Our family has been at Windsong for many years. All three of our kids are currently attending. We…read morevalue the commitment of their educators, who are deliberate and meticulous with their teaching practices. We value the school community, who are wholesome, welcoming, and supportive. We value the lack of technology in the classroom, which, in this age, is practically unheard of in any other school setting. All these values coalesce into an education where our children are thriving. Resilience is reinforced through small everyday actions that instill perseverance and enable children to push through life's difficulties. The five C's of twenty-first century skills include critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, and character. I see this every day with my children and their peers. On field trips, facilitators of the tours have commented on observing these traits too - a testament to the quality of their education. Things that should be highlighted: - In the grades, first through eight, the students travel in a cohort with the same teacher. This builds rapport, year after year, and better understanding of how the child learns best. - It's tech free. No computers, no tablets, no movies. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Kids have their hands on realia. Not screens. - Updates. Parents receive updates from their teachers, snippets of what's happening in the classroom. - It comes with a wholesome community. Friendly, welcoming, and inclusive with plenty of coordinated opportunities to socialize with others, if your family is socially inclined. - The kids are outdoors every single day with plenty of recess time and weekly hikes. In the grades, they take plenty of field trips, locally and further. They camp and take international trips. It's an amazing experience for the students. We're excited to be a part of this school community and look forward to many more years here.

This school was great (in kindergarten before Covid) until it wasn't (grades). After Covid they…read morechanged on multiple counts. They now include books in some KINDERGARTEN classes that include teaching impressionable children that they can change their gender or become non binary. Most parents have zero idea these books are in the classroom!! For the 2025-26 school year there wasn't a 5th, 7th or 8th grade class. They say the teachers and students move in cohorts together through the grades but if there is a need for a teacher for the new incoming first grade they will pull a teacher from upper grades then either dissolve the upper grade class or hire someone who (IMO) has zero place being a teacher with little to no Waldorf education. On one occasion the split the class that no longer had a teacher and put half ahead into the grade above making them skip a grade and half below making them redo the grade they just did. Next year (2026-27) the school will only go to 5th and the upcoming 7th grade has been "dissolved". Several students from last year's 5th grade class had to repeat the grade once they left Windsong. The current 4th grade class had 23 students in 3rd grade and next year, 5th grade, there will be around 8 students from what I've heard. Multiple children from this class that have left will be repeating the grade. The school I'm sure will respond and try to spin things in their favor as usual. Maybe even ask current parents to leave 5 star reviews (I was once a parent here, for roughly 8 years, who was asked to do this so I know first hand) I was told that parents who are leaving bad reviews are just disgruntled, want money etc but after reading up on the law suits (yes there has been more then one) and a criminal investigation involving the 6th grade teacher at the time (2024-25 school year) and talking to parents who I was told left (they were actually kicked out), my eyes are open and I can see things very clearly now! I recommend doing your own research before placing your child in this place. When I say research, talk to people who are no longer there, read up on the lawsuits etc! Since my family is no longer associated with that place I have had multiple people reach out to me and share their story! Between February 2025 through April 2025 three families along with all of their children were kicked out. In September 2025 another family was kicked out. Around May 2026 yet another family was kicked out. Many parents and children still at the school believe these families left. All families who were kicked out were blindsided! The reasoning... laughable IMO! I know because I've talked to each and every single one of them!

Im leaving another review because now I have a daughter in 8th and 4 th grade. You womt find…read moreanother school like St Dominics where your daughter will receive such a good sound Catholic education and formation for life. 6th grade was the turning point where classes and school become more difficult. Because the sisters dont use internet or computers and media as most people do nowadays communication is definitely much slower than one would expect in our day and age. This is in part because the sisters do all the teaching and caring for school grounds etc and they dont hire someone to be secretarty they take turns doing that too so this keeps the cost of the school very affordable. My older daughter seems happy there but she is at the age where the grass is greener on the other side and school is hard. This is normal at this age. I remember going through it as well. She gets along w some of the teachers better than others. Again. Normal. Is the school perfect? No. Are the kids who go their perfect or teachers perfect? No. Theyre human. Most definitely the school is a blessing however challenging it is. Our children nowadays need to learn that they "can do hard things". I wish someone had taken the trouble to teach me this before i became a Mother.
