I came to this location to see Dr. Patel, because his other office did not have an available appointment until April. I'm so glad I came here. The ladies at the front desk were very nice, pleasant, and easy to talk to. The nurse who brought me to a room in the back, was also very nice. She didn't just bring me to the room, then leave, and shut the door behind her. She was cheerful, chatty, and quite informative. Dr Patel came into the room within ten minutes of me being in there. To me, that was impressive because that's a rarity with many doctor's. I appreciated him taking his time, and being thorough with explaining my MRI, the diagnosis, and the next steps that need to be taken before my upcoming neck, and back surgery. He took his time, answered all my, and my husbands questions, drew out what he was going to do (because I am a visual person) set favorable expectations, and made me feel comfortable, and at ease with what he's going to do to alleviate my pain. I am very pleased with everything he has suggested, and had me try over the last few months, prior to preparing me for surgery. I would recommend him to anyone who has pain. read more

Apologies in advance I didn't get names. I have had an elbow problem for months that I've tried to self-treat. I finally went to the Lake Nona location as a walk-in today. I didn't deal with ANYONE from front desk, to what I suppose was either a Medical Asst or Clinical Asst in the patient room, to the X-Ray person, to the person that gave me rehab tips, to Dr. Stearns that wasn't friendly and professional. They didn't give me a hard time for waiting so long. We're self pay and no one gave me a hard time about that, either. No one was hesitant to answer any questions we had. I just got the treatment and need to stop typing, but I wanted to make sure I didn't neglect giving a review. I'm very happy we made the drive over, we're about 40 minutes away. For an orthopedic problem to be diagnosed, treated, advised, etc, all in 2 hours or less, from the moment I walked in with no patient history there...to me, was impressive. Suspicious this place has so many positive reviews on Google but not good on yelp. The staff is rude, scheduling is not easy, and I keep getting passed onto the physician assistant/PA, who seems uninterested and wants to rush me out. More insulting the admin people get upset I don't know my main doctors name... Would help if I ever met him... I gave them an extra star because they do have some good people in the PT area. Went here for an injury as a walk in. The staff all seemed nice, the xray tech was probably the nicest iv ever met. Unfortunately when I left things went down hill. They said they would send over a RX but it took over an hour. When I called them about 40 mins after I left to confirm the pharmacy, the receptionist snapped at me and told me I left just 10 minutes ago and to be patient. I let her know I had not, and it had been quite some time, but she just kept repeating herself. I'm guessing they filed me as leaving far after I was gone, but considering I have a Starbucks order I picked up from 25 mins before they said I left I'd say I have some proof. I shouldn't be yelled at on the phone or belittled by people who I look to for help, and considering electronic prescriptions are suppose to be faster than paper, it shouldn't have taken over an hour just to send it over to my pharmacy. read more

I called to get a price quote, which was $270 for an exam, X-ray and a care plan. the lady I spoke to confirmed the price and then I drove 30 mins to the lake Nona location. Once I arrived they told me it was $540. And even though I explained I called and put all the information in the website and got a price quote of $270 (I also input all the information again right in front of the lady proving that it was the correct quote) they said they would not honor the price.... What a waste of time.... $540 for an exam and possibly an xray (if they thought you needed it) would be way to much... read more

Almost everyone at Orlando orthopedic has been great. I'm giving them a 1 star review because doctor Riggenbach is very unprofessional. I went more than 10 yrs with symptoms so there was a lot of damage that had been done. The more damage the longer the recovery. Also my job is very heavy lifting. I'm a female package car driver for UPS.. I am expected to move 150 pounds unassisted and carry 75 pounds up flights of stairs. 3/1 Riggenbach performed open carpal tunnel release surgery on my dominant hand. I had to wear the bandages for 2 weeks and then come back in for a follow up appointment. I saw his PA. I had a lot of scar tissue.. This is because I went without surgery so long. Next appt was in 3-4 weeks. I came back and saw his PA again. I wasn't making much progress at all. They recommended that I go to PT. The 1st part of PT was to work on the scar tissue and try to get movement back in my wrist. June 19th, I was expecting to see the PA as usual. Riggenbach was actually in the office that day. This is the 1st time that I saw riggenbach since my surgery 3 months earlier. My PT was very busy that morning. Unfortunately she didn't have time to get my report ready so she said she was going to call in and talk to his PA. She waited on hold for more than 30 minutes and No one answered the phone, She had to hang up. When Riggenbach came into the exam room, He asked me how things were going and I told him I still was having pain in my hand thumb and the surgery site. I was trying to tell him that my PT was recommending more PT to try to get some strength my hand. I was very concerned about the repetitive movements at work and heavy lifting. This was the 1st time that he was rude to me. He told me that I wasn't getting any more time to heal. I told him I was having pain and he didn't listen to me.. He hadn't even read the PT report. I said to him you know what I do for work and he said, "Yes, You've told me every time I've seen you." Which I think is interesting because I hadn't seen him since he performed surgery. I tried to get him to listen to me and he pretty much said much said call us if you have any issues and shut the door in my face. He's my doctor and he is overseeing my care but the only person that knows if they are still hurting as me. This is not the 1st time I felt like he did not listen to me. I was very upset when I left the office and almost in tears. They were going to force me back into work with my hand still hurt I was not a workman's comp case I couldn't understand what the problem was. My husband was very upset. Monday morning I contacted the director of of practice operations and I explained what happened.. Miraculously, later that afternoon doctor riggenbach's office called me and said that he was going to give me more time out of work to complete some more PT. 3 wks later when I came back in, He came in and I could tell he must have gotten in trouble he really just said, what do you want more time?? I showed him note him the PT report for the week and he gave me 3 more weeks to work on strengthening. Today was my final PT appointment and I saw riggenbach this afternoon. My physical therapist has released me. I told him I was still having pain... which I am. But there's nothing I can really do about it other than go back to work and hope it's not too painful. He made a smart ass comment while I was in his office. He said, "Longest carpal tunnel surgery recovery ever". Like I'm making up that there's pain or something.. Everybody's recovery is different. My job is not sitting at a desk typing. He needs to keep his arrogant little comments to himself. He's a real jerk. Unfortunately I still have to get my left hand operated on but I don't think I'm going back to his office.. I might choose a different surgeon. Maybe even With Orlando orthopedic but I'm not quite sure yet. It will be inconvenient for me to have to travel to a different office so that I don't have to be his patient anymore. I need a doctor who's going to listen to me instead of being opinionated and rude. read more

