I've been here a few times now and it's a cool place to chill and relax. They have a good amount of brews on hand and you can buy their beer there in growlers or cans if you want to. The place isn't very big but they do have a nice bar and plenty of tables and chairs inside and out that you can sit and relax. The servers have always been nice and friendly letting you sample different beers to see if you like them before ordering a full glass so the service here is very good. I recommend the fisherman's ale and the Millville lager is good too if you prefer something alittle lighter. Of course they don't have food but you can order and have it delivered if you like. This is a great brewery in South Jersey that flies under the radar. Located in a former garage at the old Millville Army Airfield (and still active airport), it has a really pleasant vibe of being out in a rural, wide open area. My girlfriend and I came here for the first time on a Tuesday afternoon and really enjoyed it. 16 beers on tap plus two hard sodas and one hard seltzer. They also offered several different kinds of seltzer cocktails, which I've never seen at other NJ breweries. We stayed for a while, had a few flights and individual pours between us and loved almost everything we tried. Favorites of mine included the Mosaic Man, the Fortescue Fisherman's Ale, and Lucifer's Blood. There is no AC inside and it did get warm, but there was a nice breeze outside on the outside deck. The bartender was also one half of the husband/wife team the owns the place, and she was incredibly friendly. We live about and hour away, but we will definitely be back. read more

Glasstown Brewing Company is one of the best breweries in South Jersey. It is so unique and off the beaten path which is what makes it shine, in addition to the variety of tasty drafts they serve. The inside and outside deck are not too large, having about 6 tables on each I believe. There is extra seating with a covered tent behind the deck as well. There were over 7 beers on tap when I visited as well as 2 hard sodas and a hard iced tea/lemonade. The blackberry beer was my favorite, I had a flight, and this was in it. I chose to get two more glasses of just that one, that's how good it was! The Czech Pilsner was also a really tasty beer. I wasn't a big fan of the maple taste in the porter, but my boyfriend loves porters and enjoyed it! There was one man working, but he kept up great with the small Sunday rush during the game. Oh and a fun addition, there are also plane and military outdoor exhibits/structures to look at right in the "backyard". read more

At long last, I finally made it to Glasstown on Saturday night. I went with a few local regulars who showed me the ropes. What I learned: 1. Grab free popcorn from the popcorn machine. 2. Eat the provided peanuts. 3. It's really hard to find a bad beer here. Do not even look for a bad beer. Actually, I don't know who would do that anyway...but you get the point. By the end of the night, I had rated all of my flight's beers above 4 stars on Untappd. That *never* happens. All staff were super helpful and welcoming, and they even came to the table to get drink orders and to drop off beer. No awkward I'm-going-to-SPILL walk! As a huge klutz, this made me (and, likely, their floor) happy. Check out their foundry and honey brown, if they're on. No matter how you feel about pumpkins, you're also likely to enjoy their pumpkin porter. Unless you don't like porters. Be sure to wander around the back to see their stash of malt, kegs and mash tuns before you leave. You get the full brewery experience at Glasstown, and that's awesome. Another south Jersey winner in the legion of strong breweries i this region. During this pandemic it can't have been easy for a brewery to keep afloat during the turmoil. Glasstown has seemed to have done it. We stopped in on a very hot Sunday. Had to mask up in order to order. They had about 15 taps on hand of which we probably tried half. Once you ordered and got your selection you could de-mask and enjoy the beer on their deck or patio area outside. The beers were all fresh and tasty with a nice diversity of styles. Personnel were extremely friendly, capable, and helpful. Definitely worth a trip. read more

The owners are friendly along with the bartenders.... The place is clean along with the toilets.... What an awesome brewery!!! It's a little far from our house, about an hour away but well worth the trip. This is just a tasting room, but you can bring your old food/get delivery to the brewery. They also provide peanuts and fresh popcorn for their guests. This is right next to the Millville Airport, they don't have huge signs for the brewery so you may get lost. The boyfriend and I each did a flight. You get 4 5 oz pours for $8. I really enjoyed all the beers there. I tried the clash of the pumpkins, nightcap blonde ale, lunch pale ale, and glasstown founders. all were delicious. The staff was super friendly and nice. We definitely plan on going back, just need the fill the car with friends, a board game, and food and it'll be a fun time at the brewery! read more

I have been to Glasstown three times and it's, by every definition of the term, a "hidden gem." The owners and the bar staff, especially Moriah (namesake of "Mo's Mixtape") are extremely welcoming and provide a positive experience that you'll want to come back to again and again. While most breweries will change up their menu regularly, Glasstown keeps its menu full of old favorites that you know are going to be there when you come back. Even seasonal beers, which may be more appropriate for fall or winter, can be found year round, because let's face it; the temperature may say 90 degrees outside, but sometimes you still want a dark toasty stout or porter! :) The only negative, which, in no way reflects upon ownership and management, is a group of regulars, with whom my girlfriend and her former spouse use to associate. They happened to be there last night, and upon finding out she was there, proceeded to play an infantile little game that involved members of the group taking turns to go peek in the windows or back door and running back to the group to reveal whatever little piece of worthless gossip they happened to gather......how mature for a group of 40 to 60-somethings. It made my girlfriend uncomfortable and was beginning to annoy me. Despite that, however, this is definitely on my list of favorites, even considering how far it is from home! read more

