There's just soo much that I can say to recommend seeking treatment with OrthoAlex. I was initially hesitant to even get braces in fear of the costs, but once in the lovely and sweet Jessica informed me that they had Invisalign as an option, and that they us payment options to fit my budget. With everything going on and the prices of gas and good skyrocketing, this was perfect! Both of their offices are well kept, and the environment and people are just amazing! I have to say that this was life changing. Not only did they fix my teeth, that gave me a smile. And that in turn boosted my confidence to heights that I never thought possible. And not only that but since I had invested in my teeth, it also helped me quit smoking since I wanted nothing more than a beautiful smile. Dr. Alexander was always gentle when handling my mouth (which was a big concern since I had very sensitive teeth after years of poor decisions). He was well knowledge that when I first started he could tell that I wasn't always using my dental bands and would remind me in a way that he knew that I lied but pretended to believe me and just kept reminding me until I realized the importance. Definitely a great way to encourage kids to do so. We would also always trade stories about our wrestling/Jiu Jitsu days while we would complete his routine checkup on me. He's the kind of man that you know was an excellent dad and role model. Dr. Drew is just like his dad. Knowledgeable even for his age and always went through great lengths to make sure that my aligners were on point and that my treatment would progress on time and with zero issues. After every checkout Dr. Drew made sure that there's no issues nor concerns with the new set of trays and had in and out the door ready to tackle my busy schedule. I think that the ladies would see him as that dreamy orthodontist that they'd want work on them. He's definitely a really chill guy. Leslie was one of the best! Always made sure that they could squeeze me in despite my hectic schedule. They knew that my work life was busy but had no idea what my personal life was like but always made sure that they had time to take me in, even if it was a tad bit out of the way for them. After she found out that I was taking care of my terminally ill mom, she would always ask how she's doing and how we're keeping up. That kind of support mid day would help anyone get through their day. Lee was definitely one hell of a RDA. I think my treatment went as well as it did because of his sharp eye. I wouldn't know that a bracket would be out, and I would always assume that it's because I would have new aligners and they just need to be bit on a bit harder and longer to settle. But Lee always found the flaws and made sure that every time I left the office my aligners were set properly. His skill in removing the remainder of the broken bracket and replacing it was definitely top notch! Probably one of the most valuable assets that they have there. And it was always dope hearing about his sons games win or lose. By the way that he always spoke about his son you can tell that he's really loving and proud. Emily was just a great as Lee every time that she took over. Very gentle to the touch. She would entertain me by telling me about her tattoos and what they stood for. It was a shame that most of my scheduling was when she wasn't available. But it's okay because their team was just soo confident that any member could replace the other and my treatment would still have the same outcome. Amazing! I'm definitely going to miss seeing the lovely jessica and hearing what new hikes and adventures that she's going to get into next. I'll always remember that she was the one that encouraged me to get my teeth fixed, and it definitely changed my life. I'll forever be grateful. Her smile was always welcoming. I even remember telling her that I liked her smile and she was like, "I have Invisalign too! Look!" Jennessa was fairly new to the office (I assume) by the time that my treatment was finished. She took the final mold for my post treatment retainers and once they came back they fitted perfectly! Definitely showed the quality of skill that Dr. Alexander looks for when building his team. I don't remember having the opportunity to have Jackie checkup on me but I do remember that she's always so uppity and I'm good spirits. Every time that she got me in and seated was refreshing. I have had a great experience with OrthoAlexander, who did my Invisalign over a period of roughly 18 months. Some of my favorite things about this orthodontic practice include that (1) all the staff are friendly, welcoming, know your name and sufficient details of your history so you don't always have to start over, (2) communication between the two main orthodontist is so well that they always seem in sync, (3) they are flexible and very responsive to changes in schedules and treatment plans needed, (4) they are realistic about timelines and expectation, (5) they are meticulous about their work, especially in ensuring that the work remains at a high quality, and (6) they provide really good dentist and oral surgery referrals and work in conjunction with these other doctors. read more

I have two boys who have been going to see Dr. Alexander for 5 years. Their braces have been on for a long time because their adult teeth have been slow to emerge. We have found Dr. Alexander and his staff to be pleasant and friendly most of the time. The office can get crowded but it's clean and well-maintained. One of my sons has a medical condition that requires twice yearly MRI's of his head, in order to avoid artifacts it is imperative that he have no metal in his mouth. My son's brackets are non-metallic, and Dr. Alexander takes out the bands and wires before the MRI's, then puts them back after the scan. We had a hard time finding someone who was able to accommodate this request and Dr. Alexander has been great in this regard. read more

