Worst company to get any pest control done by. One of the bosses named Don is the biggest liar you'll ever meet. I called them because of noises in the attic and till this day I'm still hearing it. These guys come acting like they are the most professional company ever and know what they are talking about. TRUST ME, once they get your money, they don't care about you. Super inconsistent. Dec 2024 - Spoke to Josh Rankert sales rep. He came and took pictures of my attic. Never physically went inside of the attic. He literally just poked his head in and took pictures. He said nothing was getting in thru the attic because it was all sealed up there. Vents had protectors on them and so did the chimney. So the only logical reason is they are coming in thru the bottom. Feb 2025 - gave them the job end of Feb and paid $2600 in full (didn't finance) for their "Orkin Shield" and came with a 1 year warranty. They set up traps to catch pest and said they would come check the traps in about a week. Mar 2025 - it's been a full month and nobody has come to check the traps. I had to physically call them to ask them when they were going to come check them. If I never called them, who knows how long they would have taken to come out. They said we are so sorry this never happens, we'll send someone out right now. Yeah okay, I'm sure it never happens. Jun 2025 - They sent out Josh's boss who is Benjamin Smith, he says they can't figure out why's we are still hearing noises on the attic but he assured me they will get it figured out. Ben didn't do anything other than come talk to me. That's it. They came and put more traps out a little later on in the day but that's all. Aug 2025 - still hearing noises in the attic. I called them and they plugged up a small hole they found outside. They thought that maybe whatever was getting in was getting in thru there. Didn't do anything as I was still hearing noises. Oct 29 2025 - I call them again that I'm hearing stuff in the attic. This time Don Whitenight came out (Lmaoooo. Crazy azz last name because he is not a White Knight what so ever.) and he brought somebody out with him to physically go inside the attic and GUESS What, THEY FOUND A BIG HOLE UP THERE. DON SAID HE WILL SEND AN INSPECTOR TO COME CLOSE IT UP!!! Oct 31 2025 - Don sends me an inspector by the name of Brenden. BRENDEN NEVER CAME TO PLUG UP THE HOLE. HE CAME TO UPSELL ME ON MORE SERVICES. I'm sorry guys, you couldn't take care of the first job I gave you and now you want me to give you more of my money for super bad horrible service again? Brenden kept saying, yeah we dropped the ball on this job, sorry for the service you've been given, but again he was trying to sell me more services instead of fixing the 1st issue, I can tell his apology was not genuine. They even reset the traps they left out there since AUG 2025. Nov 20 2025 - Squirrel was caught in one of the traps and called them to come get it taken care of. By the time they got there, the squirrel escaped and they took the traps with them instead of setting them back up again. The guy that came out says we are not signed up for pest control. How is that possible if they have been setting traps up all year long and are just now telling me this. AT THIS POINT I'M SUPER MAD BECAUSE ORKIN HAS PUT ME THRU THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER. I would have to see better reviews before I would go with his company again after almost 9 years. When I had them helping me nine years ago with a simple removal of a wasp nest on the side of my house it took a couple times before we could get it right with them. I would hope that I could give her better reviews in this, but That would take some work on the Manager side to guarantee me that it would be a smoother operation than nine years ago. Sorry, Orkin... If that's the way, it is when you've messed with a customer and you're trying to get them back. Don't know if I'm worth it, but I think all customers are worth some thing as long as they're reasonable. My last experience was not good. I had used YES pest control for years.. but after they sold to Orkin, it went downhill form there.. Orkin did 1/2 the service that we got from the other company and charged more. The technician lied and said he treated my house when I wasn't home, but my cameras showed otherwise.. I demanded a different technician. Brandon was awesome! But, when I found that I had some mice in my garage and spiders outside before it was time for service I called to make an appointment. They scheduled it for Sept 13. I took off of work to ensure I would be home. They never showed up. I called and got on the schedule for this Saturday, because mistakes happen...but I called to verify the appointment.. and it wasn't there.. the receptionist named Donna was very rude, she repeatedly spoke over me, and when I did get to speak, she would again interrupt me. I canceled my contract with them and went with another company..Orkin, there is plenty of competition!! read more

We recently discovered an insect issue in our home. The first place I called (Bob the Bug Guy) was very nice but sounded very doubtful on whether he could help. The second place I called (Rose) you have to leave a message and then they have 24-48 hours to return your call just to then set up a time for them to come out. I then called Orkin who had the nicest, most helpful receptionist who answered my questions, and outlined the plan and cost for a guaranteed solution. They sent a technician over 2 hours later who was very informative and thorough and applied the product with immediate results. Super Livid! Why is it soo difficult for companies to understand that peoples time is VALUABLE! When I schedule appts on my or my Husbands ONLY day off, ask MULTIPLE times on ETA & you confirm (only after sounding annoyed with me asking), state if anything changes I will get a call by the end of the day (yesterday). We expected the agent 10-12pm today, so my Husband gets out of bed, leaves Chicago 6:30am to make it to Michigan & get situated for agents arrival, only for the agent to call me at 8:45am (9:45am Michigan time) to say agent will be arriving 4-6pm, AFTER my Husband already gets to MICHIGAN!!!!! UNPROFESSIONAL, I will NEVER give my money to any company that under values our damn time. OUR TIME IS PRICELESS! LIVID... Same exact thing happened with TruGreen, now Im stuck with the bugs until I find a company that can stick to their word. I used Orkin because I had a raccoon problem in my attic and they were the only ones that would come out and look without charging me for it. They said I had a family of raccoons living up there and that I needed to have all the insulation taken out and have the entire attic re-insulated which they would take care of and they would patch up all the holes that the raccoons were getting into. So after that was done, and $13,000 later, everything was fine. Six months later the raccoons made new holes and are back in my attic, ruining my insulation again, and guess what, Orkin will NOT get back to me at all. I've contacted the branch manager and the service manager twice, haven't heard from either one of them. Did have some response from my service tech in the beginning but now he won't even respond to me. So basically, they just took my $13,000 and ran and I still have the same problem!
