I had an excellent experience at Dr. Kolodenker's office. All the staff at the office were very professional and friendly. There wasn't any wait time- my appointment was very timely. Dr. Kolodenker is very knowledgeable and experienced. He addressed a concern I had regarding a sore area on my foot and was able to treat it on the spot as well as give me advice on how to care for it at home. I was also able to ask him questions about results from my previous foot surgery and he patiently took the time to listen to all my questions and address them thoroughly with great detail. Came in 4 months ago to see Dr. Yang. I had been having left achilles for a few months after a sports related ankle injury. The appointment is very rushed, I do not get time to ask all my questions, and it ends in ~10 minutes with a recommendation I do PT for achilles tendonitis, do plantar fasciitis stretches, and consider orthotics. Along with two months of no-sport and then a gradual return to activity. Great -- all of that made sense, and all of that would have been correct had I actually had mid-foot tendonitis. I went to PT, for 3 months strengthend my foot, calf, posterior chain, and balance. I enjoyed it too. I follow the rest recommendation to a T, and work with a great physical therapist. My leg feels great, I gradually return to activity, and the pain comes back. I move to SF, and go for a second opinion out of frustration. I get told that I have insertional achilles tendonitis, NOT what I was previously told. I should not be doing plantar fasciitis stretches, I should be rehabbing an entirely different way. I don't understand how a podiatrist can miss that. I acknowledge that it was a busy day for the doctor, but I wasted over 3 months not playing my sport and rehabbing incorrectly because I did not get an accurate diagnosis. read more

If you need a great foot doctor, you have to see Dr.Kolodenker. I had a swollen foot for the past month and a half. To make a long story short, I saw my regular podiatrist and he said it was due to the middle toe and the beginning of a bunion. He realigned the toe and set me up for a hospital surgery. I also saw an orthopedic doctor, a foot specialist. The doctor concurred. My wife convinced me to see another podiatrist. I saw Dr. Kolodenker and he immediately saw the problem. The big toe was rubbing against the next toe which was starting an infection. He separated the toes and began treatment. The swelling subsided and the pain was relieved. I cancelled my surgery. Thank you Dr. Kolodenker. I would not hesitate to refer him to my family and to all my friends and associates. read more

I started having pain around the arch of my left foot. After a month of enduring these sudden bursts of discomfort I called and was given an appointment in two days. Once I filled out some online paperwork I was ready to go. This office is located across the street from Hoag hospital in a medical plaza. Dr. Coyer attended to me. He took his time and asked questions and listened to what I had to say. He was able to determine rather quickly that I had plantar fasciitis which was easily treatable. He gave me advice on how to treat it and showed me some exercises, all of which successfully took care of the pain. If you have feet issues (and by that I don't mean a foot fetish) I wholeheartedly recommend you give the team here a visit. read more

My husband was in to have some calloused feet addressed, along with some knarly toenails. We really liked the doctor. He was so personable and also effeficient in dealing with my husband's feet. He removed the the problem callous, trimmed his toenails and filed them. The receptionists were also very nice and equally efficient. I've been dealing with neuroma like symptoms on my left foot for just over 2 months. After receiving just ok care at another facility, I decided to make an appointment here especially since I've been in the Hoag network forever and I love it. The appointment scheduling was SO easy with the option to text. I got an appointment for a Saturday (2 days after I reached out), which was a pleasant surprise. I arrived about 10 mins earlier and I was seen right away. The front desk staff was so nice and efficient. Dr. Yang was awesome! He was so patient and thorough and explained everything in layman's terms, which I was so thankful for. After walking through my treatment options, I decided to just suck it up and go for the cortisone shot in my foot. He was extremely honest and said that it would hurt which I appreciated. Definitely wasn't pleasant, but also wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! Dr. Yang made it extremely comfortable and I was literally in and out in about 15 minutes. While the other doctors seemed informed and confident, Dr. Kolondenker was calm, assured and optimistic about my foot's ability to stay attached to my body! I had a great experience here 5/20/22. My son (7 year old) had an ingrown toenail that was infected and very painful. He is terrified of doctors and needles. Not only was the office quick in response they also were able to get us in right away. My son was not happy about the process until the end when his pain was gone. Dr. K. has been professional and accommodating. Good luck though trying to get a call back to make an appointment or relay a concern. I have tried 4times now by leaving messages with their on call service and have still not gotten a return call. I saw Dr K. And what he prescribed and did in the office did not relieve my pain. It's a shame that in this day and age a call can not be returned after leaving 4messages. Thank goodness it's not a life and death situation.I have texted as well, if I can't get a call back via texting, voicemail then it is just too unnecessarily difficult to use this office unfortunately. read more

Operating facility cramped and unprofessional - prior schoolhouse. No post surgery equipment provided or suggested to minimize DVT risk. Two blood clots as result - not discovered by doctor until patient insisted on verification with ultrasound, post follow up visit. In the future, suggest if they have too many surgeries to turn down work before doing substandard work. Impact of mistakes made in surgery is permanent. read more

This is not a review of the Doctors, but of the overall support staff. I called Orange County Podiatry, to inquire if they take my insurance. After being put on hold for nearly 15 minutes, a receptionist took down my information and stated that someone will give me a call back. A month later no one gave me a call back. After reading all the reviews on Yelp, I thought I would give them another try. I called back yesterday, and waited 10 minutes and went through the same ordeal. A woman called back 2 hours later, but unfortunately I couldn't take her call. When I called back and requested to be transferred to Mary, I was placed on hold yet again for 8 minutes, only to be told that we can not transfer your call (Not that she was busy or unavailable to take the call, but we can't transfer calls) and we can give her a message and call you back? If this is the experience I receive just scheduling an appointment as a new patient, what if there any issues? I am going to take my business elsewhere. read more
