I've passed this place so many times, probably hundreds, and I finally gave it a try. I never realized they did facials, always just thought it was Botox. BUTS THAT IS NOT THE CASE. After wanting to find a new facial place, naturally I got on YELP. I booked my first facial appointment online then decided I wanted to add on dermaplaning and Blanca was so helpful when I called. She answered all of my questions and really took her time explaining things. I didn't feel rushed at all. She even shared that dermaplaning and a hydro facial are her favorite combo, which made me feel more comfortable because I've never had dermaplaning done. I could hardly wait until my appointment day! When I walked in, I was immediately greeted with friendliness and smiles from Anna Lisa and Jillian! They offered me a drink, so many fun choices! Then I signed some newbie forms. After Anna Lisa took me to a private room. Ugh, the vibes were amazing. 10/10. Major spa vibes, scents, sounds, lights, and warmth. Love that you can get cozy and put the towel robe on. Then getting in the heated bed is the cherry on top, but the facial hasn't even started!!! On to the services...I got dermaplaning and a deluxe hydrafacial. Not going to say too much about the services because you really need to see for yourself, but Anna Lisa was amazing!!! I really appreciate that she took her time with me, answered my questions, and provided the most relaxed, and comfortable experience for me. I loved her and the services so much, that I became a member. Jillian was so knowledgeable at check out and provided all the info I needed to make this choice. I've been coming to Orangetwist for a few months now for laser hair removal. This was my first experience with laser, and the procedure is pretty straightforward. They do a good job answering any questions I have and the ladies at the front are always greeting me with a smile! I love that they offer you complimentary beverage when checking in, the lobby area is cute and clean too. The LHR procedure itself is relatively painless and quick. I saw great results almost immediately after. -1 star because I think communication around medication/antibiotics use beforehand could be improved. My first time visit here they weren't able to treat me because I was on an antibiotic, a quick call or questionnaire beforehand could have saved me the trip there. Overall, it's been a positive experience and I'm definitely returning since I bought a package during a promotion they had. read more

So happy I randomly found this place, and it happened to be right on time for an event they were hosting. I didn't know what to expect for the event, but they provided food/drinks, a consultation with a nurse, and special pricing on services. Throughout the event, I felt comfortable asking any questions to all the staff, and especially the nurses. Even though the consultation was free, I didn't feel rushed with asking the nurses questions and it honestly made me feel confident with the services I was going to purchase. They made me feel very welcomed and you can tell they loved their jobs and were all happy to be there. I also loved that they weren't pushy on any services. (I tend to not want to buy anything from pushy salespeople). My first impression: The spa is squeaky clean and the customer service is spectacular. Everyone including the front desk ladies, estheticians, and nurses were awesome. My appointment: It happened to be the same nurse that did my consultation. Darlene is the best! She was honest from start to finish. I've gotten Botox from a different place in the past and they recommended way too many units that I didn't need (I had no idea because that was my first experience and didn't know better). With Darlene, she assessed my concerns honestly, really listened to my goals, and still never ever tried to oversell anything. Parking/location: Nice plaza with restaurants and other shops. I got the Glo2Facial with Jillian and absolutely obsessed with the outcome! My face looks so plump, hydrated, and rejuvenated after the facial. Now that it got colder, my skin has been dry. Overall experience was amazing! Sometimes getting something done on your face can be a bit nerve-racking, but Jillian was very gentle, thorough and would give me a heads up when something was going to be cold or warm so I wasn't surprised. I love their location, plenty of parking, next to Wholefoods which is super convenient. The room and bed I was in was very comfortable and relaxing. They have a heated pad, blankets, knee pillow, refreshments. All the staff are always so nice and welcoming every time I go in! Val is the best injector ever! I've gotten Botox and lip filler done by her and LOVE my results. I recommended all my friends to her, and they love her work too! Needles can be intimidating and scary, but she always eases my worry by explaining the procedures and checking in on me. Val is very detailed and skilled in what she does. This is my second terrifying experience with the receptionist at this place. The first time she messed up my appointment and I had drove an hour to get here and had to leave with nothing done. 3 months later and she still has the same attitude, I've been to the LA location and have always had a great experience but for some reason they don't respect their clients here and pick and choose who they want to see. The receptionist literally looked at me weird and got out of her seat and spoke at me. Will not reccommend going here ever. I was a member here for 2 years or so and really enjoyed my experiences with all of the staff and services! Nurse Katie (I believe) was simply the best, but has moved on. I've also seen nurse Darlene, who has been great as well. I canceled my membership with them recently as I just got engaged and wanted to try Botox at my other MedSpa where I have my filler done in order to lock in the perfect tox dosage before the big day. I had a little bit of spocking from that appointment (not unusual for me) and came back to OT to see if they could do 1.5 units to fix it. They mentioned once I got there that they have a $150 minimum for Botox so I was basically just asked to leave. I was considering signing up with them again for the membership and I still might, but that last experience was just a little offputting for me. The other issue is that they don't have all of the services at this location that they offer at their other locations, such as lasers and more. Just something to consider! read more