I've been meaning to write this for a while, I had an excellent experience with OrthoAlexander and the awesome staff/family. Needless to say, I was not thrilled about having to get braces again and this time as an adult. But I really felt like it couldn't have been a better experience. I only had to go into the office a handful of times, because I was able to do this awesome virtual check-in every week with Dr. Alexander through an app. It was really easy, and super convenient. Maybe it's because a father and son are the head orthodontists, they've truly cultivated a genuine family atmosphere. Especially between the staff, that really comes across with the way they interact with each other and with clients. I trusted everyone of those team members to do what they needed to do and I was consistently impressed by their kindness and level of expertise. So basically, try not to have to get braces for the second time when you're an adult; but if you have to, let OrthoAlexander take care of you. read more

At the end of the day, I cannot say enough great things about OrthoAlexander, I will always recommend them to friends, family, and Yelpers. I will explain my story below. When I was in middle school - high school I received braces by OrthoAlexander, unfortunately I was too young and immature to maintain proper retainer practices. When my wisdom teeth started to grow in in my 20's I picked up an edge bite and other forms of shifting in my teeth. After routine dentistry I asked my family dentist best course of action to improve my smile, by the way I have relatively good-looking teeth, but not the Hollywood smile most desire. We decided I will go through another round of Orthodontics to fix my bite and then will explore other cosmetic dentistry routes like veneers. About a month ago I gave OrthoAlexander a call as I was interested in getting a quote for Invisalign if I was a candidate, which I fortunately was. Leslie answered the phone and she remembered me even though I haven't been in the office in 10 years. Given I am an identical twin and with my older brother receiving treatment at the same time, 3 young boys are quite a handful and I suppose can be quite memorable. Either way, she and I had fun reminiscing the past and made me feel like family, which made me super excited about seeking treatment. I showed up about 1-2 weeks later and absolutely had a blast which is weird to say because hands in my mouth isn't my idea of fun. Everyone there is super awesome, and the atmosphere is great. Leslie and I had a lot of laughs in the reception area. I was then handed off to Lee who was a super chill guy who you can tell really cares about his son. I showed up during the Friday before Halloween and Lee was wearing a cool zombie like mask which made me laugh a lot every time, I opened my eyes on the chair. I then was sent to talk about my treatment plan with Dr. Alexander. We also shared a few laughs and without knowing the price I told them I wanted to start treatment today as they have fully earned my trust. I was initially very nervous expecting a very expensive quote, but what was presented to me was quite affordable. At checkout I went over the payment details with Jessica who is a complete sweet heart. I don't know what else to say other then I would highly recommend giving them an opportunity to treat you, because I am 1000% satisfied with their service and highly anticipating the arrival of my Invisalign trays and Journey. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. BTW I never write reviews, but I was bored and wanted to see their Yelp rating. When I read a few 1-star reviews, I felt obligated to write a review because I cannot see how anyone could have a poor experience unless if they are just a hateful individual that wants to spread mis-information. I had a great experience at this office! Everyone was super pleasant, from the front desk staff, to the techs and of course (both) Dr. Alexanders'. I love that this is a family practice and they seemingly treat everyone this way. They worked to understand my insurance coverage right from the get-go, which I've had MAJOR issues with in the past at other practices. I have had several different invisilign consultations, but was advised by a friend to go to a specialist vs a general dentist. There was a major difference in process. The analysis was much more in-depth. They looked further into the situation instead of just straightening my teeth. I felt so comfortable and confident in Dr. Drew's diagnosis that I decided to move forward right away. First, I want to preface this with that I have had a lot of dental and orthodontic work in my life . So, I was not an easy "mom" in that I am pretty demanding , expect A1 custody met service , and , most importantly, a true artist and technician of an Orthodontist. I have three kids . Two of them had two sets of braces. Ones bite did not occlude properly initially and was quite a bit or work . The oldest only had one set of braces . Hands down this doctor is fantastic . He is an expert especially correcting bites. Other dentists have looked at my kids (two are now with adult dentists) and they have commented how good the work was and how good the bites are. He is good both cosmetically and functionally . You don't want your kids to suffer with tmj due to bad orthodontic work. It is a process . If you want quality work, Dr. Alexander is your guy. read more

