He was patient and helpful. Purchased: Beautiful deep pink Hibiscus Tree for the Deck Organic Tomato Plants Dwarf Marigolds, Portulocca, and large red Spikes for pots on the front porch. Potting Soil A staff worker packed my car with plants and four bags of potting soil. There was a bee on a Marigold flower, and I asked him to get it to fly away. He did. The large Greenhouses were stocked with blooming healthy annuals and perennials. It was a sea of beautiful floral colors. One of the three Greenhouses had vegetable plants and herbs. They did not have Italian Flat Leaf Parsley, so I will look for it elsewhere. Checkout was organized and efficient. There were three checkout stations!

When you walk in your are immediately lifted by the brilliant color, the humidity, fragrance, and well maintained plants. The green houses are immaculate. Colourful annuals fit for the spring were aplenty both in the front and the back of the store, and we found plants here that we hadn't seen at any other major garden centre in the Capital Region so far. Maiden grass was the awesome find on the most recent visit, and the staff at checkout answered our questions about plant care which was very helpful. The prices appear to be competitive, as we found both lower, equivalent, and higher prices compared to several garden centres in the area. Parking here has not been an issue and they have their own parking lot, and we appreciated they were open till 7pm when some other stores were closed. I hope they stay open for a long time.

I wish their parking lot had more appeal though, it's badly in need of re-paving. Once you're actually inside, you'll find there's a lot more to check out than you can see from Western Avenue as well. Visiting at the end of the season is a bit of a 2-edged sword. They're out of a lot of things right now as they stock up for fall and Christmas promotions. But at the same time, you can get some really good deals on close-out items, as I did this time. This store is well staffed and everyone there was friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to coming back here as their seasonal inventories change.

The edible was what I was there for: we spent ages deciding between different varieties of (very healthy) cucumber starts and patio tomatoes. They even have stuff that I'd never seen in a nursery around here before, like lemongrass. Even if you don't have any pressing need for petunias, the greenhouses are a really nice environment for wandering around and smelling the flowers for a while.

Since I also went early in the day, everything was well stocked, I had a crew member show me to each item I was looking for, and it was still pleasantly cool in all the green houses. Basically, it was paradise for me for the time I was there. As a hobby gardener who only has container plants on my patio, I appreciated the extra help and pointers when I had questions. This is high on my list of places to go when I'm looking to pick up a new plant.

We stopped by here recently after the attractive lighting and misting behind the shop window caught our eyes while driving through the street, and what we found inside was just as interesting. Apparently opened about six weeks ago, this shop has a variety of pots and plants for sale (and for our viewing pleasure, of course) and a few odds and ends, like the plant hangers. The prices vary but generally seem reasonable, and apparently there's a 50% off sale going on with a purchase of a live plant and a pot. The wall of plants was beautiful to look at, and it seems like the staff can help with plant selections and care instructions depending on whether you're a beginner, a pro, or somewhere in between. I like this shop and hope they do well.
