The one sanity I found was hiring Harford Cleaners to restore all of my textiles. They arrived promptly to help me sort my things into 'save', 'donate', and 'toss'. They packed it all up, and in a few days returned the things for which I requested a rush order. Their work on those items was outstanding. A few months later, when the seasons changed, I requested the return of a few more items of clothing, They selected the items accurately, and delivered them promptly. Fourteen months later, my unit still can't be inhabited, my things are still stored there. Throughout, they have done a great job with the paperwork for me and the insurance company, saving me much aggravation. I strongly recommend them for remediating fire and smoke damage to textiles.

Then, after speaking with someone else, the staff member told me it could be done, but only for an additional $5. This feels like misleading advertising and poor customer service. If your standard service can't fulfill what you publicly claim, then your motto needs to be changed.
