First I want to give credit where it's due. Wendy is amazing and I don't know why she is only an assistant, because she rocks at her job. She needs to be recognized for making Fallon appear better than she actually is. Onto the issue- Fallon is very unprofessional, curt and has an excuse for everything. Embraces the definition of diva. Throughout our transaction, getting a response from her was impossible. I would have to go to Wendy to get anything done, which was unacceptable. My one phone call with Fallon was all attitude, and immediately wanted nothing to do with her after that. If you aren't kissing her butt through the transaction, you become her sworn enemy. What I find most egregious is when I asked Fallon for something it couldn't be done. Yet when I asked Wendy, she made it happen. I truly believe that Fallon has a personal vendetta and if she doesn't want to do something but knows she can, she will flat out reject you. OCT - promote Wendy. Give her a huge raise. She is the saving grace in that office. While I would never recommend OCT, I would recommend Wendy above anyone who works here. I can only hope she is well-compensated for the lackadaisical, non-existent work ethic of Fallon. read more

I highly recommend not using organization. My escrow officer Fallon was incompetent, and was incapable of following directions. I had minor hold through a government agency which required paperwork to be filed by an escrow agency. It took this organization almost a month to even begin filing it, when this particular officer told me before it would be done in half a day. There was no explanation, nor communication from anyone even though I've tried numerously to contact this officer. This neglectfulness, laziness, and unprofessionalism cost me over $60,000 in business. In the end though, it was my fault for trusting this organization, even though the past reviews of this place speak for itself. I will not be doing any business with this place ever again, and I recommend you to go elsewhere. read more

I have only had contact with one person here in Gold River her name is Nadia. I don't think she should be working with the public. With only four days to close of escrow I was called and told I WILL drop everything and be available at 3:00p.m. to sign paperwork with a notary. Said notary left behind my Power of Attorney and at 2:35 the day before close of escrow I was told to leave the ORIGINAL DOCUMENT on my porch as I was leaving for a Dr. Appointment, mind you my father is in lock down in a VA hospital do to Covid-19 and these can not be replaced. I told her I would drop them off when I was done, apparently that was not satisfactory I received a phone call while driving, then one from a notary that was at my house then a text and yet another text all during my appointment!! Orange Coast Title is horrible!!!!! The escrow officer Erica did a mistake on the closing statement that I was told I have to wait 14-16 weeks until HCD clears the title, then I will get my refund. However, 6 months have passed, HCD already cleared the title, I never received my refund. Yes, after 6 months, I was waiting patiently. But no follow-up email or any update from the escrow officer. Very disappointed. Where is my refund?? Not to mention, I never wanted to open escrow with Orange Coast Title back in 6 months ago, my agent opened it without communicating with me. I doubt at this point if there was any BRIBE. read more

I too would suggest you stay away from this company. They almost made me loose an investment property due to their incompetence by Fallon Vallejo the Branch Manager. She was so incompetent that it took her about 10 days just to process my deposit check. This is something that should be done within 1-2 hours after you submit the deposit. The sellers were so pissed off that they almost cancel the contract. They thought I was pulling their leg when I told them I had deposited the money with Fallon Vallejo. I called her office after not receiving any response over 2 days to my emails. I had to call and the assistant said that Vallejo was out of the office but she would process the deposit and notify the sellers and me. Well I never heard back from here until I called the next day. The assistant had sent the information to the wrong email address. That same day I notify them that I was going to move my escrow to another company. NEVER AGAIN will I do business with Orange Coast Title Company. The other company was excellent and did everything like is supposed to be. If you want a reliable company see my review on Stewart Title. I'm not surprised you have not been able to find my file. Why don't you speak to Vallejo. You keep posting the same response to all the negative comments put here but to date you have done NOTHING to solve the same problems people keep posting about. This might be the most unprofessional and dishonest company i have ever dealt with. I refinanced my house with guaranteed rate and all docs were signed and notarized and 5 days after they said i needed more money for my taxes which showed to be part of my fees in the refinance. I let them know that was part of fees and they said it wasn't. I contacted my lender and he said it was indeed part of the deal because that was the main reason i refinanced my house to get the taxes corrected. Poppy one of Orange coast titles account people was unprofessional and said that it wasn't her problem, when i asked to talk to her manager Fallon she also said that it was on the lender for this mistake, I then contacted the lender again and he was able to provide me an email showing that poppy let him know that the taxes were paid and things were good to go which showed she lied about things when questioned. I recommend that if you are doing anything that you make sure they are not using this company because they like to run over the little guy and don't do things right. Later the lender said that the legal team would be reaching out and i have not heard back from anyone there about this, almost like they hope i just go away and eat the 4000.00 difference. I will be filing complaint with BBB. read more

A word to "Song G." Sounds like your issue should have been with your agent not Erica, if you didn't want to use this title company why did you? We sold a house in June and Orange Coast Title made a mistake on the legal description of the house so the County was not able to process the sale. Because of that, the bills for the City and the County AND the property taxes were not transferred to the new homeowner and continued coming to us at our new address. We discovered the mistake in July and our realtor contacted Erica at Orange Coast, who told us the mistake was fixed. We continued getting City and County bills for the old address and found out in September that Orange Coast STILL had not fixed their mistake! When we contacted Erica again she made excuses, blamed other people and lied to us. Eventually we had to sign a "correction grant deed" in late-September. I have spent MANY HOURS on the phone with the City, County, and the tax assessor and this still is not right at the end of October. We JUST received the property tax bill for the house we sold 4 months ago, and the Tax Assessor's office told me today the new owners will not receive a bill! We also received their city and county bills for months - since we did not pay their City bill there was a lien placed on their house. Erica said there was not a lien on the house (we knew there was!) then she said IF there is it would not affect our credit. We lost credibility/trust and HOPE this does not affect our credit! When the new owners receive their bills for the City and the County, they will be HUGE! We feel bad for the new homeowners. This has caused a lot of anxiety, stress, and money for us and the new owners also. We understand mistakes can be made, but when a professional says it's fixed we trust they'll follow through, especially with the biggest transactions of people's lives. Then when confronted that the mistake was not resolved, making excuses and blaming others, and not fixing it right away is extremely unprofessional. I will never use Orange Coast Title again, and neither will any of my friends or relatives. read more