Asked me to get up on the table for exam so I did but I wasn't fast enough for him due to spinal issues I was there for!!! He told me he has other patients to see today so hurry up!! I went to this after being recommended to Dr. Bonenburger. I visited him in the Lake Nona location, In a building right next to Nona Blue off the main road in Lake Nona. Ample street parking and a parking lot across from the office. Office was nicely decorated and had good reading materials. I was greeted upon entry, My id and insurance was taken right away and I was given forms to start to fill out, Before I can even finish I was ushered into the exam room by the nurse. Again very polite and inviting. Was took xrays and the doctor was in the office within 5 minutes. He had reviewed the previous scans, mri and xrays taken and at no time did I feel rushed by him. As I had thought I would need hip surgery and he made me completely understand the whole process from start to finish. All my appointments have been scheduled including follow ups and they will also be scheduling my at home physical therapy. The office also takes walk in appointments. Be sure if you need to see an ortho doctor, be sure to se Dr. Bonenburger and his team. read more

Never going back there again. Riggenbach was rude, cocky, and asking intrusive questions about my health because I asked him to put a mask on while he was in the room with me since I'm immunocompromised. He played it off like he needed to know this information so he could decide if I can get steroid shots for my shoulder. I told him I'm aware of how my body overreacts to steroid shots and that's the reason I have been turning them down EVERY appointment they try go give me one. After asking a million questions about my white blood count he begrudgingly put it on with his nose hanging out. It was very loose and kept falling down to expose his mouth. Wearing a mask like this makes about as much sense as putting on your underwear and letting your genitals hang out over the top of them. He was ableist and rude and seemed to be more worried about covering what I assume he thinks was his pretty face than caring about his patient. IF I could give negative 5 stars, I would. Horrible doctor. The office isn't the most organized and has strange policies for who you are allowed to see as well. This appointment was not even necessary as it was to go over MRI results. He did NOT need to see me to tell me what a report said, but the office insisted that I see him, even though a P.A. Katharine Robinson actually ordered the test. No wonder this place only gets 2 1/2 stars. Staff is great, except you are asked to pay before services are rendered. I went he because last ortho Dr didn't note anything n my chart. When I got here I handed them current x-rays and MRIs with the read report. The doctor here never went over any of that with me. The doctor here never even took a look at all of the paperwork that I just filled out when I got here. The doctor here only spent a couple of minutes manipulating my arm. He then said we can give you a Cortizone shot, medicine, and you can do exercises. I said I don't want the Cortizone shot because I heard they don't last very long. That must've pissed him off because from that point on all he wanted to do was put me on medicine and do exercises which I have already done both and nothing has worked. Came to see Dr Riggenbach for shoulder and elbow issue. Waited forever and when someone came to discuss my issue it was the PA. That was fine at the moment, but the PA couldn't answer any of my technical questions and had to keep walking out of the room to ask the doctor. Lord forbid the arrogant doctor takes 5 minutes to actually visit the patient that paid a crap ton of money to see him and thoroughly discuss the issues and treatment options. The visit was unprofessional and uninformative. Scheduling with another ortho and will be sure to verify/check the doctor discusses the issues/options with their patients instead of just sitting in their office collecting money. Don't waste your time with this facility when central Florida has so many other options. read more

Dr McBride performed a spinal fusion on me. Up until this point, he and the office staff had met my expectations. I had a follow up appointment this morning. I arrived at 8:30 for an 8:45 appt. At 9:50, I was STILL WAITING IN A ROOM TO SEE THE DR. Do you know what that says? You are rude, inconsiderate, and disrespectful. Is your time the only one that is valuable? I HIGHLY doubt you would have allowed me to show up an hour late to my spinal fusion. Do us all a favor and have your office start to schedule patients at a reasonable rate, so you don't lose another patient. read more

Dr. Burgess and the staff at the Lake Nona office have gone above and beyond to make every visit as enjoyable as possible. I went in for knee pain in April, and ended up having surgery approximately 2 months ago. Every question and concern that I have are always answered by Dr. Burgess in depth and with assurance that I understand its entirety. I walk out after every visit feeling more confident in my recovery. This Dr. truly cares about his patients, and has a passion for the field of work that he is in. I came in early as a new patient and waited an hour to be called back. The waiting room was so full that people were standing and sitting on each others laps. After being brought back to exam room, I waited another 20 min for an xray. When Dr. Riggenback came in , he seemed stressed out (probably due to office overbooking patients) and only spent 4 minutes with me and made his diagnosis. I was very disappointed that it took a total of 2 hours to sit down with Dr. for only 4 minutes. Afterward, secretary that checked me out rushed me out of the office and told me I would get a follow up call to schedule physical therapy and they would be able to answer the questions I had. I never received that follow up call. I don't usually like to leave reviews online because I know it affects a business. But I'm hoping the management and doctors at this office will read this review and make the necessary changes to prevent any further bad reviews from other clients. I don't think I will be returning to this office anytime soon. read more
