Apart from that, Dr Raval gave me only 2 minutes of his time my last appointments with him. Leaving various health issues unresolved. When requesting 2 days worth of a pain medication before I see pain management (I have severe arthritis, fibromyalgia and now dealing with shingles on my tongue and in my ear canal. I wake up crying in pain.) He refused. Now I have to go to the ER before I see an oral surgeon and pain management. I can't switch pcp's any faster. Do NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Any medical practitioner knows that this could easily result in life threading seizures. When I said that to him he told me I was threatening him and became very rude and nasty. He even told me not to address him as "Sir" and I must call him Dr. Regal. I got the feeling that he is very scared of something. He had a woman I had never seen before following him around and taking notes. This man told me if if I have a seizure just got to a hospital.... Sure... My immediate response was so confused, so I asked "shooted what?" He reply's "the heroin"! Tears immediately came to my eyes. I've never even seen heroin let alone have any experience with it. (And absolutely no judgement to anyone who does/has) but for over a year my blood pressure was between 165-180/96-118!! Never once was I sent to an ER, had an EKG, he didn't even acknowledge it until months later when I proposed we get a handle on my B/P. This dr's office is NEGLIGENT, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL AND SO POORLY MANAGED. If you care about your health at ALL, I beg of you do NOT put your life in this mans hands! You will be treated like you are a burden, you will wait over an hr and a half AT MINIMUM and I will challenge anyone to the truth of this statement....he will literally spend under 2 mins with you. He is NOT A PRIMARY CARE DR AT ALL! Even his employees said that his family that came in to help him run this legal drug house are going to run it into the ground. This review is for the ghv family health center located on Lake St., in Newburgh. I go there for…read moreall of my services. Urgent Care is the best, hands down, and most of the time I see Dr. Kate. She always has the warmest smile, and her attire is quite dapper. I wish she was my PCP. My complaint is about ob/gyn. I had an appointment to get an iud. When I walked to the back, there was a slew of women having a pow wow, and as I passed, I heard, 'It's for her.' Ok. It WAS for me, but they made it seem like it was a new procedure, and I was a test patient. No problem. Let's just get 'er done. Undressed and waiting about 20 mins just to have a nurse come tell me that the midwife didn't want to proceed, no other explanation than that. I left. I then made an appointment at PPH and got it done. I went today, for a breast exam. I was early, got called to the back on time, did the little things with a med tech, who asked me what my issue was. I told her that my reason for being there was on the screen in front of her. She reads it, and then says what the issue was. I then said, 'Ok, well, that's the issue. That's why I'm here.' She tells me the midwife would be in shortly and I needed to undress from the waist up. 40 mins later, I'm still waiting. At minute 41, I just got dressed and left. Is it intentional, that my visits to their ob/gyn never go as planned, or was the med tech mad because of my comment? When I left, I didn't see my chart in the place it should be near the exam room. So, maybe she was a little salty, and decided to make me wait. She was so unimportant that I don't even recall her name, and I never forget a name. Needless to say, I won't be returning to the ob/gyn at ghv family health center. Ob/gyn gets no stars. In my opinion, from my experiences, they need a real ob/gyn, or two. Let the widwife be optional, for those who choose to see her. She clearly gets overbooked, and cannot keep up pace. I had other things I needed to do today, and waiting nearly an hour for a breast exam...then again, there's no telling how much longer I would've been waiting. But keep up the wonderful work, Urgent Care!

She seems like she would be an…read moreamazing doctor, but i'll never know since my appointment was suddenly canceled after 2.5 months of waiting. I called to reschedule, they gave me a date a week later so I took it no problem. Then I get my confirmation text and its with a different doctor now. They never notified me of that switch during my call, I specifically wanted to see Dr. Rieper per her background and education. I called again to resolve this change. The person on the phone says they are sorry and the switch should have been 100% made clear during the rescheduling call. She checks when I could get an appointment, and says it would be another 3 months past the initial date... She also said that its because the doctor took PTO that day. No issue with that, but if the office is cancelling my appointment its absolutely not okay to make me wait an additional 3 months due to their operations. I was told the office would be given a not to call me back and see if there is a time I could get in sooner. I waited 2 days, never got a call. I call back again, the person on the phone says their records show I was called and didnt pick up... I have 0 incoming calls on my phone history. They leave another note. I wait another week and still never got a call. I had to cancel all together because if this is how the office manages things I dont want to deal with it when I need medication on a specific timeline and their office just doesnt respond. Very sad, very disappointing.

It's difficult to put into words how caring and dedicated they are. The midwives and Dr's in Peekskill are amazing as well. (Literally saved my life.) Don't think twice, this practice is a true gem. I've also had good experiences with 2 GP's here, as well as the dental department. For the GP and dentist (not women's health)- yes, it's hard to get someone on the phone, and the wait is sometimes long... but that's true for most Dr's offices in my experience.
