I guess the way it works is that if you don't have a dedicated team in each sport before you get married, you adopt your person's team when you do get married (or get serious). Or at least, that's what happened to me in my marriage. My husband is a die hard Magic fan, probably since birth and since Montreal doesn't have a basketball team, I was like (meh) sure *shrug*! It keeps the house in harmony. The things you do for love LOL. But, don't worry, it's all good. I've got hockey covered. Go, Habs, go! After spending some time at Lake Eola Park, my husband took us to the Orlando Magic Team Shop (OMTS) to look around and see if there were some things we liked. - Parking - It was mid-afternoon on a Friday and there was street parking right in front and it was free! - Vibe - Located at the corner inside the Amway Center (and for you non-Magic fans, it's their home arena), if you can't find the fan gear you're looking for, for the Orlando Magic here, I don't know where else you are going to find it! I found the store layout to be a little awkward, more specifically the back section where there is a door that connects to the arena. It was pretty narrow and full of merchandise with a cash register right next to the door. I can't imagine what a bottleneck it must be on game day. - TLC - We were greeted upon arrival and there were at least 3 employees working and they were pretty chill. They stayed behind the counter in the main cash register area for the duration of our visit while patrons were coming and going. - My thoughts - Like I said, whether you are a seasoned fan or you just joined the club, there is a section for every person or thing, furry or not, in your fan club. Men, women, kids, babies and fur babies, you name it, they have it. The selection was quite extensive in each category too. They even swapped out the blue team colors to pink for the little girls. I personally like the blue better though. They had the cutest things for the little babies like full track suit, onesies, branded binkies, sippy cups and Mickey & blanket combo. Lots of Stuff merchandise too and for non-fans, it's the Orlando Magic's mascot, Stuff, the Magic Dragon haha. I always thought that that was so clever. My only thing with the store were the prices! But I guess since I am a fan by marriage, I don't understand the full value of the investment? T-shirts were reasonable, but there were some polo shirts that were priced at over $150 dollars and I wondered if Nikola Vucevic had made it himself. The shirts really weren't anything special. For that price, at the very least, I would expect embroidered logos or something? All in all, it was fun browsing the store and checking out the variety of Magic merchandise available. We can't really find any Magic merchandise in abundance outside of FL, so we make it a point to visit whenever we are in town and pick up another item to sport for the season, now that we live this close. read more

I visit the shop frequently during games and it gets busy. Staff are plentiful and always willing to help. Numerous times they have offered to check the back of the store for more inventory for me. I've had a jersey made same day, which didn't take long and turned out great. Other items I've purchased include hats, shirts, pajamas (which i love), corkcicle mugs and cups, golf balls and a golf bag, blankets, koozies, key chains, pencils, scotch glasses, jackets, socks, and even a baby sippy cup! So they've got a range of items. I've been happy with most items except their corkcicle travel mug- the Orlando Magic logo is starting to wipe off when I hand wash it!! Buyer beware. I get a lot of compliments on my Orlando Magic jacket, which I wear at work. The shop accepts magic money, which you can accumulate by giving your season tickets back if you don't attend a game. They also accept cash and credit. Parking is along the street on church if there's no game. Otherwise, you gotta pay to park and walk from the garage or a nearby lot. They're open Monday though Friday and not busy when there is no game. There is a dressing room if you want to try things on. They get new merchandise often! So check back for new offerings. Sometimes they run specials too. I got a free Stuff bobble head for spending more than $50. This is the largest shop in the arena. Stop by and see what's on sale. Represent our team! read more

They definately have everything any Orlando Magic Fan could possibly want. My problem is when I walk in, I just want to start purchasing everything in the store!! Then again, I'm a HUGE Magic Fan!!! Right now is the BEST possible time to go into the store to get your Magic Gear for the upcoming 2010/2011 Season because they have a HUGE sale going on right now as they are trying to clear out all the merchandise. Reason? As soon as the new Amway Arena opens in the fall, they will be closing the store at the Altimonte Springs Mall and re-opening a new store at the new Arena. For instance, all the Swingman Jersery's are $30 right now! Amazing deal! Both girls working in the store were so helpful and were super excited about The Magic and we had a great conversation about the Players, Team, etc. So for me, the customer service was awesome! Bottom Line, if you're a Magic Fan, this is the time to get your offical gear while this amazing sale is going on before they close it down and open up the new store at the new arena. read more

