This was our last stop of the day. Place had a cellar and also a bed and breakfast where we decided to spend the night. Views were spectacular looking over the vines and surrounding rural area. Grounds were immaculately maintained and included many sitting areas allowing you to fade into the country landscape. Weather could not have been more beautiful. We were greeted by Joan, the gracious host, that showed us around the compound of living rooms, common sitting areas, kitchen and breakfast area, including the jacuzzi and sauna. Extremely charming, with walls adorned with Joan's family pictures through the decades. We met Joan at the nearby cellar, as all new guests get a complimentary wine tasting and choice of one full glass the evening of their arrival. The chardonnay and pinot reserve showed promise, however the remaining were uninspiring. Regardless, we were able to socialize with two other couples from Vancouver, B.C. and Florida. Our room was the Yamhill, which was on the second floor among four other rooms. Being among the cheaper rooms of the bunch at $150, we had one small window that overlooked the entrance and gardens near the pavilion. Decorated in a cute country motif with a stuffed brown bear as our mascot we named Merlot. Room was very clean, King bed was very comfortable and the night was extremely quiet. Breakfast was downstairs at 9, with coffee available at 8. You could hear neighboring guests rustling around by 7. Family style breakfast was ample with fresh fruit and cream, eggs with a cheese sauce, homemade biscuits and hash browns. A perfect way to start off our day. We stayed here last holiday season and had a lovely time. Since it was off-season we got a great deal on the beautiful Sunset Suite located (along with one or two other rooms) slightly away from the main house. It was secluded and relaxing, with a wonderful view.. though I imagine in the high season it's a little different... especially being located right across the road from Domaine Drouhin. They were very accomodating, pleasant and down to earth.. just like most of the other nice people we met in the area during our stay. Breakfasts were delicious and there was plenty for a late riser like me. I would love to go back and take advantage of some of the amenities that are better experienced when it's not raining.. like horseback riding and hiking. read more

