This place has been around since 1897 and is actually the oldest continually operating business in Seaside, which honestly makes perfect sense the second you walk through the doors. Then you add in the giant selection of candy, the homemade treats, the popcorn, the chocolate, the old school charm, and suddenly you realize you've been wandering around the store for forty five minutes carrying six pounds of snacks you absolutely did not plan on buying. I am a complete sucker for the white cheddar popcorn and the cheese popcorn. Throw in some Laffy Taffy and now we're talking about a full blown Seaside survival kit. Every single trip to the coast, I stop here and "accidentally" leave with enough candy to supply a small movie theater. The store itself is beautiful too. Bright, nostalgic, cozy, and full of that classic beach town energy that makes you happy just being there. It sits right near all the fun downtown, close to the arcade action and the heart of Seaside, so stopping in feels like part of the experience. The customer service is always fantastic, warm, welcoming, and patient with people like me who spend fifteen minutes debating popcorn flavors like it's a life decision. And somehow, even with the quality, it still feels like you get a good deal. Chocolates, candies, caramel corn, saltwater taffy, coffee drinks, sweet treats everywhere you look. No trip to the Oregon Coast feels complete without walking out of this place carrying a bag that's way heavier than you intended. Five stars all day long.
