The problem is that I never received a single statement. When I called to inquire, I learned they had the wrong mailing address on file. Despite having my correct phone number and email address, they never attempted to contact me through either method before threatening collections. What was even more frustrating was being told that the collections review process did not care that they had the wrong address. Shortly after the call, they sent an email attachment that I could not open, which was not helpful at all. There are plenty of ENT practices in the area. I met Dr. Kwon in the foyer of my condo complex and found out that we had the same last names and that he was a general practitioner. Looking for a doctor, I quickly made an appointment and jetted off to Silver Spring. Dr. Kwon's office was clean and quaint - lots of little old Korean ladies who hadn't quite caught on to the English craze here in America - but hey, it's a niche market and you have to cater to the customer if you're going to survive. Very friendly, gets back to you quickly, and doesn't talk down to you when you ask a question. I have kept him on (even though I've been using the VA medical center lately too) as my doc and will continue to go to him in the future.

They are massively incompetent and were so unreliable that they didn't send in multiple prescriptions that they prescribed. The doctors were unable to be reached by there staff every time I have called. Each time I called I was told I would get a call back from the doctor but still have never heard back. The Staff is both unprofessional and inept. They lack empathy and are combative with almost every patient I have seen walk into their office. When you call in, it is unclear if they ever actually pass along any medical updates, concerns or refill requests to the doctor.

The results came back pretty clean so I thought there was no cause for concern. 3 weeks later, my symptoms worsened so I called him on a Saturday to ask if there was any medicine I could take or if he could possibly prescribe me antibiotics to help me with an infection. He was very curt, blunt and rude over the phone telling me that I wasn't listening to him and if I wanted his opinion to just take it. He told me to go to urgent care so they could tell me what was wrong. Oh not to mention that he made sarcastic/snide remarks about asking me if I had multiple sexual partners without any sensitivity toward my situation. He was more interested in sounding sarcastic and lackadaisical than concerned. I wonder if he treats all his patients and even his own kids this way. If a Primary Care Physician can't even prescribe antibiotics, ever tell me what's wrong with my body and will lack any and all empathy when addressing me health concerns, what good is he? Seems like Dr. Gupta would be better suited to just being a guidance counselor since all he's interested in is discussing what he did over the weekend instead of offering any helpful medical advice or solutions. Not sure if he's past his prime, but these days, Dr. Gupta, you need some empathy and patience when speaking with folks. It's called being kind. If you're going to be rude because I "need to listen what I'm telling you to do and just take my opinion you called me for" when I'm clearly concerned and in pain, then you clearly have other issues. Never going back to this "doctor". Read the other poor reviews he has. It checks out. Seems like it's time for him to check out and hit the retirement stride.

Absolutely Do Not Recommend - Disorganized, Unprofessional, and Disrespectful…read more I cannot overstate how disappointing and frustrating my experience has been with Dr. Sekhsaria and Family ENT. From start to finish, this practice has shown a complete lack of respect for my time, money, and trust. I first saw Dr. Sekhsaria on March 18, 2024, for a rhinitis issue. Because I was still within the one-year healing window from an unrelated rhinoplasty, I was told I'd need to wait until July 2024 for surgery to address the rhinitus. I was assured the office would begin working with my insurance for preapproval and would contact me to schedule. At that March appointment--which lasted less than 10 minutes--my nose was scoped without any numbing spray or lubricant. Three months later, I received a bill for $238.86 for this brief and unpleasant visit. When I contacted the office in June 2024 about both the charge and surgery scheduling, I was told nothing could be done about the bill and that someone would be in touch. No one contacted me until January 24, 2025. I responded promptly on January 27 and followed up again on January 29 when I got no reply. Silence. Not until May 23--nearly four months later--did I finally hear back. The excuse? My emails went to their "junk folder." That folder typically auto-deletes every 30 days, so this explanation seemed dishonest--but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. We finally scheduled surgery for June 6, 2025, and I sent my updated insurance information. Then, on June 2, I received a call saying I had to come in that week to complete an insurance-mandated appointment. So I rearranged my schedule (and work) and made an appointment at 1:00 p.m. on June 4. I arrived early at 12:50 p.m. and waited... until 1:30 p.m., when Dr. Sekhsaria finally walked in--clearly returning from lunch, holding a paper bag and a Coke. Over 30 minutes late. That is not just disorganized; it's disrespectful and unprofessional. Again, my nose was scoped without any anesthetic or lubricant. I was told insurance still hadn't approved the surgery, but that I'd be contacted the next day (Thursday) with an update. Thursday came and went. All I received was an automated reminder for the surgery. I called and was told they'd update me on Friday morning--the day of the surgery. Friday morning, I missed a call and received a vague voicemail at 9:38 a.m. from someone named Carla. I called back at 9:46 and asked for Carla, I was told she was unavailable and no update was ready. I called again at 11:48 and was placed on hold for ten minutes. That was the last straw. I hung up and called back to cancel everything. After canceling, I received repeated calls from Family ENT at 12:04 p.m., 12:24 p.m., and 1:55 p.m.--suddenly very eager, once I had cancelled. For context: I am a practicing attorney. I understand what it takes to run a professional office, and this is not it. The red flags were abundant--poor communication, sloppy administration, lack of follow-through, billing issues, unprofessionalism from the physician himself. And I fully expect another several-hundred-dollar bill for the five-minute insurance "approval" appointment on June 4. Save yourself the frustration. Dr. Sekhsaria and Family ENT have absolutely no regard for your time, your money, or your trust.

Who wants to see a bill on a holiday. That's very inappropriate!!! Today at 2:30pm on December 30th, I went to pay the bill in cash. The sign said re-opening on December 30th. There was not a soul at the whole place. I yelled "HELLO" several times. That was STUPID to leave the place unlocked. How inconvenient to drive all the way to the office and not being able to pay the bill. I refused to pay online. I'm going to have to wait until next week to pay the bill since it's a holiday week. Obviously he is very good and has many years of experience. He did an Ultrasound and two biopsies to decide for the best procedure. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything with patience the entire time. It is hard to understand all these medical terms but he had patience and made me feel as comfortable as I could feel. The first biopsy was pretty painless and over fast. The second one needed more specimen for a special DNA test and was a bit more uncomfortable but still totally fine. After results came back 60% probability for cancer he suggested to get only half of the thyroid removed. He also gave me the option to remove the whole thing because a lot of people choose that for peace of mind. I chose to remove half. My procedure was done at the Massachusetts Ave Surgery Center On surgery day he came to talk to me before the procedure. Explaining what's going to happen. He is so calm and professional it makes you feel better. Surgery went great. I woke up sore to swallow but ok. The first 3 days of recovery were sore and than pretty good after that. So I'd recommend to take 3-4 days off of work. The incision is healing up nice after a week and a half. It looks like the incision is going to be pretty nice and clean. I got stitches from this inside so no stitches scars to come. Yay Thank you Dr.Goicochea for taking care of me. I will recommend him to anyone that has to deal with Thyroid issues

After results came back, we scheduled surgery within 2 weeks and I was TERRIFIED however many of the nurses at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital let me know they have never seen incisions as clean and virtually unnoticeable as his. The surgery went very well, lasted about 3 hours (I was slightly a special case) I barely had a sore throat and resumed normal life the day after. His bedside manner is awesome and he definitely put me at ease as this was my first surgery. He has also worked on close family friends of mine and they all say the same of Dr. Goicochea! Highly trained, knowledgeable and professional.
