelry off that has nothing to do with PE rather than teaching the class is a complete joke. She has also asked my child to not wear an undershirt which I think is crazy because again that is none of her business why my daughter wears that undershirt as long as it doesn't show or it is not the clothes she wear to school I don't see how that affects P.E She pulled my child in her office and told her that she need to stop gossiping about her????? That she is not dealing with my child anymore and whatever she has going on is none of her concern....... And moving forward anytime the teacher feels like my child is threatening whatever that means she will send to the office immediately. I'm sorry but you get paid to teach not bicker with teens because you feel threatened by their jewelry or clothes. I have contacted the school and will also contact the district and complain she needs to be reprimanded and moved to a volunteer aid job or parking lot duty but should not be teaching even if it's P.E. This teacher had made a lot of comments and I am so fed up with her.

She is a patient, caring, and a supportive educator. She's a great communicator and has a genuine passion for seeing her students succeed. I have personally volunteered in her class and am BEYOND impressed with the way she keeps the student on task and engaged and there is also room for them to take a break when they need it. I love that I can drop my daughter off at 7:30am for breakfast, school lets out at 3pm and that she can be in the after school program until 6pm. The after school program staff have been equally as supportive with guiding my little one while in their care. Lots of stars for ARC-after school program too! My daughter has been supported by every Adult in the school in one way or another and I could not be more grateful. What that does for a parent to know that their little is in great hands while at work is priceless. Principal Van Pool and the entire staff have put so much care into Scholarship Prep Upland inaugural year both into the students and the program itself. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store!

The principal is super sweet, amazing and understanding. She takes her time getting to know the student and I've seen her interaction with the teachers and staff and she's super kind. I always see her around campus making her presence known unlike many principals at other schools. The Vice President is also super kind and always around as well. My sons teacher is AMAZING! Love her! The kids so far all seem super kind, they're inclusive and even take the time to come and communicate with my son through the interpreter and or white board. I'm seriously bummed that my son will no longer be here next year. Their pick up/ drop off strategy is so convenient and quick. The office ladies are so nice and always so helpful. They really do have the most amazing staff. I cannot express how much I love this school but again it's the people here that make it what it is.

There is so much love, respect for players and parents, commitment, no favoritism because they aren't parents coaching everyone treated fairly and best of all no profanity at ALL!!!! Which it is a big plus. Not like the other teams in the community which parents and coaches use so much of it all over! I highly recommend this league. All my boys have been playing here since the age of 5-12 years old. k-6th grade. They learns all 4 major sport Football, basketball, baseball and soccer, by the time they are 12 in middle school they know what sport they really like. All my boys have loved football which mommy loves and basketball... which mommy really loves. And maybe this is why I was blessed with all boys because mommy is a sports fanatic sports
