Amazing performance with a group of dedicated individuals! It is good to know that art is still alive and well. This show was one of the most entertaining performances I seen for a long time. Keep it up and chase your dreams.

    First visit to the bar!!

To say this is not quite my cup of tea would be an understatement. I'm more of a sports bar Friday night kind of guy. But I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the performing arts! This being at the new Dr. Phillips Center was also a double bonus big upgrade from the Bob Carr. The battle of the sexes theme was fun to watch. It was essentially a dance battle with a lot of integrated scenes in between, the dancers also had crowd interaction as well. Which was something I didn't expect. As usual I would say the boys def won the battle whoop whoop!! During intermission we were able to re-up on "refreshments" they second portion of the performance was definitely more up beat. You can't lose with Michael Jackson and Queen alternating songs!!! My girl friend especially enjoyed the Queen integration. With we are the champions and we will rock you!! Very fun and upbeat performance!!!! The dancers were amazing looking forward to the next one!

I have lived in Orlando for 11 years and just today (Vampire's Ball) was my first trip to the Orlando Ballet... shame on me. What a fabulous production, this may have been my first trip but it is definitely not my last. Thanks to Yelp's Culture Club, I was introduced to such an amazing company and fabulous Artistic Director, Robert Hill. He went above and beyond what is expected of a ballet performance with Vampire's Ball. I was intrigued from the first moment and couldn't wait till the closing curtain so see each element of this awesome show. The dancers were incredible. The 3 kids who played a small roll literally made my jaw drop with their skills. The costumes, the music, the set... literally everything was awesome, well beyond what I was expecting. I love that Robert Hill stepped out of the ballet "norm" and delivered such a dramatic, funny and entertaining show. Also... They have classes! Classes for all. http://www.orlandoballet.org/school/classes.html I am entertaining the idea of checking out the Intro to Ballet class as I have always wanted to learn. I can't wait to see another production!

It's a short walk from several restaurants and bars so you can park in one of the large parking lots. I loved the sitting area in the lobby. Intimate seating behind large picture windows. There is a concession stand with wine available. As a matter of fact, you can pre-order a drink to pick up at intermission. So cool. I'm looking forward to returning in January for the next play.

This production delivers a level of entertainment that surpasses anything I've seen at Dr. Phillips. The show transports you to a time when confidence felt earned, ambition was fueled by self‑belief, and the dream of success pulsed through every city street. Three cousins reunite unexpectedly in 1970s New York City, each chasing their shot at rhythm‑and‑blues stardom. Having been in NYC during that era myself, the musical stirred memories of a time when music wasn't designed to shock--it was meant to lift the spirit, soothe the soul, and move you from the inside out. This show captures that perfectly. From the moment the curtain rises, the audience is swept into a world that never disappoints. By the end of the evening, you realize you've been entertained more deeply than any amusement park or theater in the region could ever promise. If the spirit of James Brown, Otis Redding, or Jackie Wilson can be felt anywhere today, it's on this stage. Absolutely loved it.

I love how beautiful the stairwell is going up to two. I love how much they have expanded their food and beverage line up over the years. The sound tends to be pretty good, the communication from the theatre is always amazing. They waive fees if you come to the box office to buy your tickets. The seats are comfy and almost every seat has a solid view. The box seats are the exception so be warned. The volunteers are always amazing and they are so nice. It would be cool if they opened a second location that served coffee because that line for espresso beverages is always really long. I love the breadth of show types. There's always something for everyone.

Wednesday, March 18, 2026…read more Front Row, Center Tickets to Ms. Diana Ross' Concert Performance I've been to numerous events at the Dr. Phillips Center but nothing beats having the opportunity to see a legend perform within arms-length to where you're seated. And when that "Icon of Icons" is none other than Ms. Diana Ross...well, nothing else need be said. It was a dream come true to say the least. In my most previous update of the Dr. Phillips Center I indicated meeting with and having my photograph taken with the incredible soprano Sarah Brightman was an entertainment highlight of 2025. 2026 has just begun but I will have to use the superlative "spectacular" once again. As in a spectacular show from start to finish. Diana Ross may be 81 years old!...but she still has the voice and ahem...the moves of a much younger performer. Just think of this, she was performing with the Supremes in the 1960's. I wasn't even born and by the time I was she had 12 number one singles with the OG of girl groups! And she is still working it to this day. Ms. Ross sung a multitude of her hits which kept the crowd, and my sister and I, dancing and singing throughout the evening. However, when she started to belt out Gloria Gaynor's anthem "I Will Survive" that really got the audience out of their seats. An Icon singing and Iconic piece of music is an experience second to none. Ms. Ross, you and your mark on music history is unmatched...blessings to you and your family!

I wouldn't recommend section C - they had those tall metal chairs that look uncomfortable in that section. I honestly wish I'd got section A, but those shows sell out so quickly that it seems harder to snag those. The sound was amazing & the band was really talented. The look/vibe is really great too! The doors don't open till right before showtime, but there's covered tables & chairs to sit & wait. Parking was a bit tight. The doormen were very fast & efficient. Everyone was friendly too! Overall I really like The Abbey & am going back again in a few weeks, Oh - pro tip - there's an absolutely OUTSTANDING sushi restaurant around the corner & they were very accommodating when we said we were in a hurry to get to the show on time.
