We've been part of Foothill Country Day School for 10 years, starting from preschool, and now our…read moreson is entering 8th grade. What stands out to us is that this school truly focuses on the whole child. Yes, the academics are good, but more importantly, our son has learned how to think independently, treat others with kindness, and carry himself with confidence and respect. Over the years, we've watched him grow into a confident, kind, and grounded young person - something we value even more than academic success. As parents, we've also grown alongside our child. The school supports families with open communication and by bringing in experts to talk about real-life topics like mental health, screen time and gaming, and what the future might look like for our kids - all of which have been incredibly helpful for us as parents. After 10 years here, this has been more than just a school experience - it's shaped our family in the best way.

The "Chef" is the last person I'd be calling a Chef. She has no sense of respect and appreciation…read morefor anyone. She makes you feel less than welcome. She doesn't train, she hovers and yells and spirals out of control when someone tries to do it their own way. Everything has to be done her specific way. You don't even get to cook, you just prep, clean up HER mess and do HER dishes with. No appreciation. People come and go from that kitchen yet she still remains. The "Chef" will shun your child if you're an "add on" lunch "don't your parents give you money for lunch? We can't keep feeding you, some of this lunch is for the kids that pay for it" There was a rat problem in the kitchen and she wouldn't do anything about it. Just laugh it off and never tell her boss about it and demanded food still be made in the kitchen. HR DOESN'T DO anything about her. They tell you to toughen up and just do it her way because it's her kitchen. They tell you to talk it out with her but the "chef" doesn't want to talk, only dictate. She's clearly the problem and only likes who she likes.

I also love how they teach my children things I never thought to teach them about -- my kids have learned so much it astounds me...it never gets old & I'm so impressed by what this Academy has done for all their students. It truly shows they put so much effort into making children's experiences and memories so special. There are so many fun learning activities that the students can participate in! Brings me to tears when I see my kids at their Winter Recitals or Graduation ceremonies, and even at parent conferences, because they've come such a long way. Everything I do is for them, and this is so worth it. A BIG THANK YOU!! to Mrs. O, who has been there for my babies and I from Day One! P.S. My Latino Babies can speak Spanish and Mandarin, and they have conversations in different languages with others when we're out and about, thanks to this wonderful Academy.

We are new to California. I was looking for a Christian private school for my 2 boys…read more I spoke to a lady at this school today. She asked of what Christian faith we were.. I told her we were just Christian.. she said what kind of Christian.. I said.. well, I was raised Mormon (because I'm honest) I didn't say this part.. Finding myself and my truth was the hardest thing I've ever done. Breaking away from the Mormon church in Utah.. was no easy task. However I did it for me and my kids and I'm proud of the choices I've made. I don't care for organized religion. So.. I told her we were christian. Because we believe in Christ. I'm open to it all. Catholics, Protestant, Mormons, Even atheist. Because I don't judge. I just love. She then said.. We don't accept Mormons. I said... I just told you we aren't Mormon. (Haven't been for 10 years) She said. Oh right. You said that. She proceeded to say that people new to the area need to establish a church and wait 3 months. Then get a pastor reference. I get it. I'm a rule follower. However, am I suppose to put my kids in public for 3 months? Then switch them as they're getting acclimated? Or just not put my kids in school and wait to see if they accept us. Already judging us? That's not very Christ like. I don't care to be apart of a school or church that's judge mental. That's one reason I left the Mormon religion. The lack of knowledge and lack of understanding was a humbling conversation for me. After her saying all that. I said, You know what? I don't think this school is right for us. Thank you for your time. Thank you Ontario Christian, for showing me what I want no part of.

Our little one just graduated pre-K last Friday it was such a bittersweet moment leaving CPCC after…read moretwo years, and we'd all miss the wonderful teachers and staff who made him who he is today. When he first started he did have to adjust -- I'm assuming it's because of how big the class is in comparison to his previous daycare. But it didn't take long for him to blossom, all thanks to Ms. Tonja & Ms. Lorraine's class! Then he moved to Mrs. Jennifer & Mrs. Cassie's class the following year, and he absolutely loved it. When we had to travel during my husband's paternity leave to visit my parents in Asia, he kept asking when we'd go back because he'd missed his friends and teachers. We clearly see the genuine love that's poured towards the kids not only from the teachers, but also the staffs. Not only they remember each of the kids' names, they also give hugs (and stickers, ha) on the daily basis. The principal is also very involved, which we appreciated. Would highly recommend anyone to put their kids at CPCC-- it's worth the wait and every penny. Can't wait for the baby brother to join in a couple of years!