Cons: Appointments not scheduled a month or more in advance can be hard to get, we've had to wait more than a week to get my son's braces back in after his MRI's. They allow for the breakage of two brackets over the entire duration of the braces, then you are charged. Many kids have their braces off after 2 years but my boys have had their braces on for longer than that. Once less than an hour after we left their office and we headed to another doctor appointment, my son's bracket literally snapped in his mouth, he'd had absolutely nothing to eat (there was no opportunity) and only a few sips of water, I was with him the entire time so I know. We called them and they got us in later that day to replace the bracket, but later, after another bracket broke, we'd exceeded the 2-bracket limit and the office manager wanted to charge us. I told her about the bracket that spontaneously snapped and she was very confrontational, told me flat out that that never happens and that my son had done something to cause the breakage. I started to get upset as I'd been with him literally every second and there was literally nothing. Dr. Alexander overheard the conversation and instructed her to let it go and we weren't charged. Overall our experience has been positive and I don't understand all the one-star reviews. I've referred three of our friends to Dr. Alexander and they have all been satisfied He is less expensive than some of the other orthodontists in town. If you are considering him I'd advise you to give him a chance and form your own opinion independent of the other commenters' opinions. read more

Both my girls see Dr. Alexander. We went to 5 different orthos and were most comfortable with the treatment he suggested. Almost all the others wanted to move my daughters upper teeth back with a headgear when the obvious choice after talking to Dr A was to move her bottom jaw forward. I can't explain it in proper terms, what they did, ;) but her profile and teeth look amazing. She gets compliments all the time! I cringe to think had we gone the other route what her profile would look like! My daughter who is also very picky chose Dr . A because she felt comfortable with him. I received the orthodontic treatment from Dr. Alexander five years ago. When he took off my braces, he didn't complete straighten my teeth and closed the gap between my teeth. My teeth have relapsed even though I wear my retainers and did all the follow up visits, and he charged me for retainer adjustment in 2008 when I complained. In 2008, I got second opinion from other orthodontist that I need to wear brace again to re-do the work because his work was incomplete. I am considering re-do the orthodontics work and I asked his office to give me my record. His wife told me that they have destroyed my record. I need my record to decide if I need a new retainer to retain my teeth at all if I don't get a second orthodontics treatment. read more

They are up-to-date with their technology and take pride with the service they provide to the numerous patients they have. My entire family, my 3 girls and my husband have been going to Dr. Alexander for a bit over 10 years. I have found him to be a fabulous diagnostician. All 3 of my girls required the 2 stage process. Yes, it took a long time, but, there is a flat fee and no additional charges, should more time be required. My youngest has a very small mouth and had teeth coming out every which way. Dr. Alexander used the expander to widen her mouth to accomadate all her teeth not needing to extract any. He never wants to remove teeth but wants to keep the mouth intact so ensure a perfect smile. In fact, I think my youngest will be getting her braces off next visit!! I would highly recommend Dr. Alexander, and if fact have. I have been a patient since March 2011. I interviewed 3 different orthodontists when I learned I needed to get braces. I am 37 years old and have ground my teeth and have significant crowding of my lower teeth. I was told by all sites I visited that Invisalign was not for me and traditional braces were the way to go. I chose Dr. Alexander because: 1. While all site took x-rays, Dr. Alexander was the only orthodontist that actually looked in my mouth himself, not just at the x-rays. He checked my bite and discussed a few potential plans that could be taken to remedy the problem. He actually spoke to me and clearly explained things that other sites did not. 2. An upfront fee of @ $200 that was reimbursed by insurance and then a formal quote for treatment was given costing about the same as the other locations, and my insurance and flex benefits covered it all Total treatment was @ $6, 000 up front (they did offer a payment plan, I just didn't need it). 3. I am also allergic to latex and his office does not use latex gloves. It is such a relief to not have to worry about a contact reaction (just remember to check that your rubber bands are latex-free version if you are allergic). 4. Staff is super friendly. I have not had a single issue with any person in the office. They have always been professional, polite, and respectful. While scheduling can be tricky, and there are occasionally incidents where last minute repairs or emergencies arrive to set the schedule off, I have never had to wait more than 45 minutes, and usually not more than 15 minutes. I also was informed by multiple locations that timing of how long you have you braces is a rough estimate, and many factors can affect the length of treatment. Dr. Alexander estimated 2 to 2.5 years, approaching 2.5 years now, but he also said it could be more or less. My teeth look so much better and while I dreaded getting the braces, the experience has actually not been much of an inconvenience and certainly NOT the nightmare I expected. I have been so pleased, I am planning to take my 7yo daughter in for an evaluation this month. Thank you Dr. Alexander and staff for taking good care of me! read more

Beyond disappointed and thankful to be a warning alarm for those thinking of using this practice for your orthodontic treatment. I was a patient many many years ago, and now having children of my own going through braces, I realize the lack of attention I received as a patient by Dr. Alexander. I can not get back the 4 teeth I was told to extract, and the initial "gap in my front teeth" was only made further pronounced by now the spaces in areas I did not have before. Once my braces were removed the gaps were obvious within months; I was given a mouth guard not a retainer as should have been routine. Unfortunately I moved out of state and could do nothing but feel helpless after this painful, expensive and VERY disappointing experience. read more
