We were looking for a mid-end sofa recliner and found exactly what we wanted: A quality piece of furniture, firm and comfortable, with a durable leather covering and backed by a good company. Phillip, our sales person, introduced himself as we entered and informed us about the sale prices and the layout of the store. He allowed us to browse, uninterrupted and was available to answer any questions that we had. He made the buying process very relaxed and convenient. We wanted to think about the purchase so we called back the next day and Phillip assisted us with placing our order online. The process was secure and convenient as they use a secure link to provide credit card information. Phillip kept in contact with us throughout this process and confirmed each step, which was reassuring. We highly recommend LA Furniture Store and Design Center based on our exceptional experience.

The furniture on display looked better than what was actually provided in delivery after purchase. Maybe the materials are good quality, but the craftsmanship was very poor. The chairs quickly sagged because of poor bases (I found sturdier chairs much cheaper at IKEA) and the screws come loose very easily making the chairs prone to instability and breakage.

The wooden bins in the center of the warehouse have different pricing depending on what day of the week you visit. The day's special prices are marked on the white dry erase board that is visible upon entry. The pricing structure is as follow: Friday = a warehouse full of new inventory released to the public. Highest price with most selection. Ex. $12 pants. Saturday = whatever that is left is now marked down by a %, say 50%. Ex. $6 Sunday = whatever that remains is now marked down again, say now $5 Monday = whatever that remains is marked down once more to say $4 Tuesday = whatever that remains is now marked down to $3 Wednesday = whatever that remains now is $2 Thursday = whatever that remains is now $1. On this day, something that costs you $12 if you bought it last Friday will now only cost you $1 to buy the same item ---IF it remains available for purchase. Clothes on this day often becomes "fill a whole bag for $20". Seriously a steal, if you find anything good to steal. So by Thursday, most of the stuff is sold out, only a few bins to browse through, while 3/4th of the warehouse is yellow-taped out for no-entry or no-browsing and will be made available the next day. But you seriously get the best pricing on Thursdays. I got a stack of quality 100% Egyptian cotton hand towels for $0.50 each. I've been a loyal customer of Ortho Mattress for years, having purchased five different mattresses across multiple homes. Up until now, I had always felt confident in the quality of both the product and service. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has left me shocked, disappointed, and deeply unsettled. I purchased a mattress and was scheduled for delivery between 3-7 PM. Not only did I receive no call or update during that window (despite being told I'd get a call an hour prior), but when 7:20 PM came and went, I assumed the delivery was not happening. I stepped away briefly to pick up groceries just 5 minutes from home. At 7:30 PM, I received a call from the delivery driver asking if I was home. I explained that I hadn't been given any notice and that I could return in just a couple of minutes. Rather than understanding, the driver immediately became aggressive, telling me they would not wait and that I would be charged. The conversation escalated rapidly. His tone became so hostile and threatening that I ended the call, feeling genuinely afraid. He then called me again, continuing the aggressive behavior to the point that I feared for the safety of my home and rushed back in a panic. I called Efrain from Ortho Mattress and left a message immediately, explaining that I felt deeply unsafe and wanted to cancel the order. The following morning, I received a call stating the mattress would be delivered. I explained what happened and said I didn't feel comfortable having that same delivery person return to my home. Rather than listening, the man on the phone dismissed my concerns, insisting his drivers were "nice guys" and making me feel invalidated and unheard. Despite my clear request, the same aggressive driver was sent back to my home. To this day, I have not received a call back or any meaningful follow-up about this experience. As someone who has supported this business for years, I'm disheartened by the lack of care and accountability shown in this situation. What should have been a simple delivery turned into a deeply distressing encounter, and that experience still sits with me. read more

Came ready to buy a mattress and the bald headed wanna be cholo with a goatee that sits in the office already had an UGLY attitude as soon as we walk in the door, asked what type of mattress am I looking for I clearly said a TWIN & he wanted to show me the black mattresses at the entrance that DONT come in a TWIN & has the audacity to tell me that it's not science rocket to feel a mattress because I REFUSED to lay down and kept insisting " I distribute my weight" on the mattress!!!
