Super clean and organized store but much too expensive for my taste. most shirts were around $10. coats around $22. the shoes I saw were at least $12. for someone used to village discount prices I only stayed in the store maybe 20 mins cause I knew I wouldn't find anything I'd value at the price. Fairly priced items in my opinion were the bras and tights, $3 and $2. dvds and cds $1 and $0.50. and some of the jewelry didn't seem too bad. read more

This was an experience from a few months ago that I keep replaying in my mind, so feel the need to share with others. An extra star was added for selection, generally. A family member of mine had a misunderstanding or miscommunication about a hold/return policy on a item that hadn't left the store. He is one of the most giving, caring people I have ever known, and the item was something he had seen that he thought would help with my job, which is outdoors all year, sometimes for long periods of time. He had talked to the manager the day before about how to keep it there for me to try, and had paid for it, but kept it at the shop, because he had thought that the manager had said it could not be returned if it left the shop. The next day, it didn't end up fitting when I came in to try it, and when my family member asked to return it, was told no returns would be accepted, even if the item was left in the shop. My family member was confused, never angry, and asked if the person he had chatted with the day before was in, just to clear the confusion. The manager came around the corner YELLING at my family member. Just YELLING. In front of me, and other customers, and this man who is so giving and kind-hearted, who just wanted to do something nice for me. He didn't yell back. He was just verbally blasted by this manager for no reason in front of everyone. If the manager had calmly explained where a miscommunication may have happened, my family member would've understood, even if he was confused. I've never seen him treat sales staff with anything but respect and kindness. It broke my heart to watch as he was treated with such disrespect. I was too shocked to react at the time. He ended up gifting the item to another person in line who liked it and could fit it better. Another person who just watched him be yelled at. It's a testament to the kind of person he is. It was humiliating and horrible, what the manager did. Truly shameful. read more

Good location lots of fun items not a big store 2 stories men and children primarily upstairs along with coats they run good weekly sales the Donated goods seem to be in nice shape they play god-awful music And the workers are interesting borderline crabby except for the one young man he seems to really be dedicated to the cause the hours are good read more

ORT is a fantastic NFP resale shop. Great variety of current fashions at great prices. Also good prices on household items, books, linens, framed art, etc. Unlike some other resale shops, I never find torn or dirty items on the racks. Very nice and courteous staff, who are on a first-name basis with many customers. The manager is very good at pricing - not too high, but not giving it away. This results in high inventory turnover, so you can go there every week and find fresh items. They have 50% off sales for a different category almost every week, and they have whole-store sales and refresh the entire inventory twice a year. read more

Well run/organized thrift shop full of amazing bargains. Don't miss the end-of-season sales, too.

The good: I found a Columbia jacket for my toddler for $6. The bad: The red-headed manager yelled at my 18-month-old boy for shutting the doors behind him after we went into their book room. She heard the doors shut, came in from another room and yelled "Bad, bad boy" at my son. At no time did she say a word to me or even look around to see where his parents were. Then she got into it with another customer. Later, I stopped at Hadassah House and mentioned my experience at ORT. The clerk there said they hear that a lot. read more

I love supporting ORT, but the store needs to get with the times. Tired, small store with indifferent help and limited hours of operation is no match for the huge Goodwill that opened on Pfingsten and Dundee. read more

A gem of a store! Its amazing what you can find here, for so little money. The problem this store had was the red headed manager was so rude to everybody, it put me off going. Thankfully I hear that she is no longer employed there, it makes for a much more enjoyable place to shop. I will now be returning much more often and will now bring my donations here rather than hadassah. On my last visit I was able to buy 20 books and a Ralf Lauren shirt all for under $10! Just dropped off tons of stuff today. What I like about ORT is that they take donations everyday during business hours unlike others who may not take in certain days. Nothing fancy about this resale shop but I always look at the houseware section. I bought a Waterford piece for $1. Great prices overall. read more

The best resale shop in the area! GREAT prices, often very good clothing selection, and AMAZING shoe finds! Have found Italian and other great shoe brands for $5 - found a pair of Stuart Weitzman shoes there for $5! Last time there, got a J. Crew linen skirt for $5, along with a yellow cotton tank from Eddie Bauer ($3). Leather skirt - $5, too! You do have to be 'lucky' and sift through a bit, but the store's not so huge, so not a problem. read more
