My longtime hair stylist, Raul, moved to this salon recently and it has been such a wonderful (and elevated) experience. Raul has been cutting and styling my hair for over 4 years now, so when he made the move, it was a no brainer that I would follow. I have curly/wavy hair with sections that are straight as well. And it is SO thick. Nevertheless, he has flawlessly styled short, medium and long cuts for me, with layers and no layers. He has been through my whole hair journey! Now, at Graeber, I am getting the full hair spa experience. It is a very friendly, and lively, environment but you feel spoiled with pretense. Newly to Boise, I googled best salons in the area. I tried a different one nearby, was a cute place but the stylist did not listen to my very specific style and request. When booking with Graeber they have a very intensive online "questionnaire" to determine what stylist would be best suited for your needs. I was paired with Raul. He listened to me, viewed all of my photos and gave me feedback on my style and photos and we were in agreement on the best path forward. The receptionist also was very welcoming, offered me coffee and gave me a tour. They carry Oribe and Aveda products which I use so that also is great. In addition to cuts/styles they have extensive skin care routines/facials. The services and products are not inexpensive but if you know what you want this is where you can get it. There was a glitch with their online booking system in which it made it appear that no openings were available, thankfully they reached out by phone and I was able to get in. I explained about the issue booking and they said they would address that, so if you don't find a slot online I suggest you call. Also I found easy on street parking so that was definitely a plus. From the relaxing scalp and shoulder massage at the beginning, through the entire facial service, to the hand massage during, it was incredible from start to finish! Hannah is my stylist and she is amazing! She is so kind and fun to talk with, and she did a great job at giving me exactly what I requested with my hair! My appointment was for 10/14/2022 9am. I called to say i would be about 5 mins late due to some traffic on the freeway. I do not live close by. Found parking right away in front. I paid for 2 hour meter because I thought my bridal hair may take long since i have thick curly hair. To my surprise after walking in and meeting Katelyn.i see that my hair would not be getting washed. And she went straight into curling my hair and braiding it. I showed her some really pretty up dos of bridal hair. She said okay I can do that. She was done maybe within 30-45 mins.... t first she left a huge bump on my head that just made my awkward skull look like a complete conehead. I told her to get rid of the bump, i did not like it. In the end i had random braid and curly strings hanging from the side. I really just should've worn my head down. After looking at my bridal pictures, my hair looks completely awful! This was supposed to be a special day and was hoping to look decent since reading good reviews about this salon. I will attach pictures that i showed her and pictures of my awful hair style. She made me look bald on the sides and none of it looked like any of the pictures i showed her. $100 to look like my little niece braided my hair. Absolutely not worth it whatsoever. I feel like i have to redo my wedding photo shoot due to how awful this hairstyle was. I feel like if i was a hair stylist and a hair style did not look good on a client i would tell them. this is a really good salon, though just make it VERY clear on what u want. and speak up if they do something u dont like, or you'll leave unhappy and broke. they are really good at what they do regardless, so even if its not what you wanted, dont worry - it wont look bad at least lolll. so id totally recommend this place to anyone! just in general at hair salons, speak up n be clear about what u want!! ^-^ the inside of the place is also rlly nice!! and the soaps n products they use smell sooooo good lol read more

It is really hard to get an appointment at my regular place so I thought I'd try Graeber while visiting Boise. Shampoo, cut and style took a half hour. I thought that I'm paying for a cut more than an experience, hair looked better leaving than going in, so I should be happy, maybe she is just fast. After I washed my hair I was able to tell she just did a slight trim, I think. Or did I imagine her using scissors? I still needed a haircut. Visiting this salon was a waste of $70.
