Lots of other restaurants get by because there's no competition, but with Mexican it's just not the case. The service was good and attentive, the ambience very casual with a nice view of the Arkansas River if you sit near the window. But the food was just okay. Not bad but not great. What you'd typically expect from a simple Mexican food restaurant. Since moving here I think I'm over "basic Mexican food" I want something rememberable and amazing.

In my opinion the Steak was a tiny bit overdone, but very typical for Mexican and better than most restaurants. Plenty of steak, and I might leave out the lettuce next time. The sour cream was all on one side of the burrito, which is my pet peeve, but I'll probably get it again next time. The churro dessert looked and tasted amazing and is also worth a try; normally I skip desserts at a Mexican place. Big enough to share.

The owner/server was very friendly and helpful, explaining the menu options and specials. The Saturday specials include an all-you-can eat taco, burrito and enchilada option, which all of my friends ordered. I ordered a burrito with steak asada, chorizo and jalapenos. We also ordered three appetizers: queso, queso w/chorizo and guacamole. The apps and chips were awesome. Some of the freshest, tastiest guac that I have had since moving to AR seven years ago. My burrito was one of the best I have ever had with a deep, rich flavor. A couple of my friends ordered seconds and thirds on their orders. The rice was perfect (and I'm not a rice guy). The beans were a black bean puree and very tasty. We chose this spot out of four that we looked at and it didn't disappoint. The bill for four meals, appetizers and drinks with refills was $22/person and everyone left stuffed. This little gem is a must if you are in the Conway area!!!
