Clean and well maintained. It's pet friendly too . The field is green and lush. Many sports activities during the week/weekend. Went on a Monday holiday surprisingly it was not busy.

What a gorgeous park this was. We cam here few weeks ago for a birthday party. The pergola is fantastic place to host a party since it's shaded and has do much space to bring your own tables and chairs and set up the party . Plenty of other areas throughout the park with community tables to set up parties. Few playgrounds notes, a wall climbing structure and a very cool splash pad for those hot days :) so much green space. Absolutely loved it and would love to visit again when visiting this side :)

This park is so beautiful and big. I love the gazebo thing in the middle of the park because during the day it feels peaceful under it and I was able to get some light stretching/workout in. Definitely want to come here during the summer for a little picnic!

Brought my daughter here today, and can honestly say this is one of the nicer parks I've been to in the South Bay. It's not extremely large, but it's not small either. It's very well maintained and feels very safe which is very important when you have kids. While there are plenty of parks in San Jose, there was something about this one that made the drive here worth it. A perfect place for families to spend an afternoon together and for the kids to have a blast. One of the best parks around.

Enjoy coming to this park for my daily work out. It is close to my house, safe to walk dog, jogging, running, and play outdoor activities.

Rando yelled at me (Asian female) w/fake-sounding Asian words and threatened to report me to the police if he saw me here again. POCs beware

Love this park, been coming here for a while. Today, I had a terrible experience. It sickens me that we still racist bigots like this in 2024. I (small Asian female, was alone with my dog at the time) was approached by this older White man around noon, and he started yelling at me in a fake-sounding Asian language and he threatened to report me to the police if he ever saw me at this park again. He pulled his phone out and everything as if to signal that he was calling the police. Then he started following me and harassing me, so I started yelling back. When he realized there was another guy (also POC as he was brown) with a dog on the other side of the fence, he became quiet and had his head down. I kept walking away from him, but I found this guy walking nearby three times. I eventually moved to where there were a lot of people. POC's beware, especially if you are alone without a witness. I think this guy has anger issues and is looking to take it out on what he thinks is an easy target.

I attended a birthday party at Ortega Park this weekend. The hosts were able to reserve the picnic area which included a BBQ pit, prep area w/sink, and tables w/benches. Ortega Park was nestled deep in a residential area in Sunnyvale. Most of the park and facilities looked brand-spanking new. There were plenty of wide-open grassy areas, great playground structures, and a fun water play area. The only thing that looked like it needed an upgrade were the restrooms. Ortega Park is definitely a winner.

I wanted to like Muwékma Park in Sunnyvale, but I wouldn't recommend it--especially for families…read morewith younger kids or those needing extra safety considerations. While it has some inclusive features, many structures don't feel designed with littles or kids with disabilities in mind. There are open stairs and gaps with no barriers, which made it stressful as my son kept running toward unsafe areas. We liked the climbing section with the big slide, but access wasn't very accessible and things got chaotic with kids not taking turns. The open field is nice for activities like kite flying, but again, no barriers meant constant redirection. Also worth noting: the dog park is right next to the baby swings and restrooms, and parking is very limited and easy to miss. Overall, some nice features, but the lack of safety made it more stressful than enjoyable for us.

This park is convenient to where I live. There are separate off leash areas for small and large…read moredogs. That area isn't pleasant in the afternoon because there is pretty much no shade. It is decent in rain, as it is gravel, but grass. The dog park area is about a 3 star area. The rest of the park is better. It has a very large green field in the center, ringed with a walking trail, picnic areas, and play areas. There is water and bathroom facilities. The parking area is a bit in the small side. If you play Ingress, there are a number of portals here.

Amazing hidden gem. SV maintains the park very clean. Playground, sandy volleyball court, water…read morespray area, tennis court, horseshoe court. Highly recommend.

They renovated the playground area. It's much nicer than before. it has swings, slides, climbing…read morestructures (even a rope one!) and a spinning platform. The little kids enjoy the frog that sprays water. There is a public restroom next to the playground so you don't have to drag the little ones too far to use it. The rest of the park has some reservable picnic table areas with BBQs. You'll find 2 tennis courts way in the back, and also a horseshoe pit. Sometimes you'll see people playing volleyball at the sand volleyball court. There is a path that makes a loop around the park. People like to use it to walk or run laps. There is a pond that used to be filled with an unnatural blue color water. This would attract Candadian Geese to the park and they made a big mess pooping all over the park. There was a time when it got so bad that you could not safely stroll along the walkway without running into geese poop. Trying to avoid these land mines is not a fun way to enjoy the park. They've since turned off the water features and the geese no longer plague the park. The park is definitely much cleaner now. There is a small parking lot by the playground and also street parking along the street that leads up to the parking lot. The parking lot dead ends, but they have designed a roundish area at the end -- this area is not designated for parking in -- at the end to help you make a u-turn to drive back out. Sometimes it is difficult to make this u-turn when people park in this area. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=a3c15emWpHiehs81jdgHHw&userid=isQotFiKU_S_TI4Qt4MtMQ https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=7OFU_4ZnZNDS9b1LMP3QtQ&userid=isQotFiKU_S_TI4Qt4MtMQ https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=rxdAa2RDw46kCSADO9H7hQ&userid=isQotFiKU_S_TI4Qt4MtMQ .
