100% awesomeness! Wife and I came in for lunch. I wanted to order everything on the menu but the things I ordered were simply delicious. Dessert was out of this world. It was just simply delicious awesomeness. They say I must try their sister restaurant called 26 vegan!

Ultimate plant lover one stop shop. Vegan and nature friendly! The staff were really helpful with helping me decide because everything looked so good. I would go there everyday for breakfast if I could. 10/10 recommend!

This place is not perfect, but I absolutely adore this place. They have such an extensive vegan menu and everything is carefully and aesthetically prepared. The food was great and we really loved the presentation. Sometimes it's hard to find good vegan food, but I'm glad I gave this place a try. The staff was also super nice. Would love to come here again and enjoy the nice ambiance of natural plants and homey vibes.

The ambiance is very nice. The colors are vegan friendly. Lots of greenery and live plants throughout. The desserts are showcased in a plastic or glass display with other things. On top of the display are jars of dried fruits and such. Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted and went to find our seats. There's no shortage of staff on the floor. We were provided with the QR code to scan and look at the menu. We ordered the canolli as our starter. When one thinks of canolli, one imagines sweetness, well it was a savory starter (as I expected). We also ordered the Havana drink along with a bottle of sparkling water. For our mains, we opted for warm dishes and ordered the Berlin and the Nomad. For dessert we had matcha latte and the cheesecake with pecans. The Havana drink was refreshing and light. It was a bit clear for a green juice, but it was tasty and fresh. Presentation was great. The canolli's had what appeared to be saffron pieces on top. The crust maintained its shape and texture. The filling was divine. I almost wished I had ordered more (lol). Next came the main dishes. Again, beautiful presentation. The rice and mushroom combo of the nomad was great. A slight spicy sauce is served with the nomad (poured table side-nice touches of highlighting service). I honestly did not taste spicy. The mushrooms looked like beautifully charred pieces of beef. The Berlin came with three "meatballs" with red cabbage on the bottom and a mayo like sauce that seemed to maybe have a hint of mustard seed. Anyway, the sandwich was great. I didn't quite care for the little piece of bread placed on top, as I felt it made no improvement to the dish. The meatballs were firm yet moist. Everything was well seasoned. I opted for the matcha latte as an ending to the meal because I knew matcha is slightly less sugary than most other lattes. As the broken record goes, beautiful presentation. The milk used was pea milk. The texture of the cheesecake felt like soften tofu and looked like tofu. The passion fruit flavor really shined through. The crust was my favorite part of the dessert. The overall meal was delicious. If I make the move to Portugal, this would be on my list of places to eat when in Lisbon. Bill total was €48.

Note: the selector of dishes changes daily. For us this time: Great offer of a drink plus soup plus main dish. We received pumpkin soup that was so smooth and creamy - hard to believe. A good portion - medium (not small) cup of soup. Then we were served a portion of an amazing sweet potato sliced and backed as one piece (super yummy and unexpected taste!), with green pea mash, and grilled vegetables with a sause and a grilled oyster mushroom "steak" and baby spinach salad on the side. It was amazing. Fine dining experience! Great value considering the amount of food, it's quality and number of plates.

Gyoza! Pretty tasty the sauce it sits in is great otherwise you may want a bit of chili pepper to add a kick

Really good food! You can totally bring a meat eater here and they'd enjoy the food. We tried a few things on the menu including the Gyoza and the tagliatelle!!

The cheesecake was a little grainy but very tasty, especially the crust.

From the moment we were seated, Cristina took her time in welcoming us and explaining every item on the menu. We got extremely lucky in beating the dinner rush and submitting our orders in. The subsequent groups who came in were simply turned away or quoted at least an hr wait. Even with full house, our foods came in a reasonable time. With her recommendation, we went with seafood bake for 2 and BBQ pork in 4 diff cuts (we wanted to try a little bit of everything). The seafood bake was beyond amazing - there were literally 4 diff types of WHOLE fish (cod, salmon, bass?, can't tell the last one), along with dozen of fresh shrimp with shells still on and clams! The pot felt bottomless with seafood. It took us literally an hr just to power through this dish. The seafood bake's sauce was so yummy that my husband started throwing in his side potato to soak up the flavor. Towards the end, he straight up spooned and drank it. The bbq pork was so juicy and flavorful! My husband really enjoyed the bacon cut - fatty yet crispy. The side salad was so refreshing with its light, house made dressing. Honestly, we couldn't be any happier with our dinner! Too bad we were so stuffed that we didn't get to try their desserts. What an incredible meal! Amazing food and heartwarming service - Cristina even took the time to come by our table to check and chat with us during dinner rush - we couldn't ask for more. Price was a steal especially for how much food we got - around 50 Euros. Would definitely return if we ever revisit Lisbon!

We took a while to warm up to Madragoa. This is a true no-frills, family-run biz, with the husband…read moreworking the room and the wife working the kitchen. So, service can be a little disorganized, as they both juggle entertaining, cooking, remembering orders, giving tourists advice, telling stories about the dishes, etc. They treat each table like a new group of friends, with individualized service & chatter, which can draw things out a bit, but overall provides a memorable experience and food that's worth the wait. The food was very traditional, hearty (meaning: potatoey!) and well-priced. It's CASH ONLY, so don't over order if you can't pony up. The traditional dish of mashed potatoes, bread, and fish (like a savory bread pudding) was really interesting, but greasy and filling, so be warned. We also liked the seafood stew, and local meat & cheese plate. Affordable wines are available AND they have a Yelp check-in offer for a free welcome drink, a very nice surprise. For warm, personalized service and old-school Portugese recipes, you won't be led astray at Madragoa.