Stayed here last week. First the good news -- this is a perfect location for touring wine country. It's centrally located, with a short drive to all of wine country and a couple of the top wineries -- Domain Serene and Domain Drouhin - literally within walking distance. it's also very comfortable, and much more than "just" a B&B. There are horses to ride, vineyards to walk through, a grand piano downstairs, a hot tub, steam room, great views, and plenty of parking. Great WiFi connection and decent download speeds. This would also be a great place for a wedding, and we saw how they do that while we were there -- I'm sure that was a great day! Now, the not-so-good stuff... Our room, the Vineyard, had a tiny balcony with no real view due to large trees on the property. The other windows in our room (which is part of a 3 room addition built out of an old stable) were too high to afford us a view of the valley. The bed was a squeaky, iron-framed canopy bed. The water went out one morning for about 3 hours, right before breakfast. The satellite TV isn't configured right, so you'll get HBO and local channels, but no CNN or Weather Channel -- kinda makes it hard to stay connected to stuff going on back home. The wine (a free glass the first night) is okay, but you'll get spoiled by the wines elsewhere, so plan on bringing an extra bottle back with you to enjoy outside on the patio or balcony. There's a kitchen in barn/stable converted to additional rooms, but it's for the caterers who service the weddings and meetings on-site, so don't expect it to be too clean. There's also a fridge in that kitchen (none in the rooms), but no way to secure anything, so be careful where you leave your Tillamook cheese -- or at least mark it well! Breakfast is good, but not on a par with some of the other B&Bs we've been to. The menu tends to repeat after the second day... But if you like waffles with tons of fresh fruit and cream, scrambled eggs with crispy bacon and sausages, you won't be disappointed. At $200 a night, we were expecting a little bit more. It would have been nice to have some kind of wine service are in the room, considering why most folks are there. A couple of clean glasses, a bottle opener and maybe a cutting board and knife would have been nice. A nightly wine tasting would have been great. There's got to be someone around there who would coordinate that for the B&Bs -- what a great way to show off your wine to visitors! Coupons to local restaurants would have been nice. There was a book of menus, but no notes from anyone on what was good -- or bad. [Thank you Yelpers!] I would have appreciated it if the doors would have been locked after the cleaning crew finished, especially considering the quantity of expensive wine we had in the room and my laptop computer -- although the owner assured me "We never lock our doors up here!" I think I've seen those words in one or two headlines, haven't I? But this review is tending towards whining now (pun intended), and I do want to say that Joan is a gracious host and she has a very well-organized and comfortable B&B. You can do much worse when choosing lodging. I recommend at least a night here... [Insider tip: If you are in the add-on building, there's a coffee maker in the downstairs kitchen that will be ready to make coffee when you get up - just hit the button, so you won't have to wait for the 8am coffee in the main house. My Husband and I fell in love with this place on our first day of venue hunting for our Wedding that was on 8/17/13. He had me call to book it as soon as we got home. (He is normally not the type to jump into these things) On our Wedding day we had the perfect 80 degree day with a sweet little breeze to balance it out. The view is spectacular and the grounds are well kept and beautiful. When I arrived at Wine Country Farm I wasn't feeling very well (wedding day nerves) and was greeted by Sherri the owner/wedding coordinator. She showed me where everyone would be staying at the B & B. She kept me informed about everything that was going on and when things were going to happen even giving me a heads up to prepare for them. My nerves will still out of whack as my dad and I walked up to make the walk down the aisle. I even said something along the lines of "I don't think I can do this". (Not the marriage part, the being in the spotlight part) As my dad and I turn the corner I notice all of our guests standing up looking our direction. I felt even more anxious. I happen to glance down and see a cat sitting in the middle of the aisle starring up at us like he was one of the guests. My dad and I started laughing followed by everyone else as a friend of mine picked the cat up out of the aisle. My anxiety was gone. The vineyard cat "Barney" made me lighten up and saved the day! The rest of the ceremony for me was awesome and relaxed. After the ceremony we had dinner on the shady side of the lawn. My husband and I were sat in the gazebo surrounded by tables with all of our friends and family. The cat made his rounds to all of the tables to welcome everyone. He even sat in the gazebo in between us for some photo ops. So many pictures of the cat with different people at our wedding. The rest of the night was perfect! After all of the festivities we had several of our wedding party members staying with us at the B & B. We all stayed up talking for about an hour or two then off to bed. Such a great night! I had to drag myself out of bed the next morning because it was so comfortable. The view was very soothing and pleasant just like the rest of Wine Country Farm. After finally getting out of bed we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with most of our wedding party and got all of our wedding stuff cleaned up. Sherri approached me after the breakfast and asked what my plans were for my wedding dress and if I was interested in selling it. Her son was getting married and his soon to be wife needed a dress at a reasonable price. After a hoarding conversation with my brother, I decided to sell my dress. It was beat up so rather than pay extra to have it sewn and cleaned, I got some money back. Sherri runs a well oiled machine and will make sure everything goes in the order you want it. We met with her about a month prior to the wedding and also 2 days before. She put my mind at ease by going over everything with us in advance. We even bought the wine for our wedding during Thanksgiving weekend at a discounted rate and they held it for us. I highly recommend this venue. So many people still rave about our wedding and some even called it the wedding of the century! read more

My partner and I stayed here a few summers ago. I was particularly bummed on the eve of my birthday weekend in July, sitting in Portland..because my partner had been too busy to make any huge surprise plans for my birthday. The fancy-looking high end Youngberg Hill was booked solid, and since that was where i wanted to go, i was moping. Well, he did a little internet research and found one room left at Wine Country Farm and early Friday evening thats where we headed. Although the room didnt have a fireplace or a tub or a sprawling view of wine country, it was wonderful. There was a king size bed with a pillowtop mattress, pure cotton sheets and a thick down comforter (this was fabulous, because in my mind there is nothing worse than polyester!) there were chocolates waiting by our pillow and flowers which said happy birthday. we werent able to book a massage on such short notice, but after an evening of wine tasting and a fine dinner in town, we came back to a quiet (albeit full) house. we made ourselves tea in the kitchen and had the sauna and hot tub (both in a covered porch) to ourselves! we rested post-steam on lawnchairs overlooking the vineyards, and hazelnut orchards under a starry sky - the kind you miss by living in a big city. the next morning we had an incredible breakfast - strata, berries with fresh cream, some sort of meat (bacon?), scones, and awesome coffee. the owner sure does know how to cook. read more