Nurse Darlene made me feel comfortable and talked me through the appointment and asked me how I was doing each step of the way. She was gentle. has excellent bedside manner and I love that she is a perfectionist. My cheeks and lips came out perfect! First time getting lip filler and Katie made it a great experience! She was super knowledgeable and put all my nervousness at ease. My results were *chef's kiss*. It was noticeable but still very natural. I even ended up going back after a week to get a small lip flip (Katie's recommendation). Pain level was minimal for both injections and recovery. The facility itself was very clean and kind of reminded me of a European Wax Center. My advice for newcomers- Get the monthly membership! You get special rates for all the services + and a $200 gift card. By the time you're ready for your next appointment you have all the money you need on your account (the monthly membership fee goes towards future services). I can't wait to come back! read more

I've been coming to orange twist since 2020. And this review is long overdue. The front desk staff is attentive and close out my session pretty quickly. It's always very clean and refreshments are stocked. Also the mini couches are super comfortable. The bathrooms are individual and super clean. Nurse Valerie is very professional and is the only person I will trust with my face. I've gone to multiple people through out the bay for under-eye filler but their work is not as natural and effective. She also takes classes to continue perfecting her craft and fulfilling her patients' needs. Val very soft spoken and such a sweetheart. I am not the most trusting person but I trust her with my face and my newest life dilemmas. Whenever I come I'm left in the best mood. I'm even happier when my Botox sets in during the week lol. I was in dire need of a facial because you know, COVID happened. My skin was so congested and needed some serious TLC. Upon first arriving at the office, first impression was that it was very clean and organized. Check in process was seamless and easy. I had a HydraFacial with esthetician Tiffany and it was such a pleasant experience. First step was to do a skin analysis by this high tech machine that measures spots, wrinkles, UV spots, bacteria, etc on the skin. Tiffany was able to break down exactly what was going on on the surface of my skin. Onto the facial, Tiffany explained every single step along the facial which I very much appreciated. She was able to make the experience very relaxing and most importantly, not painful. Tiffany has such gentle hands that even extractions didn't hurt! Afterwards, she showed me all of the blackheads, oils, and gunk that she was able to extract out with the hydra machine and I was amazed. I left the spa feeling extremely refreshed and so much better about my skin then when I first came. Fast forward couple of weeks later, my skin texture has significantly improved. Can't wait to return to OrangeTwist for chemical peels. I recommend Tiffany for all facial needs. She is seriously the best. I am so glad I found my go to spot for facials. read more

Nurse Val is truly the best!! I've never trusted anyone with my face as much as I do with her. I had pretty full lips already but I had a tendency to over line and just wanted more of a rounder shape and added plumpness. The first time I saw her I showed her a photo of how I draw out my lips and she gave me the desired shape to a T if not better. She's very high demand for a reason so I just make sure my appointments are booked ahead. When it comes to injectables it was important to me that I went with someone I really have trust in-- She's very informative and honest before the start of any procedure and always so welcoming. My experience here was wonderful. I'm a mom of young children and I work full time. I don't usually pamper myself. I already have a pretty decent skincare regiment. But, maybe due to the change of seasons or something, my skin was starting to feel too dry. I booked my appointment for a facial and took a few hours off work for a little me time. There is plenty of parking in the square, but I did book an appointment prior to the lunchtime rush. Walking in to Orange Twist, it looked pretty upscale. I liked the simple aesthetic of the gray/orange pallet they used for the decorations. I was nicely greeted and offered a beverage. Then I filled out the standard forms and waited for my appointment. My aesthetician's name was Jillian and she was very nice. She asked me what my main skin concerns were so she could tailor the facial to my needs. The spa table was so nice and warm and the blankets were soft too. The facial consisted of scrubs, muds, warm towels, cool stones, facial massage, and soothing creams. It was so nice and relaxing. My skin is prone to redness and peeling, but after the facial it felt so smooth and hydrated, and I was really surprised to see that there was no redness! I felt so refreshed and pretty. Jillian provided me with after-care instructions and sent me on my merry way. Taking care of the bill was quick and easy. I will definitely be a repeat customer! This clinic works by membership. They charge a monthly membership fee which can be used towards the treatments. I am guessing how they make money is by keep cancelling the appointments last minute. Since I joined the membership earlier this year, I got 3 late cancellations already. Only 2 appointments were able to go through. Two of the cancellations were made less than 24 hours of the treatment. Although the third one, to be fair, was made 2 days ahead, I was not able to book another one with a different clinic before my upcoming event. read more

