So MANY things about my reconstruction surgery did NOT go as discussed! I had numerous concerns I called and emailed about, but was repeatedly told nothing was wrong and to just wait it out. It turned out quite a bit was wrong. After my 6 week mark I was medically released and Dr. Jenq no longer responded to my calls and emails. I attempted to appeal to higher powers to see if there was an option for correction, but was told by "the powers that be" (and my insurance) that the doctor said, "I got exactly what we talked about and she did everything right." Then was also told, "Sorry you aren't happy." It literally looks like a half a job was done, but I have been dismissed multiple times and advised at multiple levels that I will NOT get help. I had surgery in January 2022 with Dr. Jenq. My entire experience from consult to most recent post-op has been fantastic! I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Jenq and her team. I have been treated with such care, kindness, and compassion by everyone. With all my appointments I have felt as if I started to develop a relationship with the team. I never felt rushed or just like a number. The entire team clearly loves their job and brings that energy and joy everyday. Throughout the process, I called several times with questions. The team was incredibly communicative and supportive in answering any concerns I had. I was referred to Tina Genq because I had ruptured very old silicone breast implants. She gave me good advice not to replace the implants, which now I'm very grateful for. It was a big job to remove the silicone and calcified tissue. I was amazed at the work she did! My breasts are smaller but perfectly matched and no scars. She is very skillful. She is very patient. I had a lot of worries and questions and arguments. She is very easy to communicate with. Also she is friendly and kind. O Also she has an awesome staff. Sue and Easter are very present and available for any of your concerns and are helpful with your needs. They're very professional and also very warm and friendly. And also sweet and funny. Easter is sometimes hilarious and they both just lift your spirits. Tina and her staff are awesome! read more

I had a breast reduction with Dr. Jenq in May 2021. She listened to what I was looking for and took into account the gender dysphoria and chronic pain that having large breasts impacts daily. She helped me to look at options and was receptive to talking about options that she was not able to show in previous patient photos. Her work is pretty good, with some areas for improvement. Firstly, this surgery required no drainage tubes. That's a huge plus for most people getting surgery. Secondly, my scars healed pretty quickly. There are some parts of the scars that look more 'jagged' and less smooth. Some spots took longer to heal than other and some were more sore than others. I had two nipple grafts-they took the longest to heal but I was impressed with the overall look and shape of the breasts Dr. Jenq created. Overall, just over a year out from surgery and they're not very visible nor do they cause discomfort most of the time. And I've also had other doctors express what a good job was done on my reduction. Thirdly, while Dr. Jenq has done a good job communicating and making me feel heard and understood, there was more information about recovery needed than what was presented to me. I felt the 4-6 week recovery was conservative and going back to work after 2 weeks also felt like a conservative suggestion. For me, it was about two weeks without easily being able to lift my arms/driving. I was able to start swimming/lite exercising about 6 weeks post op. I had lingering scar pain for about 3-6 months. After that point I was pretty much back to 'normal.' There are still parts of my right breast that are still regrowing nerves but that was always a possible side effect from the surgery. Lastly, my journey has been a lot of ups and downs. I am still not sure a reduction was the right choice for me and may want to have top surgery at some point. I feel like Dr. Jenq was very open to continuing this discussion at all our post-op appointments and supports whatever decision I make. I feel confident that if it is in my future to get top surgery, I would return to Dr. Jenq. read more

The staff was nice, but Dr. Jenq herself was kinda cold. Dr. Jenq is decent at her job, and her cosmetic outcomes are average. That being said she lacks key communication skills and is not very friendly. The whole consultation felt very rehearsed and she did not answer my questions very well. At times I felt like she was not all there mentally. My overall review is if you are looking for a cosmetic surgeon who is welcoming and great at their job, this is not the place for you. If you want a decent cosmetic surgeon, and don't care about personality or how well they communicate, she is a good option. read more

When you are a patient the last thing you should have to worry about is the person booking the appointments, especially if you have recovery, pain, etc... to concentrate on, and a great doctor should not have to lose clients due to an extremely unprofessional and outrageously rude receptionist, but sadly this is the case here. Dr. Jenq I'm sure worked very hard to get to where she is, and is a great doctor, but her practice is marred by the most unprofessional and rude receptionist that I have ever encountered. I was yelled at, hung up on repeatedly, talked down to and was not allowed to speak on the phone, and all regarding a change of appointment within the allowed time frame. So I'll find another specialist to finish my recovery, and just to avoid the receptionist, Keesha. Seems after reading other comments on yelp, etc... that this is a pattern. read more

Let me start out by saying this review is based on the office's staff and business practices and not the skill of the doctor. That piece I can't review because, well I never got to meet her. I have had a swollen/painful wrist for almost a full year. After physical therapy, an X-ray, a nerve conduction study, I finally was granted an MRI. it showed I had some torn ligaments and would need surgery. It was suggested I see a plastic surgeon and I was referred to Dr. Jenq. It took 3 weeks to get an appointment with her, which was reasonable for a specialty doctor. I looked at my MRI results 3 weeks ago online and was certain the doctor had too prior to my appointment. I was in the car, on my way to the appointment when I got a call from the receptionist in her office saying that Dr. Jenq just looked at my MRI and she wouldn't be able to do this kind of surgery. The receptionist, oh so bright and cheery, made sure she told me how lucky I was that I didn't have to come in and pay a co-pay now! "Isn't that great?" Ummmm. No it's not great. I moved meetings and arranged for my employee to come in on his day off! Bottom Line: The doctor should have looked at my MRI more than 1/2 hour before my appointment. The receptionist then said in her most chipper voice "we have a couple referrals for you if you like to write them down". I told her I was driving, on my way to my appointment, and couldn't write anything down. I told her I would call her back in a few after I pulled over. Less than two minutes later, I am in a parking lot dialing the number...Oh! They're at LUNCH now. How nice. I dial 0 to get to the answering service. I told them I was just on the phone with the receptionist and told her I would call her right back, I just needed to pull over. She tries them and says "no one is answering, you'll need to call back after lunch." Ugh! Since I'm almost to the office anyway, I decide to give the door a try. I go in...not at lunch. I tell her my name, tell her about the phone and she says, looking at the phone "hmm, I don't know why it said that." She didn't actually DO anything about it, just looked at the phone. I wanted to ask her if she was really a stupid person or if she just played one in the office, but I restrained. Seriously, it would have just been nice if the office had just owned this and apologized instead of being fake/sugary sweet. She wrote down 3 referrals for me to try. I got home and two out of the three phone numbers she wrote down, were wrong. I guess she's not just playing. I was thinking about getting a little lippo since I was going to be under the knife anyway, but with the way that office handles things, forget it. read more

Dr. Jenq and her staff rock!!! Dr. Jenq is and outstanding surgeon with a high attention to detail. She is warm, sensitive and did an outstanding job repairing my thumb after a work related injury. I am an operations manager for a wedding venue and my hours change frequently. Dr. Jenq's staff (Amy and Erin) were always so accommodating and friendly. Amy was always so helpful and understanding when I needed to change an appointment. I always felt completely taken care of by both Dr. Jenq and her staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Jenq for any reconstructive procedures. She is AWESOME!! read more
