Went in for a lumbar cortisone injection yesterday, Dr Wong placed needle in too deep into spinal sac have spinal fluid leak. It's been over 24 hours I can't lift my head from excruciating headache and neck ache this has caused. I've left 2 messages with their answering service to get advice if I should go to ER, it's been exactly an hour and a half and no call back. I showed at 11:10 and checked in with the receptionist. She asked for my $ 10 co-pay. I told her I did not have my wallet with me and could they bill me. She said " it's our policy to collect the co-pay at the time of the appointment.". I again said I do not have my wallet please bill me, she said "I need to collect the co-pay at the time of the appointment" I again said I told you I do not have my wallet, could you check with a supervisor and ask them if I can be billed. She left for about 8-10 minutes, came back and said " we need to collect the co-pay now". I asked to speak to an office supervisor. A woman who said she was a site supervisor Noelle Pina came out and asked what the problem was, I explained I am here for an appointment with Dr. Wong for back pain and I would like to see him today and be billed for the co-pay. She said let me check with the Dr. After about 5 or so minutes she came back and said " the Doctor said, " he will not see you unless you pay the co-pay first". I said , you know I'm here for back pain, I don't have my wallet". She said " I'm just following policy" I said ,so I lose my appointment, the Doctor loses an appointment slot and you want me to make another appointment for my back pain which is sporadic, (which I was currently experiencing) for a $10 co-pay that you could bill me for. She said Well, the Doctor will not see you and I'm just following our procedure. I said well, it's a stupid procedure. So they cancelled my appointment and sent me away. I assume the position of site manager is responsible for managing day to day problems. Smoothing over problems and making things work is what a manager should do = that didn't happen. A Doctor should see his patient and help them help them alleviate their pain and fix the problem - that didn't happen either. Over a $10 co-pay that could have/ should have been billed, this is beyond stupid. I thought a cardinal rule in medicine was " first do no harm". I can assure you that waiting another 3 or 4 weeks for an appointment while experiencing back pain does do harm and I am appalled by your unprofessional lack of concern for my pain. I have been a patient at this office since 2009, I had 2 satisfactory knee replacements and 1 less than satisfactory hip replacement. Waited over two hours to see Dr Choa. We were supposed to go over the 3 procedures he had me do months before. Well incomes his assistant proceed to ask me what's the problem ....I said it's my back what's wrong with your back right there and then I should've left ....I said I'm here to see Dr. Choa and she said he will be in. She proceeded to tell me that I should have shots in my lower back again .I said can I see Dr. Choa ? she went out to talk to Dr. Choa she came back in and I said is he coming in and she said you need two shots in your lower spine ,they will set you up out front with DrWong .she says bye-bye I said I wanna go to see Dr. Choa she left. ................I left .......Just saw that she wrote in the my portal that I did not want to see Dr. Choa I politely declined. So initially i saw Dr. Chao for my back and he is truly a pleasure. Then I saw Dr. Anthony Wong and he has done every shot in my back and neck. Dr. Bohart has done my Botox for shoulder pain and Dr. Rogers did my hip surgery. They are all true professionals and though it's a busy office I have always felt that they each have taken the time to speak with me about my OH SO many health issues. I truly do recommend these providers. Busy practices are the norm but they all have spent time on the phone with me addressing my concerns. If I could give lower than 1 star I would. First the place is huge with 6 waiting rooms. Lines for everything. 2nd Dr Hoffman was terrible. My daughter broke her foot and he just put her in a boot and said come back in 3 weeks. 3 weeks later he said leave it for another 3 weeks. After 6 weeks he said leave in the boot more. Her foot was atrophying. I brought her to Children's who sent her to Physical Therapist. Horrible doctor. 3rd their billing department. They submitted for the boot and it was denied as a duplicate. Cigna said I owned nothing. But the billers didn't bother to check and just billed me for it. I didn't pay because Cigna said I wasn't responsible and they had already paid.I call and they say I have to talk to Cigna. Why? If they didn't think it was a duplicate why didn't they deal with the insurance. Stay away. Much better doctors and offices are available. read more

