This has nothing to do with the business per se, but with the personnel. I had hit a curb, blew a tire and limped into their parking lot. To my dismay, I discovered my tire changing tools were missing, and tried looking up a roadside service on my cellphone. The sunlight washed out my screen, rendering it useless, so I went into their office and asked to use their landline. The young lady, who was the receptionist, asked me who I wanted to call. I told her my problem, so she looked up a service, called and gave them directions. Within the hour, Bracken's Auto Tech & Tires had me back on the road. (I gave them a good Yelp as well.) My heartfelt thanks to her as, at 88, with a bad back, I can't walk too far, especially i 100+ weather. She was a lifesaver and I wanted those she worked for to know they have a gem. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Joseph W.

Dr. Joseph Wilson is bringing his vast career to St George, Utah! Currently treating patients in Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico, overseeing over 10,000 patients. He is well regarded in the communities that he serves, earning numerous accolades for his quality and patient centered care. Raised in the Southern Utah town of Blanding, Dr. Wilson was awarded a Baseball & Chemistry scholarship. After College Dr. Wilson served a 2-year mission for his church in Seoul, South Korea. This was a unique opportunity to work with Korea's deaf population, learning the Korean language and Korean sign language. Dr. Wilson graduated and served in our military for over 4 years, completed a dental degree at UNLV, then his Orthodontic Specialty degree at the University of Colorado dental School. When he is not creating smiles in the community, he can be found spending time with his family enjoying outdoor adventures.

Eventually, I started avoiding regular check-ups and delayed much-needed dental care longer than I'm willing to admit. When I decided to finally go to a dentist, Bloomington Dental was recommended to me by a family member who generally fears dentists but really likes Dr. Neilson. Making an appointment was easy. When I arrived, the office staff was welcoming and the hygienist (Sydney) listened to all my issues/concerns and took it all into consideration while doing my cleaning. I never felt judged or shamed for my past lack of proper dental care or the current state of my teeth. Dr. Neilson explained my dental issues/needs delicately yet plainly, offering a range of solutions (lower cost, shorter-term vs. higher cost, longer term - never trying to "sell" me) as well as what needed to be prioritized. Due to this positive experience, I decided to follow Dr. Neilson's advice and use his services. I ended up making several weekly appointments which included root canals, crowns and fillings. The dental assistant, Kelsey, did an excellent job of being sensitive to my TMD and gag reflex issues. Knowing I preferred to be told what was happening, she was diligent in letting me know as each step progressed, as well as always making sure I was comfortable. His lead assistant, Kristie, was confident and highly skilled. I felt positive in her advice and opinions on helping chose my crown shades and "smile style." During each appointment, Dr Nielsen was consistently friendly and thoughtful. He made sure I was always properly numb throughout each procedure and checked his work with a detailed-eye. Additionally, he listened to all my concerns and answered all my questioned with confidence and care. Out of my eight appointments, only two started late by about 20 minutes. However, overall, from the moment I walked in the door, Bloomington Dental & Dr. Nielsen offered first-class service and superior skills. I'd highly recommend using them to anyone for any and all dental care needs.

Devon saved our vacation! We were in St. George as the last part of a week-long vacation where my daughter had lost a bracket and had a pokey wire for at least a day. Our ortho in Phoenix told us to just clip the wire - easier said than done! After trying for 30 min I realized I needed to find someone fast (it was nearly 5pm). I called in a panic the one ortho I could find that was open and close enough to get there quickly. Devon took us into the very nice looking office (I'm sure just what she wanted to do on Friday at closing time after she had it all cleaned and ready for the weekend), did a quick check and clipped that beast for us. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, if you don't want your time wasted, go here. Transfered from Burke and Beckstram after 8 months because I had an awful experience with them, my teeth were worse than before I put braces on, after 8 MONTHS! (I've had braces before so it shouldn't have taken more than a couple months). This Dr. had my teeth perfect and braces off in A MONTH AND A HALF . The staff was amazing, super respectful and sweet. My wife and three of my children have and have had braces at other doctors here in St. George, and I have nothing bad to say about them, however, I personally had braces put on Dr. Wilson along with one of my daughters.
