Popped in here after getting our hair done at the beauty college. My mom and I were ooooing and ahhhhing over so many beautiful items in the store. There's a whole section of sparkling gowns I wish I could fit into. The plus size selection was minimal but I did find an Eloqui long cardigan which fits perfect. They have some designer items under lock and key and I purchased beautiful clip on earrings as well. Items appear to be on sale but not as marked so make sure you ask about the price. This is one of my favorite consignment shops in Fresno. It's fun to shop here, because your money goes so much further. They have everything, jewelry, shoes, hats, purses, much of the store is filled with gently used designer brands. They have several dressing rooms too so you can make sure it looks great before you make a purchase. read more

Fantastic! I found a gorgeous dress to fit, and I'm 6 feet tall, extremely difficult to fit. I also found a large rimmed hat to match as my event was to be outside in the sun. The owner was lively, greeted me and offered her assistants if I needed help. But as I browsed, first time in the store, there only employee followed me around the store. I stopped in to inquire about consigning some work clothes. I had gone to the consignment shop down on Van Ness first, but suits and professional wear don't seem to be very popular there. At Orphan Annie's, the clothes are more upscale. Casual clothes, clothes for the office and party wear. The owner was very nice and explained how consignment works at her store. At this time, though, they are not taking any items. Currently they have a 50% off sale, so if you are in to second hand women's clothing, check them out. The used clothes are in great condition. Some prices are on the high side unless they are discounted. The owner can be rather rude.

The owner was very rude and unprofessional to me over the phone when I was trying to talk about her services and bring some really nice outfits in. She kept talking over me and misunderstood every word I tried to say to her, and she hung up on me!! I would not recommend this business at all. I had several business suits, party dresses, some with the tags still on them and her rudeness and foreign accent made it impossible to even speak to her on a professional level. I ended up taking all of the nice clean outfits to Hinds Hospice and got a nice big tax right off for them. They were very nice at Hinds. read more

The shop is kept clean and orderly and the clothes change often. The owner is extremely helpful and serves her customers. She knows fashion, styles and trends. I have known her for twenty years. She always remembers me when I come in even if it's been a long while. She does beautiful and timely seamstress work. She recently fixed my dress that was for my son's wedding. This is as good as it gets for a clothing consignment shop. Beautiful clothes, excellent customer service, alterations can often be done on the spot as needed. Brands that can be found include: Anne Taylor Loft Cache Banana Republic INC and many more... Also great selection of clutches, jewelry, purses, and shoes. This is a nice consignment shop. I was pleasantly surprised. It's well organized, by color and sizes; tops, bottoms and dresses. From XSP to women sizes. Its a nice size shop. ZERO STARS I would give negative stars if I could. The owner of this place is extremely rude. I was quietly shopping with my service dog by my side. My dog is extremely well trained and lady walks up to me doesn't say anything but but this in a rude harsh tone "is your dog going to be peeing all over my floors?!" I said she is a service dog. To me that's an obvious answer to say no she is not. She snaps back, "that doesn't matter, is she going to pee all over my floors?!" I said no in astonishment and she snapped at me again "that's all that matters" and took off. Nothing else, no hi, can I help you, nothing but rudeness. Then to top it off my husband had gotten food next door and was trying to be polite by not bringing his food inside and was waiting outside for me and she goes out and snaps at him saying "there are tables over there, not here, you need to leave" I will NEVER shop here and I'll be sure to tell my friends about how rude the owner is. read more

Not sure where they get their consignments from as I have called a dozen times and told eleven times that they are not accepting any clothing for the next two months. It is December and will be cold until March but they are not taking any more winter clothing? Also the only time they have taken my clothing they did not give a good faith estimate and told me that they would give e store credit unless I insisted on a check. The owner was irritated when I requested a check!. Also, you do not know what sells at the end because they don't give receipts of sale. You are merely informed that some items sold and the rest were given to a charity. The owner was rude and treated me as if she were doing me a favor to accept my name brand suits, sweaters and evening wear. Not sure how they say in business. I am a browser and consistent buyer at Orphan Annie. The store is clean, well- organized and the staff more than willing to help with finding items in the right sizes and putting together outfits to fit any occasion. I have also had alterations done and they are absolutely magic with a needle and thread--I had an expensive and lovely crocheted over tunic that was torn--I was ready to throw it out, but thought I'd give my favorite consignment friend a shot at it. You'd NEVER know that it had been torn! Her alterations were like magic! And as far as she and her staff not being helpful--one evening, my sister who was visiting from Washington State, and we hit that strip Mall at Cedar and Herndon kind of late in the day. Not realizing what time it was, my sister and I kept putting on clothes, modeling them for each other etc. with the owner chiming in every now and again. We finished and took our purchases to the counter, only to find out that the store had actually closed an hour beforehand--and we had been left as the only customers, getting very special care--and honesty about how certain clothes looked--something that you don't often find in a clothing store--where everything looks great, wonderful, fits like it was made for you etc.! Would I encourage my friends to go to Orphan Annies?--you bet I HAVE--and they were as impressed as I was. I took 20-30 items into this business for consignment. The woman working there (I believe she was the owner) was so unbelievably rude and disrespectful to me. When I told her she did not have to be so rude to me, she threw my clothes at me and told me to go to another consignment store. I left there absolutely disgusted by the way I was treated. I have never experienced someone in a service organization who was so outrageous. I will never, ever return to this establishment. I will also go out of my way to provide it with the most negative advertising possible. DO NOT GIVE THIS WOMAN YOUR BUSINESS!!!! read more
