I usually stop by here a couple times a month to pick up a few craft brews as well as some low carb beer. I found a 4 pack from a NJ brewery and decided to try it. I picked up a couple more 4 packs of others as well. After paying I grabbed my stuff and headed to the car. I had one 4 pack nestled under my left arm and another perched on top of that. As I was walking away from the register I heard a metallic pop from one the 4 packs. I looked down and it looked like one just popped out of the retainer and I didn't think anything more about it. After just getting out the door, one of the cans literally exploded. This caused the 4 pack resting on top top topple to the ground. My other hand was full so I couldn't stop it. I stuck my foot out to help break the fall but it still hit the ground and one of those cans popped and started spraying beer as well. There was a woman coming in as I was leaving and she assisted me as I was now covered in beer and cans were rolling around the ground in front of me. I went ahead and put the undamaged items in my car and headed back in with the damaged items. The lady that assisted me had already went in and gave the cashier a heads up as to what happened because she saw everything. When I made it inside, another cashier, maybe the manager was very apologetic and called to the back and had someone bring me new replacements. I'm completely covered in beer. Technically,I guess he didn't have to replace the ones I dropped but he did anyway. The cashier that checked me out said she heard it explode from inside the store. The customer service is top notch. The store is on an easily accessible corner and is neat, clean and orderly. Well lit. As for the beer that exploded, I tried one of the non exploding versions and it was meh. I didn't hate it, but I have certainly had better. Also, if the woman that helped me in the parking lot sees this, thank you and DM me. I want to take you to dinner. I lost track of you in the fray.

I took the case back and the cashier tried to argue with me that there was no "best by" date when it was clearly on the bottles and the box. He refunded part of my money and tried to say that because there was missing bottles that he would keep part of my payment. He eventually gave me a full refund after I argued with him. Not worth patronizing this place. I will never go there again!

The Azalea Spritz (see photo) was refreshing & enjoyable (not too dry or not too sweet). In addition, we tried the Pasatelli soup which was a very smooth blend of tomato based soup with some spices. Lastly, we enjoyed some brick oven pizza which we tried the mushroom (see photo) and traditional Boardwalk style pizzas which were absolutely delicious, light, but extremely tasty. Please do not let me forget about the welcoming service provided not only upon greeting us but continued through the meal. If you get a chance, please check out the Auburn Road Vineyard for an enjoyable and good meal with absolute picturesque backdrop.

Ok ... they got me! So excited to see an email from them in the morning with raffle for a "cooler…read morebag & goodies" from a local brewery we love. We decided to make a special trip to stop in after dinner that night ... especially as we were running low on our beer supply. While DH was checking out their craft beers notably from Other Half Brewing ... yes, it's a decent selection but priced a bit higher than others at $22.99 (4 pack) ... I decided to find the "raffle box at the front registers" to submit my entry for a shot at the cooler bag. Hmm ... it didn't seem to be there. Looked around the store some more ... still no luck. Found a nice employee to help and she couldn't find it either even after looking in the back too. She said it's usually up front right next to the checkout registers (as advertised in the email) ... but it's not there and all managers have gone for the (Saturday) night. Ended up having DH put his beer back and gave our rolling basket to another young man (who thanked us as he was struggling with holding his 4 six-packs) and off we went to our usual place Clayton Liquors for their crowler/growler fills in addition to the best service and best beer selection around. Wow ... they really got me to come into the store for a "non-existent" raffle?!? We used to come to Buy Rite often (even before they changed their name a few times - as it's the closest place to our house) ... but stopped a while back as one of their old cashiers is pretty rude. We do try to support local businesses and this place does have everything you need ... but now it has 2 strikes in our book. We'll have to see if we go back ... maybe for another good raffle ... huh!

On their FB page, they have videos from 2021 advertising the shop. There's a vibe that they really know their alcohol and pride themselves on the business and aren't just simply selling just to sell. We were planning some daydrinking so my only requirements were "light and low ABV." Ocean Beverage came through with a 6-pack of Victory's Cage Radler for $9 and change. Perfect! They also had plenty of other refrigerated and room temp bottles, plus a nice selection of wine, hard liquor, and mixers. Check out was simple (have your ID ready if you look young!) and we were on our way in no time. It's not a huge store and it's nothing fancy, but it's definitely a good spot in a pinch!

In hindsight, I do recall hearing yelling, from across the room, but she/they/them yelled at me all the way until she/they/them got to me until I realized that she was speaking/yelling to...at me by this point, In an extremely rude manner, she insisted that I needed shoes. I understand there's rules, but she could have approached me in a little nicer manner... As I was walking out 15 people were staring at me like I was a monster. We are at the beach for gods sake. Lmao It would be nice if the women had a little more couth, when she approached me. Yelling from across the room is extremely childish. You could always walk up to someone and speak to them.
