Views were spectacular looking over the vines and surrounding rural area. Grounds were immaculately maintained and included many sitting areas allowing you to fade into the country landscape. Weather could not have been more beautiful. We were greeted by Joan, the gracious host, that showed us around the compound of living rooms, common sitting areas, kitchen and breakfast area, including the jacuzzi and sauna. Extremely charming, with walls adorned with Joan's family pictures through the decades. We met Joan at the nearby cellar, as all new guests get a complimentary wine tasting and choice of one full glass the evening of their arrival. The chardonnay and pinot reserve showed promise, however the remaining were uninspiring. Regardless, we were able to socialize with two other couples from Vancouver, B.C. and Florida. Our room was the Yamhill, which was on the second floor among four other rooms. Being among the cheaper rooms of the bunch at $150, we had one small window that overlooked the entrance and gardens near the pavilion. Decorated in a cute country motif with a stuffed brown bear as our mascot we named Merlot. Room was very clean, King bed was very comfortable and the night was extremely quiet. Breakfast was downstairs at 9, with coffee available at 8. You could hear neighboring guests rustling around by 7. Family style breakfast was ample with fresh fruit and cream, eggs with a cheese sauce, homemade biscuits and hash browns. A perfect way to start off our day. A highly recommended country oasis to top off your wine tasting escapades.

Breakfasts were delicious and there was plenty for a late riser like me. I would love to go back and take advantage of some of the amenities that are better experienced when it's not raining.. like horseback riding and hiking.

The true "stretch" limo was stocked with cold waters, music system, and comfortable seating that requires some scooting and crouching to reach a couple of the front-most seats. "Walter" is the operator who was timely in his arrivals and departures, and familiar with the wineries and routes; he offered solid coaching on timing to allocate given our unique itinerary. He was prompt and clear in his communications, including his requirement for cash paid upon departure, no smoking in the vehicle (GREAT), etc. He is direct in his approach, so if that doesn't work for you then you should look elsewhere, but it will cost you twice as much. Starting from being picked up from the airport, to being shuttled to each guided tour to the Ayodya resort (which this amazing place is a whole other story in itself) to the same amazing service we received in Singapore by buffalo tours. Kudos to Kim for making our weekend absolutely perfect…read more The house is located in such a beautiful setting, surrounded by vineyards, trees and more nature than you can possibly ask for. Our very active dog was in love with every inch of her garden/yard and all the room it afforded to run around in. The spotlessly clean loft was waaayyyy bigger than the photos do it justice. No detail was overlooked, from the abundance of toiletries, fully-stocked kitchen and drawers, board games, and the assortment of snacks for day trips. Owner Kim made sure we had a flash light for late night returns, left water bowl and bags out for our little guy, and even sent texts while we visited to make sure everything lived up to our expectations. You can really tell Kim cares to make sure her guests have an enjoyable time. One of the most thoughtful and memorable highlights is Kim's freshly baked muffins she had ready for us the first day. Something she is no doubt famous for already! I would highly recommend a stay in Kim and Paul's loft. We will definitely be staying with them again in the future and look forward to another lovely visit to the Aurora home Kim has made so ideal for her guests!