Illuminate Face and Body Bar was recently replaced by OrangeTwist - Santa Clara. I must say, even with the new face change, this place offers superb service and awesome results. Their location is amazing! It is in a nice plaza that neighbors Whole Foods, Starbucks, Opa's, and other retail. Scheduling an appointment was really easy. I was able to schedule an appointment through Yelp and was assisted by Ajay (Site Director). He even informed me of their Black Friday offers which made me more anxious to go! My initial experience wasn't the best (which required me to come back three different times). Ajay and Martha helped make up for it though. The staff were all very friendly and their best interest was my health, safety, and satisfaction. I left my first appointment without getting any services done because they had a difficult case before me. I was a little upset but understood. Plus, I needed to get back to work anyway so I couldn't wait any longer. On my 2nd visit, Martha found a lump on my bottom lip (which was basically old filler) and advised to dissolve that first. She was very apologetic about this since my filler had to be delayed again but again, I understood. So here I go on my final appointment day, I decided to get Juvederm Ultra Plus. Martha was very nice, informative, and her injecting skills are superb. She numbed me up pretty well and the pain level was 3/10. Bruising and swelling was to be expected but they're currently healing pretty nicely. After not having much luck finding someone new I booked an appointment at OrangeTwist on a recommendation and I'm so happy I did. I like to wait until I've been to an establishment or person at least twice and I can say with confidence Anna is hands down one of the best estheticians I've been to. She is kind, calming and takes her time with each step of the process. The process is so relaxing I even dozed off for a few seconds, which I NEVER do doing any kind of self care service because I want to experience every second. Update: In the last month, I have completed two more services, and my Five Star Review stands. Microneedling: I had my first micro-needling session with Darlene. I was initially nervous because...well, this is my face we are talking about, and this is the first time I've done this. Darlene was so confident and made me feel incredibly comfortable, and she had an "I've got this. You're going to be completely fine" aura that I appreciate. She asked me how I was doing throughout and checked in on me. She managed to make this session painless but highly effective. My skin looks fantastic. Keravive Scalp Treatment: I have been super dry with this cold weather and started to get dandruff. Also, I have some hair thinning, so I wanted to try a scalp treatment. Anna is excellent. She is confident, all smiles, and indeed a breath of fresh air, which is definitely appreciated when trying something new. She did a fantastic job removing all dandruff, and the treatment felt really lovely. I have been on a venture to look for the perfect aesthetic nurse who is familiar with The Russian Lip technique. Luckily, my hairdresser and cousin told me to check out Nurse Val on IG. I was blown away by the results of her clients that I booked an appointment right away. On the day of my appointment I was telling Val my concerns and asked her what her opinion was regarding the other procedures that I wanted. She was extremely honest and informed me whether I needed them or not. She was informative about the fillers that are available and which one she recommended. I totally love that!! The procedure was quick and tolerable. Val applied a topical numbing cream which I opted for instead of the dental block (which she provides if you're scared of the pain and want to be fully numbed). I was so happy with the end results of my lip augmentation and lip flip (which I added). Overall, the staff at Orange Twist Santa Clara are amazing. I was nervous at my first appointment, but the front desk team and incredible manager Vanessa assured me about the process. My esthetician, Erin, has been outstanding at each appointment. She checks in with me before the appointment to make sure I am happy with my results and always explains clearly what she is going to do. On one occasion I had to bring my son with my to the appointment and he waited in the lobby. The front desk staff were so sweet to him and gave him a box juice and snacks and when my appointment was done (it was only about 5 minutes) he did not want to leave! Darlene is AMAZING and I appreciate her so much. I made an appointment with her to get my lips refilled. Mind you I have had them filled in the past (other place) and thought they needed a refill. Who doesn't want bigger lips? During my appointment she really took the time to check in with my lips. She looked at them, felt them, took pictures and then handed me a mirror to talk about them. Darlene literally said do you want my honest opinion? I of course said YES (cringing why she said that). Oh she gave it to me. Unfortunately my filler has migrated. I am so blessed Darlene not only saw what was happening but she observed and came up with a solution. She saw what was going on, we chatted and came up with a plan to correct them. OUR plan is to take time and dissolve what was previously injected, let my lips heal and then redo them with her best suggested filler.
