I got there right when they opened, at 8am, because I wanted to get some pastries while they were freshest. When I got there, people were already around the door waiting for them to unlock it and open for the morning! It is located right behind Wawa and the building itself looks like a house. The inside is super cozy with ample amounts of study spots. They have 2 stories with a mezzanine looking over the main floor. There really isn't another coffee shop like it near campus. I really cannot emphasize how homey the vibe is, you have to go and check it out for yourself. The interior is also kept very clean, which is always nice. The service is super friendly and personable as well. The staff seemed to know the regulars there and were easy to talk to. Service is just on point! Pascal's prides themselves in making their own syrups and hand crafted beverages. They also frequently have specials or special holiday menu drinks. But I actually didn't try any coffee this visit, I came for some pastries! Pascal's serves fresh pastries from Uppercrust (local bakery). I have only heard rave things about Uppercrust, but had never gotten the opportunity to try them. The pastries are given to Pascal's each morning from Uppercrust to sell , so they are very fresh. They had an array of croissants, some scones, and cookies. While it was hard to choose, as they all looked DIVINE, I opted for a vanilla bean scone and a raspberry croissant (per the baristas recommendation). I got them to go because I had a meeting, but next time I will for sure enjoy them there! The raspberry croissant was heavenly, flaky, and buttery, with the perfect amount of fresh raspberry filling inside. The raspberry croissant was a great recommendation and was just amazing. The scone was huge, super buttery (in the best way), dense, and moist. One of the best scones I've had by far! Not too sweet and a good vanilla taste. Would highly recommend both. Overall, Pascal's is a wonderful little coffee shop. Vibes are just the best and the atmosphere is unbeatable. Especially on some of these cold mornings--perfect place to be! The service is the friendliest and very welcoming. They clearly take pride in what they do and look forward to serving the community. While I didn't get around to trying the coffee, which I will certainly will my next visit, the fresh pastries from Uppercrust were superb. Definitely will be planning a visit to Uppercrust soon too. What struck us was the kindness of the staff and the very serene and relaxed atmosphere of people just sipping coffee, talking, getting some work done in the nice quiet library-like area. I wanted to use the restroom first, and realized there were signs on the door that said they were for customers only. Correct me if I'm wrong but legally as a public establishment, you must offer a public restroom. Also, from my understanding all Starbucks allow the public to use their restrooms since their huge scandal from years ago. Nonetheless, I stood at the counter( assuming the restrooms were locked) for five minutes as three employees walked past me, standing at the counter. After about seven minutes an employee walked out from the back kitchen and walked right past me through the lobby outside. There was no line and one car at the window that had just been helped within the first three minutes of me, standing at the counter. Finally, one lady walked up to me and asked how I could be helped. I asked to use the restroom. She said well you actually have to purchase something to use the restroom. I said OK can I order something?(I asked inquisitively due to the fact that I was standing there for almost 10 minutes before being helped.) she said sure what would you like? I ordered a cake pop, and as I was going to pay for the cake pop, a man rushed through the Starbucks door sped through the lobby straight to the restroom. I turned and looked at the cashier and said he didn't have to purchase anything to use the restroom? She responded and said oh I think he was already here.(although this explanation still did not meet the necessary requirements to purchase an item before using the restroom.) I proceeded to use the restroom after purchasing my cake pop, and unfortunately, as I went to wash my hands, there was no soap! This is extremely disheartening. Seeing as though I took my time to follow the "rules" of the establishment purchasing a three dollar item to realize there's no soap in the restroom. Disappointing ! Do not recommend

This place is marketing savvy in the best possible way, dangling intrigue like a hook! I'm never scared off by a name with an edge to it. If anything, it makes me stop.. lean in ... and take a closer look. I didn't get inside today. They weren't open when I drove past. I'm always chasing the up and coming. The not yet constructed. The visionaries operating on instinct before the world catches up to them The homogenization of business is everywhere you look, the same stores, the same facades, the same experience repeated until it means nothing. That's not what I'm after. I go out of my way to seek and find the creatives with something to prove, the ones with an edge that makes everything around them feel a little more alive. Lowbar is exactly this kind of place. Because of its austere yellow exterior ... it reminded me of East Berlin right after the Wall came down. That electric, scrappy energy of a place becoming something before anyone's decided what that something is. The edgy side of town. The happening side. That rare moment where creativity fills the space before commerce smooths everything out. The matcha/coffee will have to wait. But some places get under your skin before you ever cross the threshold, and Lowbar did exactly that. I'll be back. That much I know.

The SB on 39th nearby however has a whole different approach. Their drinks are always tasty even if you ask for less ice. The lemonade is always perfect. My light ice flavored lattes are consistently tasty and not over diluted. They get the balance right every time. Should you have any challenge at all, at 39th they fix it with a smile on their faces. Amazing customer service. It is very expensive to drink this stuff nowadays so you want to get what you pay for, and then tip well!
