It is an honor and privilege to have all three of my kids attend WCS. The possibilities are endless and my youngest who is a sophomore at Western Christian High School has big dreams. She just got on the varsity swim team and absolutely loves her school. She dreams of attending Caltech. My oldest is now 33 and met her husband at WCS - they now have three beautiful kids and lead a Godly life. My middle child started in preschool right across the way from where he graduated. Western focus' on spirituality, safety, education and the knowledge to excel in whatever your child dreams of. WCS works with parent's who really want for their kids, the best environment to thrive in. The sacrifice to have your kids attend this fantastic school will over exceed any hardship ever. I am forever grateful and if you really want the best for your kids, highly recommend WCS! I have referred several friends that had their kids attend; they got on a waiting list and were very impressed with the outcome of their kiddos. First and foremost, I would like to express my profound dissatisfaction with Western Christian School. My son attended the school from second through sixth grade, and during that time he endured repeated bullying, harassment, and mistreatment from both fellow students and staff members. He was mocked because of his hair, physically shoved to the ground, and even grabbed and swung around by other students. The incidents became so severe that certain students were ultimately suspended. This all occurred during his very first year at the school. In addition to the physical bullying, my son was also socially isolated and harassed because he did not fit the stereotypical expectations of the other boys at the school. He was not interested in sports, and because of that, he was often excluded and targeted. He was criticized simply for being different. He was also harassed because of his appearance, despite always presenting himself in a clean, respectful, and well-groomed manner. Instead of embracing individuality, the environment at the school encouraged conformity and ridicule toward students who did not fit a particular mold. At one point, the son of a woman who worked in the office physically shoved my son during P.E. class. Rather than fostering a safe environment for students, the administration appeared dismissive of the ongoing issues. Additionally, Superintendent John Atwood demonstrated behavior that I found deeply one-sided and inappropriate. His son was dating one of the girls who had bullied and harassed my son, which created what I believe was a conflict of interest. When these issues were brought to the school's attention, nothing meaningful was done to address the harassment. After my son left the school, he continued participating in theater activities there because of friendships he had formed. Unfortunately, the bullying and harassment continued, this time involving both students and parents. When I contacted the school to report the matter, I was informed that neither my son nor I were welcome back on campus because I voiced concerns and filed complaints. What I found especially alarming was that after I made complaints regarding the bullying connected to the theater event, Superintendent John Atwood escalated the matter to the point that law enforcement contacted me. Rather than focusing on protecting a student who had already endured years of mistreatment, the situation felt intimidating and retaliatory. While attending Western Christian, my son was repeatedly given demerits because his hair extended beyond the collar line. Ironically, shortly after he left, the school changed its grooming policies and permitted longer hairstyles under a new principal. This only reinforced my belief that the treatment he received was unfair and unnecessarily targeted. I also want to say how incredibly proud I am of my son for the person he has become despite everything he endured during his years at Western Christian. He has grown into an exceptional young man and a true role model. I genuinely could not be prouder of him. He exceeded every expectation I ever had, not only academically, but more importantly as a human being. He is kind, compassionate, intelligent, respectful, and remarkably bright. Watching him overcome bullying and unfair treatment only made him stronger and more determined to succeed. Instead of allowing those experiences to define him negatively, he rose above them and became an even better person because of it. Once my son left Western Christian, he flourished academically and personally. He went on to outperform many students academically, including the majority of the current graduating senior class. He was accepted into one of the top-ranked colleges in the country and graduated high school having already earned four college degrees. He participated in marching band, served in ASB leadership, and genuinely enjoyed his educational experience. Most importantly, he was finally surrounded by teachers who valued and encouraged him rather than criticizing or humiliating him over superficial matters such as his hairstyle. I strongly do not recommend this school to families who want their children to feel supported, accepted, and encouraged to be individuals. To this day, I remain grateful that we made the decision to remove my son from Western Christian. Once he left, he became happier, more confident, and significantly more successful. He was never bullied again and finally experienced the encouragement and respect every child deserves. If I could offer any advice to parents considering this school, it would be this: run and run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. read more

I have 2 boys that went here from their elementary school to the their highschool. Western is a great Christian school, very sound biblical teaching, academically competitive, socially balance & best of all the environment is safe, disciplined but very loving. One of the best decision we ever made for our children is bringing them up to Western Christian High, worth every dime! read more

I have to kind of agree with Snider H. review. We've sent 3 kids through this school. There are many positive things, Christ like setting, in our experience amazing teachers, and Phenomenal Vice Principal. It is true that staff children are the chosen ones, this years HOCO was all staff kids minus one. For us personally it fell short in the Athletics dept with girls soccer. If your daughter is a competitive soccer player I would highly encourage you to look elsewhere. The head coach is the kind you never want your child to play for. We should've gone to Ontario Christian-much better equipped with adequate and experienced club soccer coaches that care about the student athletes growth and success on and off the field, Unlike Coach Bryan Duckett at Western. read more

Western Christian High School has met and exceeded our expectations. Our daughters transition into high school was so smooth due to the transparency, support, guidance and genuine care from staff & the parent community at this school. It truly is a family. When a parent can drop off their child at school and walk away with confidence knowing they are in good hands there is no way to put a price tag on that type of comfort. From day one WCHS instills and preps students for a mindset and path knowing they are college bound and helping them set goals and work towards those goals. The Administration, teachers, coaches, and counselors are all highly invested in the students. please do not send your children here, no one talks about the bias and awful staff here the staff children are the golden children, they aren't good at sports, they get to play no matter what. The prom court and hoco court was literally chosen by staff over votes and due to this all the staff kids will get on. do to this bias behavior all the asb is staff kids and the school is essentially ran by the staff kids, leaving everyone else to have to deal with this and it lessons everyone's experience this don't make your kid go through this. Not to mention on top of the outrageous price you are paying to send your student here the education is not worth it you are much better off sending some where that will academically equip your student such as Damien or St.Lucys. This school does not prioritize your students needs in this school I have watched all of the principles Children get whatever they want, when they want. Our son went to public school through 8th grade. We didn't like the way the curriculum, policies, etc. were going so we decided to enroll him in private school for 9th grade. He is about to start 10th grade now, and he absolutely loves WC. He can see the difference having come from public school. No more daily distractions with disrespectful kids and staff with their hands tied to deal with the problem. Our son has made great friends, he is doing very well in his academics, and we appreciate the Christian values and morals that are taught and demonstrated by the staff. Need to leave politics OUT of classrooms and school settings. Just because you are miserable and hate following mandated laws with distance learning doesn't mean everyone who goes there does. Some of us truly care about our children and refuse to engage until there's a vaccination for coronavirus! You preach about listening to authority yet you perpetually dodge it by still letting children on campus under "religious reasoning". Here's a tip, you can't pray the virus away. Really offensive how you feel unworthy without children physically at campus and teachers and staff constantly complaining and bad mouthing the Governor when not everyone agrees with you. read more
