I can't say enough good things about my experience here. I have been regrowing my hair after chemotherapy-induced alopecia and was very anxious to have anything done to it, but Megan made me feel so calm about the entire experience. My hair had grown back curly and crazy and I had no idea what to do with it. I didn't come in with an idea of what I wanted done, just that I wanted to feel more like myself on my upcoming wedding day. Megan advised a Keratin treatment and extensions, neither of which I had done before. With these options, I was able to style my hair without having to cut any of it off (something I really didn't want to do). I absolutely love this place and Camila is amazing at doing small colorful extensions in my hair! She was so wonderful at fixing my hair when I was the one that screwed it up! So I came here for the first time right when things started opening up again. And I was in a major need of hair help. I tried to dye part of my hair pink by myself and failed miserably. I have dark brown hair, so I had to bleach it. Well, of course my hair just turned orange. Then when I tried to apply pink hair dye to it, it didn't take, so I just had a weird orange streak in my hair for a while. It was annoying me, so eventually I just decided to cut it off....mistake....don't do that! But anyways....here I come rolling into Arrow with almost a partial bowl hair cut where the streak I cut out is and the rest of my hair super long (it looked terrible, yes, lol). I ask Camila about extensions, and even though I only had a haircut scheduled, she made time to go ahead and put in extensions since her next appointment wasn't for a bit, and completely saved my hair and my self-esteem lol. And both the haircut and the extensions looked awesome!!! Exactly what I wanted! Maybe even better than I had hoped for, because I kinda thought I had ruined my hair to a point where it couldn't be fixed lol. Also love the time she takes to shampoo my hair! One of the best feelings is someone else washing your hair! Also, she's super friendly and knows when I want to talk and when I want to sit in silence! And I went back since and she put in a new blue streak in my hair which I also love, though I think I'll go back to the pink streak next time. She made me love extensions and discover a new thing that I absolutely adore. This is definitely part of my hair routine now, keeping up with a streak of color extension. Hannah is the best esthetician I've ever had, I honestly look forward to my appointments with her which is saying something because I get a Brazilian wax and have never looked forward to that process before. Stephanie always has wonderful products to use and I have loved the samples that she has provided me with. I have done extensions for years. Most recent 6 years have been the tape-in extensions. I love those as well but you really can't wear your hair up with them. I just switched stylists and came to Arrow Beauty Bar and Megan (the owner) did the Habit hand tied extension method. She got me 22' hair in all these cool colors and the beauty of it all is that the time in between to get redone is months and you can wear your hair up in all these different ways and you can't see any extensions! Cant say it measured up to the nice receptionist. Bitter disappointment. The consultation appointment was embarrassing she was so not any good at knowing how to bleach hair past the yellow tone I want it done to platinum Z.. she just had no suggestion, no knowledge, no idea. She tried to say my hair was broken off in the back and she's dead wrong.. I cut it like that . Then she points to their wall of hair wax products, full of chemicals and waxes - and says I should buy some to repair my hair before she will colour it . But the stuff they carry is cheap and won't repair bleached hair And she has no idea how to turn it platinum anyway, or she would have said so ... Totally not a good place . read more

I'm very much enjoying my keratin treatment. It's the first one I've had so I don't have much to compare to, but I feel like they did a good job. Abby did a good job explaining the different levels of treatment and their pros and cons. The place is clean and modern. They offer you a drink when you arrive which is always nice. They are clearly professionals. It is expensive. But I kinda feel like that's a good thing because you know the staff are actually being paid well? Not sure, but be prepared to drop some dollars. These ladies are my dream team. It's a one stop shop for all things beauty and they deserve more than 5 stars. I'll give a breakdown below for all the yelpers like me that won't go anywhere until checking here first. Ashlie is hands down the best nail guru in town. I use to go to Asian salons and my nails would yellow. I've been seeing Ashlie for 2 years now and can wear gel with clear polish and they look fresh and healthy. She's also a great artist and can do many designs/nail art. Megan is a saint who does all kinds of extensions and matches to my hair perfectly. She also puts up with my OCD and is accommodating to my obsession with being blond even though I have natural dark brown hair. Her hair cuts and extension application are best in the biz. She also knows how to approach you gently when she knows you need to give your hair/head a break and will be upfront so you have the best care for your hair. Abby is a micro blading magician. She filled my brows making them look full but natural with no pain. Camilla is my lash angel and is so precise and delicate with application. I appreciate my appointments with her because she's gentle enough that you can basically fall asleep on the table and no judgement if you snore. Stephanie is a skin care rockstar and helped heal some of my face issues and also does a great brow wax. No matter who you see in the salon these ladies are staffed with the best in Santa Cruz. Well, let me tell you, that is the exact OPPOSITE of what I have on my head! First of all, Megan is awesome; both as a human & a hair dresser. We were transitioning me from my natural COVID dark brown combined with pre-COVID brown covered red, to some golden summer highlights / balayage. This was not a task for the feint of heart, my hair is not easy to work with in its virgin state. She saw me for a consult a few weeks back, we scheduled & she executed the PERFECT summer look. I highly recommend Camila! I booked with Camila last year for a haircut and absolutely loved how attentive she was to my long, thick hair. It is so great to have a stylist consider how you want to wear and style your hair before making that initial cut. I've continued to see her for trims and touch ups AND THEN found out she also does eyelash extensions!!!!