When your son has a back problem and they don't order a Lumbar spine mri Run. We live near Boston- go to the best if you can. These doctors twice have misdiagnosed my children. My own fault for going back. Never EVER again. They are a factory and guess the diagnosis without putting in the work. I met Dr. Hofmann, when I was a in-pt. at Good Sams. I was there, for some kind of infection, a spot was dead and another part was starting to turn black in my heel caused by a scrape, from my dog. He came to my room daily, sometimes in the a.m then p.m. He stayed and answered EVERY question my husband and I had. He stayed late, to get my heel fixed, also repaired my ACL. He is a great surgeon, has a great bed side manner. I have a long road ahead of me, but I have 110 confidence, that at the end of all this, I will be better, than before. Terrible, I'll give 3 stars because I like the Physical Therapists; however, it is like a factory. The PT's can be working with as many as 3 patients at once, so there is no individual attention. You're pretty much directed to an exercise and once you're finished you're left there to wait for additional direction. In my case, my doctor told me I was given the wrong exercises to do for my problem; anyway, if you want a quality pt experience go to Mass Sport and Spine, excellent. read more

Very clean surrounding. Polite and friendly staff. All workers really know their craft inside and out. Therapist are very into helping you succeed. Monitored and adjusted therapy by people who know what they are doing. Not just a bunch of stretching and doing exercises you likely already know. Awful. Rude support staff. Waited over an hour to be seen. When we had to leave before we even saw the doctor, the medical assistant was rude and condescending and said "You can leave" after she had the audacity to ask if we wanted to reschedule and I said no. At no time was I rude or out of line. Yeah, the next time I feel like pulling my kid out of school early, asking his grandfather to drive 80 miles up from CT to babysit siblings, having my son miss track practice and sitting in a closet-sized waiting room with a teething baby for an hour, I'll be sure to call so I can waste another three hours of my life. This review is for Dr. Wong and his "receptionist": RUDE AS HELL. First of all Ms. Receptionist, when a patient calls you it is polite to return that patient's call. The patient should NOT have to call the doctor that referred you to see this rude man. Secondly, Ms. Receptionist, didn't they train you to greet the patient ? YOU are supposed to provide customer service ! Btw, cover your tats ! It should also be noted that it should be fully explained to the patient the long-@#$ procedure to get a spinal injection. Again, Dr. Wong is rude and he is the ONLY doctor, other than his "receptionist" that I have had a negative experience with at this facility and I've been a patient for over ten years ! read more

Multiple hand surgeries with Dr Jason, there is no one any better than him in my humble opinion.

I give this rating because I have called 5 times within one week to schedule and have never actually talked to anyone. I got put on music hold & no one ever picked up. Longest wait before hanging up was 33 minutes. This is no way to run a for profit business. I am glad I couldn't get through, I can only imagine what actual treatment would be like. read more

This place is a factory! If you are looking for individual attention and pleasant reception - go elsewhere. I was seen in a "storage room" that doubled as an exam room. The Dr. put a 6 inch piece of old tape on my 2 toes that he retrieived from one of the drawers - charged me $150 ! My insurance didn't cover it. I was paying $25 a month and after 3 payments - they turned me into a collection agency! Never again. read more

We have always gotten excellent treatment from the beginning making appointments, checklist NH in with reception, x ray technicians, and of course the doctors! We have seen three different MD specialists over the years. They have all been in the top their fields, sensitive and informative. They work really well with young people. They all have a great bedside manner, too, with a gentle sense of humor that helps relax us when we're anxious about injuries. read more

