I spent about an hour at the appointment and ultimately left without receiving any cleaning at all. After the initial exam, I was told I would need a deep cleaning instead of a standard cleaning, and that I needed to schedule a different day. When I asked if I could just proceed with a basic cleaning as I had waited a few weeks for this appointment, I was told they could do one if I "signed a waiver", after agreeing to this she changed her mind and said she "ethically" couldn't do a basic cleaning on me. To give more context, I am in early stages of perio as most people are when they age. I have no bone loss, and the majority of my "pockets" are in the 2s and 3s with some molars in the 4s and 5s. I am not categorized as someone that desperately needs dental work by far. I've had four cavities my entire life, and was told I had none at this appointment as well. I can't help but think this was somehow a money grab. The staff member was polite and professional throughout, but to be told that without agreeing to a much more expensive treatment, I wouldn't receive any cleaning at all was so strange. I wound up later being quoted about $1500 for the cleaning she said I needed. I understand wanting to provide appropriate care, but I would have appreciated clearer communication ahead of time and more flexibility in options as not everyone has dental insurance or $1500 laying around for basic dental care. I also want to mention that I was surprised to learn this clinic is part of a larger corporate group. It presents itself like a local, standalone practice, so I didn't realize the connection until the day before my appointment when they called to say I had been to one of their other locations previously and therefore didn't qualify for the new patient pricing. That part was fine, but it felt misleading since the other clinic has a completely different name and is in another city. I had no idea the two were connected--especially since I hadn't had a great experience at that prior location--so that added to the overall frustration.

Called them and they said that they are not a preferred premier member so delta only pays 80%. So I'm left with a $50 bill, the part that's irritating is that was never disclosed and since delta dental is one of the largest insurance companies in MN it seems like they would know that right away. I won't be coming back if I have to pay for insurance and $50 for every visit. Just be aware that if you have delta dental you will be paying out of pocket for routine cleanings. I also asked if they could adjust their billing and was told no. Just a heads up so you are aware of what you are getting into.

The staff here are so kind, friendly, understanding, compassionate, and just fun! They always put me at ease, talk me through everything before and as its happening, and value my voice in the process. The office seems small when you walk in, just a little waiting room with a few chairs and one bathroom, but the back is actually quite large with multiple cleaning and procedure rooms. Everything is clean and tidy - the bathroom even has a pump mouthwash if you want to "freshen up". At my most recent cleaning I ended up needing a cavity filled. They were able to squeeze me in right then so I didn't have to schedule for another day and the procedures was super quick! They started with a numbing gel on my gums so it wouldn't hurt when my injected the rest of the numbing mediation, waiting patiently until I was fully numb and then got to work. They also kept checking in with me every step of the way. I 100% recommend this dental office to everyone!

For my actual appointment, they offered me luxurious amenities from an entire menu! l got the heated neck pillow and headphones with cable TV, and they even surprised me with a smoothie afterwards! Dr. Horn also made sure to prep my lips with lip balm before starting anything, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the whole experience feel comfortable and genuinely caring. The results from my first appointment have been incredible and far exceeded any expectations I had.
