Do not go with this company, they don't show up when suppose to have you waiting all day, reschedule appointments without asking you and make you wait at home from 8 am to 5 pm. No time they will be there, can't get a hold of anyone in office they don't answer phones. They tell you at corporate someone will call you back and they don't no email or anything or text, but they sure take the money out on time out of your account but don't want to provide the service or good customer service.. I signed a contract for rat removal under my homes subfloor. The contract included removal of pests (of course), exclusion (inspection of home and blocking all entry points so rats couldnt get in again) and replacement of contaminated insulation under the home. I had already lined the latticework at the homes foundation with 1/8" hardware cloth, so that was unnecessary. Total cost was $1300 to be paid upon completion. Please bear in mind that an electrician discovered the infestation because an entire circuit in the house stopped working. That repair was completed and paid for. The Orkin technician arrived within 2 weeks and began inspecting and excluding from the roof down, then went on to wrapping the a/c unit. At that point, he punctured the a/c coil. He contacted the office manager promptly and an a/c company sent a surly, clearly disgusted man to inform us that the coil was aluminum, which meant that it couldnt be repaired; replacement coil would arrive in approximately 11 days and he was doing nothing until he received guaranteed payment for the $3k cost from Orkin, unless I was willing to pay. Then he left. This was in June or July, and the house reached 98* within a few hours. The next day I contacted the Orkin manager, Kyle, around 11 a.m. I explained that due to the intense heat, I would like an update. Kyle called back later to inform me that he was unable to communicate with the a/c manager; thus, he would contact a new company in our area. This technician arrived within several hours and agreed that the options were an 11 day wait for a new coil, or I could purchase a new unit if i could contribute another $2100. My unit was 4 yrs old, but it was a lousy make and had given me nothing but grief so I agreed. Additionally, I would have the new unit installed the following day, Saturday. Kyle and the a/c guy worked out payment, but Kyle called me soon after to inform me that he was not authorized to approve $3,000 so the installation would have to wait until Monday. However, I could agree to pay the a/c company the $1300 i owed Orkin; the local office would pay the remainder and the job could be completed Saturday. I was concerned that my job would thereafter be forgotten, but my family and animals were suffering in a 98* house, so I agreed. The Orkin tech arrived a week or two later to check the traps and continue the exclusion. I didnt see him after that, but since hurricane season was in full swing and it was dangerously hot outside, I decided to wait and see if they would return; and if not, I would call to remind them of our existence after november. During Christmas week, rats were traipsing through our kitchen. When I called Kyle to remind him that our job was never completed and apologizing for spoiling his Christmas week, he was pleasant but said he couldnt remember the incident and would review our file. (!!!!! how many a/c's do they break???). The tech returned the day after Christmas and set more traps. I havent seen a tech since. This is march. No more electric wires have been chewed, but if that happens I will be paying an electrician to repair. Again. So basically, Orkin agreed to treat my pest problem but broke my a/c which contributed further to my unexpected expenses. read more

We have been with Orkin for a year as we had a contract. They never remediated the pest problem. They would miss appointments with no call. We asked that they come in and call ahead of time so we can open the gates....NEVER did they call. They would charge $89 to spray the front yard and send us a bill. When I would call them back and point out that they were supposed to come in and call ahead of time, they would reschedule. Most of the time they did not show up on the follow up appointments and then when we would call they would make an excuse...." I was sick"....."I was going to get you another tech"......"
