But what really set me off is that I went in yesterday for my checkup. I had an appointment scheduled two weeks ago but they called me that day to ask if I could reschedule, and I said sure, even though I'd already taken time off work for it. I arrived yesterday and checked in. After sitting in the waiting room for 52 (FIFTY-TWO!!!!!) minutes after my appointment time, they finally called me up to the window to tell me that they no longer accept my insurance. I pointed out that it's the same insurance as I used last time, and they said that's when they discovered it: six months ago when they tried to bill my insurance and got declined. Yet at no point in that six months did they reach out to tell me. Not six months ago when they first found out. Not two weeks ago when they rescheduled me. And not even at any point in the FIFTY-TWO MINUTES they made me sit in the waiting room waiting for my appointment. The receptionist gave one of the least sincere apologies I've ever heard, and I'm pretty sure the dentist was standing within earshot but didn't bother to apologize or anything. Glad to be gone from this place now!