I saw Dr Chao yesterday and would never go back! I have never been rushed through an examination as I have by him! He spent no more than 6 min with me and as I'm talking to him he must have yawned about 3 times, I hope I wasn't keeping him up! I never got to thoroughly explain what was going on cause I was practically pushed out the door. He said he wanted to see me in a month and when I went to make the appointment with the receptionist, I was told that I would be seen by the physicians assistant. I ask you,, when the Doctor was unsure on how to treat me, why should I be seen by the physicians assistant a month later! IM ALL SET, I WILL NEVER GO BACK! read more

Excellent experience with Dr Pepyne start to finish. My son saw her twice. She spoke to him and myself, took time to explain things, answer all questions, did not rush. Excellent "bedside" manner. One star because of the rude staff and in particular, Dr. Simon Chow. I made my first appointment with Dr. Chow and he saw me and recommended I get some shots in my spine to help ease my back pain. As I was leaving the office and waiting for the elevator, a woman that was also another one of Dr. Chows patient, said she overheard the receptionist mention that my follow up appointment would not be with Dr. Chow, but with his assistant. She said she only saw Dr. Chow once in a year. She said she was not coming back for that reason. Little did I know that this would turn out to be true. I did have the shots in my back, (not given by Dr. Chow) and had a follow up appointment with his assistant. She said to set up an appointment for a follow up, which I did. This appointment I was also seen by his assistant. At that time I told her that my back received only a little relief, she then suggested I have an MRI, which I did schedule and have done. No one ever called me back with any results, so I called and said I wanted to make an appointment with Dr. Chow to go over my results from my MRI. The appointment was scheduled for a few weeks later and when my wife and I went to see Dr. Chow, in comes his assistant and said she was going to go over the MRI with me. I told her I wanted to see Dr. Chow for this as I made this appointment with him. She said she would tell him. Because of this he came in with an attitude and was annoyed. He spent about two minutes with me, and never went over my MRI with me and when I asked if he had a copy, he just handed it to me and said here it is, and then recommended to get more shots and said he would have someone call me to schedule a time for this and left. This was the worse Dr's appointment I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! I would never go back to him again and I certainly would not recommend him to anyone else! He apparently likes to make the first appointment and don't bother him anymore after that. He appears to have no compassion or concern for his patients. Also, the person at the front window acts the same way, no smile, no concern, just all business! She apparently doesn't like her job either! read more

If you have Carpal Tunnel symptoms and are nervous about having the surgery... go see this doctor! I was referred to and seen by Dr. Fanuele for Carpal Tunnel. He ordered an MRI which was done immediately right in his medical office, and I also got the results immediately (while I was still at my first appointment). My carpal tunnel was bad and surgery was needed, so we booked it that same day as well. The surgeries went great, one done at 2 weeks out and one done at 4 weeks out. I healed very well and never felt another carpal tunnel symptom again from the moment I woke from each surgery. The staff was always very polite and helpful. I could tell that they were all very busy, but they were never rude whatsoever. I have referred several people to them since. I am only two weeks away from my last surgery and I am probably 90 percent back to being like new!! read more

I only give the one star because I have to to write this review. All I can say is I actually never even made it into this place. I've called at least a dozen times to the MRI department and they have not once even picked up the phone. I've left three messages and never received a call back. These calls and messages were left overa period one week. The one time somebody did pick up, was when I called the front desk and asked where can I make appointment for an MRI. And you know what? She said said that's Heather down stairs and transferred me the same extension I have been trying all week , I left my final message that day. It's been 2 days and still nothing ! So C Ya . I needed to be seen urgently and one of the Dr's was highly recommended to me. However, he specializes in Neck and Spine injuries. But given the recommendation I had my Physician refer me to them. After, me and my physician tried to get them to see me we were turned down and they told my private physician I should go to the Emergency room if I needed urgent care. That was heartless and insensitive and only bespeaks of their lack of concern for me. I wouldn't go to them now if they were the last Center for Orthopedics left in the area as its obvious they care less about patients than they do about making money. Of note I have Private Health Insurance so not sure what the heck this practice was thinking. read more
