The catering staff we spoke to were very kind and answered all of our questions. Beautiful location, easy parking and your permitted to set up a few hours before the event. The white linens and the tables were set up before we arrived. All tableware and cutlery were included - very clean and well kept. The catering for the brunch was top notch. Plating was beautiful. The mimosa bar was great. Food was attended to and tables were cleared continuously. The drink attendant was sweet and on point even when guests swarmed the station. We were permitted to blue tooth our own playlist and it made the event more personable. A podium and microphone were provided and set up upon arrival. Unfortunately, the person who handled the actual event planning via email/phone was not organized, attentive to our requests and somewhat rude. We had to go back and forth over and over to get everything straight. Things were added and taken away that were not requested. I understand maybe she was trying to upsell but it was an unexpected hassle. Without explanation, she advised she did not even look at our initial request form?? which laid everything out clearly. We only ordered 3 things. She informed us that she had multiple events over multiple locations - seemingly the reason ours was problematic. She repeatedly referred to our event as a bridal shower (which also ended up on our confirmation form that had to be fixed). Poor thing, it seemed like the job was too much for her to keep up with. Glad it was not a wedding I was planning. On the day of the event, during our scheduled time to decorate, an event person? (female) walked a group thru our room and was speaking VERY LOUD - LOUD - LOUD to talk over the music (Dubsdread was playing before we blue toothed our playlist) and to talk over everyone who was involved in the set up process. It was rude. Our event organizer was giving instructions and this person was talking over everyone in a stern voice without apology like our presence was annoying her? We had to schedule our initial walk thru, etc. so I don't understand why she would do that during our event OR schedule an overlap during that time. It was NOT professional NOR kind. Overall experience - great! loved it. The historical beauty of the place, the wonderful catering people and food made up for the (2) people so I would recommend this venue but use the info I provided to make your experience better than mine. :)

We booked them about a year in advance after finding them on The Pinery's preferred vendor list, and from the very beginning we knew we were in great hands. They offer a variety of packages that can work for any type of wedding, which was really helpful as we planned our intimate celebration. Our wedding was a small, family-only event with about 20 guests, but it still included a full timeline -- first look, private vows, ceremony, cocktail hour, first dance, dinner, and some reception time. We chose their Happily Ever After package, which at the time was one of their highest tiers, and we also upgraded to add reception table clean up, dancing on a cloud, and DJ/entertainment. While we could have sourced those vendors separately, we were already so happy with Melissa and Doris that having them coordinate those details for us made the process incredibly easy, and the pricing was very reasonable. Throughout the entire planning process they were always available for questions. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and would sometimes text them late at night or on weekends with questions or concerns, and they always responded kindly and quickly without ever making me feel like I was bothering them. That level of support meant so much during the planning process. On the day of our wedding, they truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. They were attentive not only to us, but also to our family and guests. There were so many thoughtful touches that meant the world to us -- helping me with my dress as I walked down the aisle, bringing my husband and I drinks and appetizers throughout the day so we stayed hydrated and didn't miss out on enjoying the food while taking photos, entertaining our family with a fun limbo dance, and even taking pictures of all the little details. Our day felt absolutely perfect, and if anything did go wrong behind the scenes, we never knew about it because they handled everything so seamlessly. Their organization, professionalism, and genuine care made such a difference, and their pricing is more than fair for the level of service they provide. What an amazing venue!…read more Went here to celebrate my cousins wedding on 11/7 & while I was originally confused as to who has their wedding as early as he did, it all made sense when we arrived. The way the sunrise shines on lake Bryan is breathtaking. The dewy palm trees, friendly staff, gorgeous decor, the sand and beach seats while we waiting to be seated in the ceremony area- everything was chefs kiss! My daughter even said "mommy when you get married it's gotta be here" lol I was thankful to see the ceremony area has a soft turf so that heels going into the sand weren't an issue at all. The only thing I'd say negative is that thankfully we were the first wedding guests and could sit in the beach chairs in the sand facing the lake while we waiting for the Turf area to open - the guests that arrived after us had nowhere to sit & wait.
