Dr. Lin and his team at Pacific Laser Eye Centre have destroyed my eyes and ruined my life…read more I should never have been deemed a candidate due to my underlying conditions fully disclosed to them pre-op and a very mild prescription, yet they were dishonest with me and deemed me a candidate anyway. They downplayed all my concerns and outright lied about risks I inquired about. They didn't disclose a lot of serious risks especially in my case. They promised me "vision as good as glasses or better"..Immediately post op I got all kinds of terrible visual distortions, both day time and night time. My concerns were dismissed every time and I was told it's normal part of healing and should go away by 3-6 months. Several months post op now, I have a long list of awful complications, from visual distortions to horrible chronic pain, severe dry eyes which all led to severe depression. This nightmare could have been easily avoided if Dr. Lin and his team (Winnie, Gina, other techs) were honest with me and ethical people, disclosing all the risks properly, rejecting me as a candidate based on my condition and certain measurements they've done that proved increased risks of complications in my case, something they never disclosed to me. Instead, they chose to deceive me and destroy my life for profit. Shame on all of you.

My vision deteriorated rapidly in the affected eye leaving me with a significant imbalance in my vision which couldn't be effectively corrected with glasses, and I had been wanting laser correction for many years. However, my retinal specialist advised waiting until my uveitis was stable, which took over 20 years. Throughout that time, he consistently recommended Dr. David Lin as the only surgeon I should consider, provided he deemed an eligible candidate. From the very first interaction with Pacific Laser Eye Centre, I was impressed by how knowledgeable and informative Tiffany was. This level of professionalism and competency continued with everyone I interacted with at the clinic. All my questions, and I had a lot, were answered thoroughly and promptly. When I met Dr. Lin, I instantly felt confident in his expertise and reaffirmed that I had made the right choice. The procedure itself was quick and painless, and the aftercare was exceptional. After removing the bandage lens, I did experience some discomfort and when I called the clinic, they got me in to see a technician and Dr. Holland within an hour. The issue was quickly identified and resolved. I've since had appointments with my retinal specialist and optometrist, and the results have exceeded expectations. Dr. Lin was able to achieve a level of vision correction beyond what was able to be achieved with glasses. I wear Silhouette frames because they are practically weightless. I took four Silhouette frames in and ordered prescription lenses. A slightly tinted pair that I wanted in orange, but were made rose, an everyday pair, reading, and sunglasses for a total cost of $3,270.80, with discounts for ordering multiple lenses. I do find them very pricey, but I thought I would get what I wanted. I'm a senior and this is a lot of money for me to spend and as it turns out, waste. I'm happy with one pair out of the four which I paid $700. for. The licensed optician who I ordered from did not listen to me and with the one exception, didn't order the shapes i wanted. The first pair, tinted, I apparently ordered incorrectly and they remade them, but still not to my liking. However, after the reading and sunglasses were not what I ordered, I question if i did get the tinted lenses wrong. The optician was very pleasant, but I would have preferred to get what I actually ordered. The reading glasses were supposed to be basic, but the price increased by $300. with no explanation. I wanted basic rectangle readers, but got designer lenses which were the same shape as the tinted lenses that I didn't like. I asked why the price difference, but instead of an answer, I got emailed and printed copies of the invoices. I'm stuck with readers I don't like, and having to replace the tinted lenses and sunglasses. Lastly, the multiple pair discount was supposed to be on three lenses, but the invoice only shows a discount on two pair. Initially the optician tried to tell me that one of my frames should be replaced with no explanation as to why they were inferior. Once she discovered that I was ordering four pairs of lenses, the same frames were good to use... This was a long and drawn out process, where I had to go back and forth a number of times, full of frustration. I do not recommend buying your glasses at Mount Pleasant Optometry.

I think it was so nice inside I thought it would all be overpriced but was pleased to find frames and lenses in my budget that worked out better than chain places I have gone in the past like LensCrafters. Sales people were not pushy at all and totally got what I was looking for, something a little trendier than what I have now but not too 'out there'.
