It's really for small doggies, 'cause it's not really big enough for big dogs to run. But for the little critters, it's perfect. It's located on Dogwood, how cute is that. The developers did good. There's a black wrought iron fence that surrounds a small grassy space, two benches inside for people to sit on, a big beautiful tree, and you can let your little dogs run free. Joey and his little buddy ran around and around, and inspected every inch of the property, while Les and I sat and gabbed. It was very quiet, with nobody else around. On weekends, this place is probably hopping. What a nice find. P.S. The map that pulls up isn't right. If you go east on Town Garden Rd up into Bressi Ranch, you turn right on Alverton and left on Dogwood and the park will be on your right.

Update. I stopped…read moregoing to this dog park due to all of the ticks there. There is wooded area but I go hiking with my pup regularly and this was one of the worst tick spots. After an hour or so of being there, I pulled off about 15 ticks from him.

SPACIOUS AND GRASSY (5 stats)…read more It's so hard to find a good dog park in San Diego that has ample space, separation of big and small dog park, and grassy. It's in the heart of Poway at their civic center that has everything for the community. Lots of community and family public usages for their community-residence and very clean. We had a Pomeranian meetup here and imagine a ton of tiny Poms roaming safely and freely in a very spacious dog for smaller dogs. Occasionally some people brought their small to medium dog that had big dog energy in the area but all owners were respectful and watched their dog's actions. I didn't see a singly poop in the park and it was one of the cleanest dog parks I've been to. Too bad it's a far drive or we would be regulars. This was the first time I seen my new Pomeranian open up and play. She didn't want to leave and kept playing and playing after over an hour being there. I do wish there were some signs. The civic center area is big and we had walked around just to find the dog park section is in the back behind the baseball fields. Eve though it was a little distance walk, we felt very safe during the day. I'd be cautious towards the early morning or evenings as this is east/inland and I can foresee coyotes being near

There are signs at the beginning of the trail and garbage cans. Please remember to pick up the dog poop. Also the trail is not fenced off so you have to be careful about your dog running onto the street.

It was larger than I expected and made the mistake of trying to bring a wagon. Turns out it's quite a walk to the water through sand, so recommend hand-carrying your beach stuff. I particularly like the main beach as well as a little channel area. My dog loved running in the waves and wading in the calm waters in the channel. Some things that would be nice is free parking all around the beach, as well as removing the leash restrictions during certain times. Other than that it's a fun beach day for both humans and dogs alike!

There is plenty of parking - we've come at all times of the day and have never had an issue. You climb up a small hill and at the top you reach a large open grassy field. The trees are surrounding the border so you get a little bit of shade on the edges depending on the time of day. Also around the borders there are concrete benches to sit at, but we usually bring our own chairs. Our dog loves the open space here! So much room to run after her frisbee or chase other dogs. She definitely had good interactions with the dogs here, most seem very well socialized and the owners we've met have been friendly. Some things to keep in mind: - There are no poop bags, so you should bring your own. For a place that doesn't have them available, most of the owners here appear very responsible and have their own to clean up after their own pet. I've seen other parks with bags on site and the owners still don't pick up after their dog. - there are no water stations/fountains. However there are bowls around so you can bring water to fill them. - there are no fences. So once you climb up the hill, you're in an open park that has a natural barrier of shrubbery but I think there could be potential for dogs to wander away or out of it. We feel comfortable with our pup because her recall is pretty good. - lastly, no bathrooms!

It's a small, charming dog park located on the corner of the car lot, and it has everything you'd need for a quick break with your dog. There's a water fountain, a little fire hydrant, a photo-op area, and soft turf for the dogs to run around. I'm not sure if it's open to the general public or just for BMW customers, but it's a great addition that serves its purpose well. Perfect for pet owners waiting on their car!