Ahhh Playoff time! What is better than seeing the Magic dominate on the floor this time of year? An ENTIRE store dedicated to amazing gear!! This year the Playoff HQ is in the Altamonte Mall and it's HUGE! There is everything from T-shirts to bobble heads to onesies for Magic babies! I have been here two times already and have to admit that I am slightly overwhelmed because there is so much I want. They have the entire women's line which is awesome. They are a little low on the Jersey selection but I believe they will be getting more in soon. Good Tip: Season Ticket holders as well as Fairwinds Magic card holders get 10% off. There are some employees who are excited to be working the store and some (who seem to be bored) that are not. It's hit or miss but most of this stuff sells itself! A great shop for the Magic and what you'd expect in general for an NBA team shop, but a couple comments are in order after my second visit. The staff is super-nice, upbeat, and helpful. Like seriously the nicest people. That's a big plus. I would not have been able to find my Elfrid Payton Swingman jersey without a staff member's help because apparently their last Payton jersey was stowed away in the side area where they do on-site custom lettering for some reason. But I asked this dude if they had any Payton jerseys and he searched and searched until he located one. That's awesome. On the downside, the layout of the store is quite odd and considering its used as a game-day entrance for ticket-holders, it gets backed up with people standing there looking at merch. Just a very odd interior layout that they ought to have known would have been an issue. One other complaint, they seem oddly low on jerseys: they have a decent amount of most Swingmans with popular players' names and numbers and some blank ones they can customize for you, but apparently no Authentics in stock and like I said, poor Payton's jersey was sold out it seemed and not restocked. Now, I know the true Authentics--the very same jerseys as players wear for games, not the Swingman replicas (which are still very nice and not cheap) but the Authentic NBA jerseys run about $300. So yeah, they don't sell one every single day. However, the should have them in stock: if you can't get an Authentic here, where CAN you find one? They should have the biggest and best stock of Magic-everything anyone can imagine and seems like they were on 2 January 2015 when I was there for the Nets vs the Magic game running kinda low already. read more

SO disappointed with online ordering. I ordered a jersey online on Nov. 7th, as a Christmas present. One item in my order delivered, but the jersey delivery date was extended to Dec. 9th. On Dec 13th I got an email update with an invalid tracking number. When I called they said it was "lost" and they would reorder with expedited shipping. The new "expedited" shipping date they emailed me is January 19th!! When I called back for a customer service agent they said they put a service ticket into the back office and they will email me. SO FRUSTRATING. Poor communication and customer service agents have little authority to help. read more

This place gets absolutely PACKED during games. So first off, try to do your shopping on an off day. This place definitely has anything you could ever want that's Magic. It's kind of small for the amount of people that frequent this place but what can you do. They must be doing something right with their merchandising strategy because every time I walk in this place I want EVERYTHING! We went to the Amway Center for a hockey game and had to wait outside with 500 other families and children. As the crowd gathered I went to the shop to buy a sweat shirt or jacket. I did not expect it to be cold outside and the hard wind made it worse. The hours of the store were odd given that there were so many other people trying to get in to the store to shop. There were employees inside sweeping the floor and I knocked on the window to see if I could get their attention. I tried to get some one to come over to the door but they ignored me, most likely some company policy? Several other people wanted to go inside to shop, but the doors stayed locked. read more

If you plan on purchasing something at the shop for someone else... MAKE SURE THERE IS NO CHANCE OF IT BEING RETURNED. I bought 2 shirts here on opening day 10/26/16 and one of them, unfortunately, was too small. Seeing that the shop is not very close to me and that they have on their receipt "www.orlandomagicshop.com", I contacted that website to get help with my return. After a 35-minute phone call with them, I was told they could not help me and I would have to go to the store. I then called the store to see if they would let me ship the item back to them for credit (the item still has tags on it and I have the receipt), the person I spoke with on the phone said he would check with his manager, after about 5 minutes on hold, I was told that I would have to go to the store if I wanted my $50 back for the shirt. So, they may have great items here, but their customer service is non-existant. read more
