I went in for a cleaning today and left my drivers license in my car. When asked for ID, I offered my digital license and the office staff started to lecture me stating "Oh so you think that would work if you got pulled over?! You think that is good enough?" I could have gone back and got it out of my car but I have never been treated so poorly and lectured by an office staff member. I actually told them I would no longer be taking the appointment and scheduled with another dentist office for next week!

I went for a checkup on 2 molars I am thinking of extracting since no molars to meet on the bottom…read more Last year Dr. Digney extracted a molar and it went pretty well. I paid extra to be put out in twilight . Someone prior to him apparently missed that I had a cavity and the tooth could not be saved . This was the 1st time ever I had to have a tooth extracted other than the wisdom teeth and was more than happy with the results . I did not want any issues later in life but he said it barely moves and could possibly take many years 10 or more even that to have an issue . He did not recommend extraction unless I am feeling uncomfortable. I guess I'll check back next year but I do have insurance now and wanted to take a precaution . He is wonderful and said he would do it if that's what I wanted but would wait He works out of Kawa Orthodontics office which has a welcoming and soothing waiting area of the ocean and sea throughout the whole place. I believe this relaxes the patients especially kids who need to have braces etc. I would not go to any other oral surgeon . The only other great one was Dr Russo who did my wisdom but believe he is retired .

After the surgery I waited over 3 months for my dental to cover 2 of the teeth but the other tooth was not covered, so it went through my medical which they did. I called and the person that work at the billing department only work like tueday to Friday and she is extremely busy. I left a messages asking if they heard back from the insurance and they told me to call back when the person in charge isthere. I finally got a hold of her and was told that my insurance just send back the information and she will get back to me when a check for my difference will be mailed out. 2 weeks past and I got nothing in the mail. So I decided o call back and I was told that they try calling me and did not got a hold of me and left a message on my voicemail. I told her I never received any message. She then told me I need to file out a form that will be sent to my emai and to send it back to receive my money. I print the form and send it back . But on the form it says it can take up to 90 days to receive a check. This is rediculous. They took my 1000 dollars all at once the week before surgery but now I have to wait 90 days for a refund. My insurance company said since I was in network they should not have charged me upfront smh. I will not recommend them to anyone. And if I never follow up they would never had reach back out to me.

I went in for my usual 6 month cleaning and there was a definitely a difference. That warm, trusting and caring feeling I used to get was pretty much gone. My hygienist was still the same, but there was definitely a different vibe. After my cleaning was done, the new Dr. came in to see me and I must say it felt extremely awkward. I immediately got the impression that this practice has now become a business that puts money before the client's health and wellbeing. I was not impressed with this new practitioner at all. Well, 6 months later and time for my next cleaning. I had an open mind thinking that this visit may be a little better - giving the new practice a 2nd chance only because of my hygienist. Now, as I've stated, I've been going here for years. I was continuously praised Dr. Wishneff and the hygienist of how great my teeth and gums are -  no problems at all. After my hygienist poked around a little bit measuring gums and all, I now have issues that somehow miraculously appeared within 6 months. Surprise, surprise - these issues are not covered by insurance. To add insult to injury, she was not allowed to proceed with my cleaning unless I received and paid for the additional services. I left without getting anything done. Unfortunately, this is what the industry has become. Just keep in mind that once you're sitting in that chair, you become vulnerable and can be easily mislead. I will be looking for my next Dr. Wishneff - I sure hope there are a few left!!

Look no further. Trust me…read more I have been to dental offices all over the U.S. I have poured so much money into my dental work, only to watch my teeth go one by one. For reference, I had a spot in my mouth that no matter what I did, the dental work kept failing, and no one could figure out why. I was temporarily living in Delray and went to Spodak for a cleaning. The office was incredibly modern and had every specialty under one roof. I haven't been able to find anything like that anywhere else. Dr. Spodak, who is the patriarch of the practice, came in and he was so warm and comforting. He had a terrific bedside manner. He looked at me and said, "You don't have bad teeth. You probably do your dental work all at once, and they offer to do the left side and then the right side." I nodded. For the first time, I felt truly seen in a dental chair. He explained that all of the dental work had caused my bite to become off and told me, essentially, that if we started then, he believed he could save my teeth. If we didn't, I would likely continue losing the other side. Unfortunately, I didn't have the money at that point. I asked if I could at least get a bite guard. He told me that it wasn't going to solve the problem. That might sound like a small thing, but to me it said everything about their integrity. They knew a bite guard was all I could afford, and instead of bringing me in and charging me $500 for something they didn't believe would actually help, they were honest with me. I eventually moved to Arizona. When I finally did have the money to address my teeth, I couldn't find one dentist here who could help me or, more importantly, really listen to what I was saying. They offered bite guards. They told me to brush and floss more. I am not joking when I say I have seen more than 30 general dentists and specialists combined. And through all of that, I kept coming back to the same thing: this wasn't simply a brushing-and-flossing problem. My bite was the problem. Out of all of those providers, Dr. Spodak was the only one who ever talked to me about actually trying to prevent further damage and save my teeth. Sometimes I honestly feel like dentistry has become more focused on fixing problems once they happen rather than figuring out how to prevent them in the first place. If I could go back, I would have stayed in Delray and continued seeing Dr. Spodak. I am seriously considering flying back there just for a visit.

I had braces removed a few years ago, so I found that kind of ridiculous. They also tried selling me on a root canal that my insurance wouldn't cover at their office. When I mentioned that I was going to get a second opinion and I would find somewhere my insurance covered, the sales lady said something to the effect of, "oh but be reallllyyy careful, not everyone does those types of procedures correctly and could damage it further", essentially using scare tactics to try to get me to book it through them right then and there. (News flash- second opinion said everything was fine). So I left feeling a little weird about this place, but I thought maybe my next cleaning in 6 months would be better and more streamlined/less sales-y. I set my next cleaning appointment for today at 11am. I have a text I replied and confirmed to for my appointment at 11am today. I took off work for 11am today for this appointment. At 8:09am I get a text asking if I'm on my way to my appointment at 8:00. I call the office and say that's weird, maybe they contacted the wrong patient because I'm staring at a text that says 11am. The woman on the phone tells me someone called me Tuesday and asked if I could change it to 8am and that the appointment is now already considered a cancellation and they can't see me at 11 either. I know that's not true, but I scroll through my call log anyway just to make sure I'm not going crazy, and confirmed I have no calls from spodak dental. They offered to see me at 3:00 instead. I reiterate that I took off work for 11am today so that isn't possible. If you're looking for a cut and dry dentist to give you an honest service, have you in and out of there, and not sell you on glitz and glam, fancy espresso machine in the lobby, shiny new state of the art equipment, and an office that can only be described as a resort lobby, this is not the place. Save your time and find a smaller reputable practice. I really tried to give this place another chance. Photos attached of my text that I confirmed and my call log.