This is a gem of a brewery tucked away in rural South Jersey. They have a great variety of beer to suit various tastes. The light bodied Fortescue Fisherman's Ale and the 609 IPA are trusty standbys, and they feature a rotating lineup of other craft beers. The staff are friendly and it's nice to see families out enjoying the outdoor spaces with food ordered in. Cans are available to grab and they fill crowlers/growlers for other beers. Twenty-six breweries and counting! NJ is sorely lacking behind when it comes to craft breweries per capita but lucky for us, breweries are constantly popping up all around us. Glasstown is one of the newest breweries to open it's doors in 2013. My buddy and I finally made it here a couple of weeks back and I'm glad we made the trek! No official tours but some tasty beer with a friendly staff and a free smile. We tried their Lunch Pale Ale, 609 IPA, Smith and Wood Foundry Ale, and It's a Wonderful Ale. We even chatted for a bit with the owners who happily answered all of our questions. Unless you live close by, you may not really have much reason to be in the area. Even so, Glasstown is worth taking a trip to. My suggestion would be to make a day out of it and check out Glasstown, Tuckahoe, and Cape May Brewing Company. Good beer and good people. Glasstown is a great upcoming brewery in South Jersey! I've been going there since the beginning (flights were $7.00 because they had fewer beers). They seem to have a new beer every time I come back. Love the popcorn cart and the byof (bring your own food) policy. Although I wouldn't be surprised if they start selling pub food by the end of this year. My favorite beer is the Night Cap-- a delicious Belgian style brew. Love that their samples are $1.50 so you can try a brew before committing to it. Their staff has always been friendly and willing to talk if you start conversation or ask questions. It might take a few extra minutes to order when they get busy but they always seem to acknowledge your presence when you're waiting (customer service pet peeve of mine!) I first expected their vibe to attract pretentious hipsters or your typical Jersey red neck crowds, but their clientele is not that at all! The place is simple, intimate and clean. But like I said, something new changes every time I visit. They are definitely worth a visit, especially in nice weather when the garage doors are open. So I've wanted to try GBC for a while and finally invited a friend to join me on a sweltering Friday afternoon. The beers are great, bartenders excellent (Hannah is an architect of adult beverage), and the crowd is local, friendly. 13 in-house drafts, including two of my favorites, the 609 and the Danky Kong IPAs. The house is not air-conditioned, but there is a BIG ASS FAN the size of a Mack truck in front of a screened bay door. Plenty of cans and growlers to go! Good microbrewery with excellent craft. My husband and I are on vacation and a friend who lives locally took us to Glasstown. This was also our first time at a brewery! I am a light beer drinker only, and i've never been a fan of IPA's for that matter. But, I was so pleasantly surprised by both of the flights we purchased. I particularly loved the Nightcap and took home a growler full and finished it that night!! The staff were very friendly and I loved that they had games and the fire pit outside. High flying beers tucked away behind a small airport, Glasstown Brewing Company offers some of the best in New Jersey. I'm not a big IPA fan. Okay, I actually hate most IPAs. And yet, I really liked all of the beers as Glasstown Brewing Company. To reiterate the other reviewers, it's in a really modest building in an small airport in Millville, NJ. The tasting room can seat maybe 25 people (make sure you get some of that free popcorn). The tasting is four 5 oz pours for $8. As stated previously, I'm not a huge IPA fan, and this is an IPA lovers brewery and yet...I really enjoyed all of the beers I tried. They weren't overwhelming with that hoppy flavor, but had other flavors that added a layer of complexity. The dark beers were also exceptional, even though I hate coffee flavor, these were very tasty with flavors that didn't overwhelm (hints of coffee chocolate, and burnt oak). The pales were more my style, especially that Old 47 El Dorado Pale Ale, a step-up from your typical pale ales. In sum, Glasstown Brewing Company is built by people who love beer and are really passionate about bringing out the best flavors. Even as a non-serious beer drinker with a distaste for beers that make Untapped users excited, I can recognize craftsmanship when I taste it. Another gem in New Jersey that is conveniently located in the run down buildings of an "airport". My husband and I stopped here on our way home from Cape May on a whim. Although it was disgustingly hot inside (no AC and open windows) this was a low-key spot for really good beer. This is my kind of place! Nearby, homey, and full of tasty suds. Indeed the best thing Millville has going for it! Just a four-walled non-descript building at the airport. The doors are opened and large screens are there. This let's in the breeze but keeps out the bugs. There's about five tables and a bar with about 10 stools. There are 10 beers on tap, all brewed on premises. Get a flight, four six-ounce samples so you know what kind of growler to take home with you. The bartenders are super friendly as are the guests. A food truck is there each day with good food (lamb, steaks, etc.). Take the tour, sit down with friends, and enjoy your day. Seriously, Millville needs to be visited for this place alone. I believe the flight is less expensive than mugs. Twenty-four ounces for six dollars compared to $5 for a glass. Even if it is 16 ounces, the flight is the deal. read more