We had our oldest son at CrossPoint Children's Center for about four months. The staff were all…read morereally nice. It was very obvious that both of the directors really loved children and were passionate about what they do, as they should be. My son's preschool teachers were also super sweet and kind. The facility itself is very clean and very child friendly. They have safety measures put in place to ensure that the children are well cared for and protected. I always felt that my son was in good hands when he was there. The curriculum is advanced and really good to help children learn and progress in their Preschool skills. They do chapel every week, it was so adorable to see all the little children in their matching T-shirts walk together. We ended up taking our son out of the program because it wasn't a good fit for him. I don't believe that it was any fault of the teachers, just rather the class size being a little bit too big for him at the time. The ratio for the three-year-olds was 11 kids to one teacher, with his class size being comprised of 22 students and two teachers. Once we moved to a smaller class size, our son did so much better. For the price of tuition (only slightly less than the mortgage on our home), I do feel that the class size is a little bit big, there are many other programs out there that are a lot less expensive and class sizes are significantly smaller. The public school system is now offering free preschool education and transitional kindergarten to all eligible 3 and 4 year old children in Chino and Ontario. Overall, it's a great program and for many kids and parents, it will be a wonderful experience.

Sorry for the long post but hopefully this helps other parents who are considering this school…read more Enrolled my son for summer camp at HEIGHTS CHRISTIAN in Chino Hills based on amazing reviews I read. He's 5 years old and going into Kinder. First day we went for drop off I noticed how disorganized everyone in the office was but thought maybe the first day was a little chaotic. My husband returned for pick up in the afternoon and walked into the office to give my sons name. The women at the desk radioed 2 different classrooms where kinder was held and both teachers stated that they did not have any child by that name. The third classroom stated they had him and sent him up. When the child arrived to the office, it was NOT our son. My husband began to get nervous and started looking for him himself before seeing him across the campus alone, fidgeting with his backpack. On the way home my husband open my sons lunchbox to see how much of his food he had eaten. His food was completely untouched including the cookies. Knowing my son, if he was given his lunch then the cookies would have definitely been gone. He asked my son what happened at lunch and my son responded that he didn't know where his lunchbox was. 5 min later my son began crying stating he had an accident in his car seat. My son hasn't had an accident since he was potty trained at 2 years old. When my husband asked what happened, my son stated that he held it all day because he didn't know where the bathroom was. In addition to not knowing where my son was at pick up, my son was not cared for during the 6hrs he was there. At 5 years old I would have expected there to be some level of monitoring at lunch time as well as ensuring the kindergartners knew where to use the restroom. I am so sad that my son had such a horrible experience at such a "prestigious" school. I called the principle who seemed apologetic but gave no answers as to why my son was neglected for 6hrs. I was also told that I would receive a call back regarding a refund of the money I had prepaid for the week but have yet to receive a call back.

Really bad school and does not allowing your kids to advanced. Really disappointed…read more They only cares about money. They trick us to pay for the test and my kid pass the test but they not letting her to go to kindergarten.

I cannot even begin to explain the anxiety I had trying to figure out where I can put my son for preschool. Having just moved to the Inland Empire area, I wasn't very familiar with the school system but living in an area where the schools are 9/10 top in the state, it still "public" schooling. My child would still be one of many at that school, will he even be noticed? Will a teacher ever contact me if they suspect something? With everything I have been hearing and seeing about public schools these days, those were all valid feelings I had. I was searching for months as to which school my son would start in. Then I heard about New Dimensions from a neighbor and decided to attend their open house. OMG! I LOVED ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE FROM THE STAFF TO THE PARENTS WHOSE KIDS ALREADY GO THERE. Their curriculum is really advanced and my child being a student there for 2 years now has grown drastically compared to others his age. I really do think it has a lot to do with this school. The fact that everyone there knows my 5 year old by name is amazing to me. The comfort of the family environment is everything, and the personalized attention he gets...I literally get texts from his teachers of cute pictures of activities he did that day or how he excelled in one particular task. Being an involved parent is extremely important to me and this school makes that sooooooooooo much easier and more pleasant. Any concern I would voice about my son (i.e. he still sucks his thumb) they would literally work on the next day. He came home smiling saying GUESS WHAT MOM I NO LONGER NEED TO SUCK MY THUMB BECAUSE I'M SAFE AT SCHOOL. You can't imagine the joy this brought me. I could go on and on but if you ever have any doubt or want to know anything about this amazing school...please feel free to ask me...yes I love the school that much!