We received a gift certificate as a Christmas present from my wife's brother and his family for this place and eagerly anticipated spring to use it. We were not disappointed. Our room(One of the more economic choices) had a wrap around deck with a view of the vineyards below and a sweeping vista of the valley, a very nice bathroom and a real wood burning fireplace. The main house is nicely appointed and there are lots of little settee areas around the grounds where one can take a glass of complimentary wine and enjoy the awesome view and surroundings. The cat and dog were wonderfully friendly and added to the positive experience. The cookie jar was stocked with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, and yes, I can attest they go just perfectly with the locally made Pinot Noir. Breakfast was freshly made Belgian waffles with apple compote, maple syrup and bacon, all quite delicious! Joan is a wonderful host and a beautiful classy lady. Pricing for these rooms is very in-line with similar B & B's but the view is much better. I could highly recommend this place for a weekend in wine country. read more

We lucked in to a room at the Wine Country Farm because some of my other choices were already booked. The location is impeccable (between Domaine Drouhin Oregon and Domaine Serene and less than 2 minutes to either tasting room), the views are great, and the service was phenomenal. The decor is a little dated but part of the charm is that you feel like you are going to stay with Grandma and she happens to live in wine country. I also have to say that the breakfasts were a highlight l and provided a great base for a day of wine tasting. We were leaving on a Sunday, and the UPS Shipping store was closed, but they were nice enough to hold it for a day and drive it to the store for shipment the following day. We would definitely stay here again and next time we will seek it out. read more

My husband and I stayed here for three nights last week and were pleasantly surprised with our experience, as we booked it on a bit of a whim. The location is absolutely perfect if your goal is to be right in the heart of wine country. As a few other reviewers have noted, you are just down the road from several incredibly picturesque wineries, and a very quick drive to some incredible restaurants in Newberg, Dundee, and McMinnville. We stayed in the Willamette room. It was clean, well-maintained, and spacious. It also has a lovely view looking out over the vineyard, which is wonderful to wake up to. We thought it was a solid value for the nightly price. Joan is knowledgeable and makes a fabulous (and filling) breakfast. She and Jessica made great recommendations for dinners - we loved every meal we had! read more

We stayed at Wine Country Farm when our son graduated nearby. It was a gorgeous setting with rooms and patios that look over the Dundee Hills. Our room (the Willamette) was nicely decorated and had one of the most comfortable beds I've been in! We were greeted by Gracie when we arrived and each morning. She is pure sunshine. What an absolutely fabulous place. If you want to be centrally located for the major Wilamette wineries and have great view of the vineyards everyday when you wake up - check into this place. Joan is the proprietor and makes awesome breakfasts! It's quiet and connected to their own winery. Such a long (and better) way away from Napa B&Bs. We were greeted everyday by a couple of beautiful Australian shepards. A farm but not like regular farms - totally updated and modernized. Also - a great alternative to the Allison and not as expensive as the Black Walnut! We stayed in the Oregon suite - very large room. read more

We stayed one night in the Yamhill room and were so glad we decided to stay in Willamette Valley instead of going back to Portland. The views from the house are amazing and the hosts were wonderful. When we arrived there was no power, but that did not stop the guests from enjoying the complimentary wine tasting. We enjoyed talking to the other guests during our tasting and as we had done all day tours we decided to stay in for the night at eat at the house. I'm glad we did. We hung out in the living room with another couple and watched college football all night and had a blast. That's probably not what most people would consider an ideal bed and breakfast stay, but after wine tastings all day it was nice to have a low key, relaxing evening. Our room was cozy and comfortable and I wish I could have slept in that bed the entire time we were on our vacation. In the morning, we had an amazing breakfast but due to the rainy weather didn't have an opportunity to walk around the grounds, which was disappointing as the views were stunning. My husband and I went in April for an Oregon wine trip. The location was perfect. We were close to so many vineyards and wineries (including the ones on-site). Sherri, one one the owners, gave us a wine tasting and we had a great time getting to know her. The view in morning was beautiful. I only wish I would have taken a picture.
