We have a 2.5 year old rescue Aussie Shepherd who was neglected outside in a kennel for a year…read more This has left Bandit with reactivity issues, especially resource guarding. Rachel and her staff have worked with so much care and dedication in the last three months to help us help Bandit with these issues. We still have a ways to go. Rachel has researched ways to help Bandit that are above and beyond our expectations, and she made time to communicate with our Veterinarian. Opportunity Barks has been so positive and supportive to us. The daycare and kennel facilities at Opportunity Barks are fantastic. Rachel's private trainings include videos of the work we have done and have really helped us bring Bandit a long ways in a short amount of time.

He has been an only dog for 4 years now and while good with other dogs at the park, he wasn't social with them and preferred people. I decided to try doggie daycare. He wasn't thrilled at first, whining a lot and not social. The staff worked hard at trying to make it work for him and he got to where he was good for full days. They kept at it and found ways to redirect his anxiety and I was able to leave him for 5 days boarding while on a trip. He learned to play with others and settled in wonderfully. He used to hesitate when I left him, now he runs in excited and barking and doesn't look back! The facility is well organized, clean and comfortable, full of activities with ideal conditions for any dog. The staff is kind, caring, knowledgeable and proficient in dog training. Whether you're looking for quality, constructive play time for your dog, have a dog that needs socializing or training, I cannot recommend Opportunity Barks enough!

I had already signed up for another puppy class (which was prepaid) but my puppy was getting worse after two lessons. I signed up with Ken for their group lesson. Fantastic investment in my puppy!! Our first lesson was one on one. Basic and easy-to-follow exercises and practice followed. Ken's patience and calm demeanor calmed me down and put me back in control. We (the puppy and I) were awkward in group and had a tough time keeping up at first, turned out I have more bad habits than the dog! We enjoy our group lessons, and they are all obedience focused unlike the previous group which was more lecture to humans and puppy play time. (Mixing obedience and play immediately became a bad habit I'm still working on.) I'm glad I started early while my puppy was young! She is complimented often in public about how quiet and well-behaved she is and she is only six months old. She heels, sits, down, jump, stays, comes, and is getting better every practice. It takes time, this is a great start! Highly recommend the training and the trainers!!

I came out of Costco around 1730 and noticed 2 dogs in an SUV emblazoned with "Professional Dog Training Ken Schilling (541) 935-2041" on the door. It was 75° outside. The dogs seemed okay, but I wanted to monitor them till their person came out. A blonde woman in her late 50s-early 60s, wearing glasses and an olive green mask came out at around 1800, unloaded her cart then disappeared back toward the store for another 5 minutes or so. I learned from calling the non-emergency police line (at 1806) that I should have called immediately instead of waiting for the person to come back out. Lesson learned. She departed at about 1808. **Patronize this business with caution if the blonde woman has any hand in caring for the dogs.**
