I was debating writing this, I haven't had this bad of nails in a very long time. I had scheduled a…read moregelx and had to reschedule, I quickly agreed to the new date and didn't realize that it rescheduled to just gel, which I take accountability for not completely reading the full message. She worked around it and called her boss (next client) to see if she could come a little later. My baby was with me due to unforeseen circumstances and it was a little awkward. The owner showed her a Barbie doll and was helpful toward that situation. My nails she messed up on didn't put the bonding glue on a nail and continued. They seemed fine till I left and noticed 2 of the nails completely crooked and when messaged about it she said she adjusted the tip for nail bed and Is out of town and to file it cause that's what she would do. My other fingers were straight, never had a problem before. It was on a Friday and by Monday a couple of the nails were falling off and broken. I don't do much with my hands so for 80$ nails and 20$ tip, to fall off within less than 3 days isn't great. I have paid way less and they lasted longer and looked better and if not they would have me come back in and take off the nail and re-do it. A second one split 5 days in, they looked rushed and not put on correctly

When I'm paying this much money for a professional service, I expect the stylist to take her time and make sure I don't walk out of the salon with dye left on my face and skin. That was a huge disappointment for me. What made it even more disappointing was looking at pictures of other clients and not seeing them leave with color on their skin. It made me wonder why that same level of care wasn't taken with me. If you aren't being careful enough to remove the color from my skin before I leave, it makes me question how much care and attention is being given to my hair as well. I also expected more highlights and dimension. My hair came out much darker than I expected, and when I looked at it afterward, it just didn't have the pizzazz I was hoping for. I felt like what I wanted wasn't completely heard. I understand that a stylist has professional opinions about what is best for my hair, but ultimately I am the client, and I want to feel included and listened to. Trust is extremely important to me when choosing a hairstylist. When I find someone who listens to me, takes care of my hair, and makes me love the result, I am extremely loyal and will continue going back regardless of the cost. I was hoping Abby could be that stylist for me, but unfortunately this experience did not give me that confidence. The haircut itself was okay, but overall I was very disappointed. For me, it's not just about the final color. It's about the care and attention you receive when you're spending your hard-earned money. Unfortunately, I didn't feel I received that level of care. Based on my overall experience, I would not return to Abby and I would not recommend her.

The mood and atmosphere in the studio made me feel relaxed and the chair is quite comfy, so much that I doze off! I was to demo watercolors for two days. Vanessa did my hair and she did a beautiful job EXCEPT she used the WRONG COLOR and I ended up with Ash/mousey brown hair! It made me look DEAD! I called her and she wanted me to come right down but I had NO extra time! I quickly put on a Frosting cap and lightened it in sections. Some parts are brassy so I washed it with purple shampoo to soften it. I used to frost for years. I paid Vanessa $174 including tip. Because "I" touched it she would not help me! If she put in the wrong combination she should stand up to it!

During the process, she always asked how i feel, if it's ok, and if the room temperature is good,... At the end, she also gave out samples that will help me skin. After everything is done, i checked on mirror and saw my skin looks very bright, hydrated and not red like i usually had.
