I have had severe osteoarthritis in my hip for almost 2 years and finally decided to have it looked at, After reviewing many Orthopedic surgeons I decided to see Dr. Brian Fuller, he is very good, he explained what exactly was wrong and how he could fix it, The entire staff were very helpful and very pleasant to talk to, they arranged my surgery and I only had to do the Pre-Registration with the hospital, Dr. Fuller did an awesome job with my Hip Replacement, I never had any pain after the surgery and his follow up was the best, he personally called my family in another state to let them know that it had gone good and I was doing fine and talked to them in length, I know of very few Doctors that would do that. His 1st assist Michelle was so good at keeping me up to date with everything and would call me back right away if I had any questions or concerns, It has only been 6 weeks and my hip is perfect, I have no pain finally and can walk without a cane which I was using for the last 6 months, I cannot give Dr. Fuller and his staff enough praise for the great work they did, I just wish I had not waited so long to do this. Very counterproductive attitude and unprofessional and harmful due to their unwilling attitude. Simple Math find a Doctor who is caring and not lying to your face. Patient will get their M.R.I denied by insurance ;because of Medical Assistant or Physician's intentional harm and neglect reflecting by their physical behavior towards your actual medical care. Dr. Kouyoumjian (Dr. K) is the BEST doctor around. I have had two total knee replacements, and both have worked out amazingly well. I first went to Dr. K to just help me not have pain, I could barely walk, but I didn't want surgery. Dr. K did everything he could to help me walk without pain and not have surgery. But my knees were so bad I realized I had to have my first knee replaced. Dr. K did the surgery, and, in a few months, I was walking so well with no pain, there were days I even forgot I had a knee replacement. Then my other knee had to be replaced, and again Dr. K did an amazing job!! He is really the best doctor he was so patient and supportive with me when I didn't want surgery. But when I finally decided to have surgery, he is the best surgeon!! Really, I can't say enough good things about Dr. K and his entire staff. They are all so wonderful!! I went here after my worthless GP referral for what was obviously sciatica (pain in hip that radiated down my left leg) I want to tell anybody that before you give a dime to any of these billable hours wh0res that if you have similar symptoms, try moving your wallet from your hip pocket to a front pocket and after 3 weeks you should notice a difference. I saw no less than 3 different PHDs and not one of them even asked about "wallet syndrome". X-rays, steroids, more appointments. Can you say billable hours? Tell them about your emotions too, I am sure they have a pill for that. Since moving my wallet, less than 3 weeks later I am pain free. If you have an older person in your life that hates the doctor, this is why. They are tired of getting screwed. A-holes!!! read more

I've been to this place for numerous sports injuries for not just myself but my whole family over the past two years. We have ALWAYS had great experiences, and I am so grateful for all of the doctors here. Just today I was in to see Dr Meyers for a knee injury. My appointment was on time and everyone I interacted with was so professional. They conveniently offer on site imaging, and I'm going back this week for an MRI. I felt compelled to write this review when I noticed they don't have 5 stars! I was shocked!! And as I suspected the negative reviews seem to be geared towards insurance/billing troubles and someone irritated they had trouble making an appointment, which is odd. I've called in the past and they've squeezed me in on the same day!!!! I guess you can't please everyone though. The doctors here are absolutely the BEST. And that is what counts. I called for an appointment with Dr. Guess whom I've seen before and was told he had a 3:15 cancellation for the next day so I accepted. I arrived for my appointment y 15 minutes early at 3:00 pm. I was called back to a room at 3:50. I explained my reason for the visit and provided a copy of my CT scan from the hospital and waited. By 4:50 I could wait no longer. I walked out and asked for my disc back and was told it was not done and the doctor would be with me shortly. I advised I had a 3:15 appt. And it was 4:50. A gentlemen I am not familiar with asked if I was told the doctor was working me in. I said no. Who was to tell me that and why? His PA, Kari was sitting there eating a bag of chips and did not say anything. I am very disappointed with this office staff. I would have expected better communication and will not return to see Dr Guess in the future. I am very disappointed. read more

Dr. Allmon and his staff are excellent! They, literally, turned a disaster into an inconvenience. I'm am right-handed and my right arm was broken in a car accident. The ER was unable to stabilize it and said I needed surgery on it. Due to the expense, I needed the at-fault driver's insurance to pay for it. After waiting 9 days, with a broken arm, I was advised to use my personal medical insurance. I called OrthoTexas Carrollton in the morning to request an appointment for an evaluation. That same afternoon, Dr. Allmon had completed the surgery I needed. It is healing perfectly. In less than a month, I could use my right arm. What a life-saver! Dr Fagelman and the entire staff at Ortho Texas was wonderful. My son broke his arm at a skate park, the office went out of their way to fit him in that day, take amazing care of him and treated us with such care and respect. They were so organized, every person we can I to contact with, was kind and caring. Dr Fagelman had the kindest nature about him, was extremely reassuring to my son, took the time to explain what all was broken, the best treatment options and how to care for it so it would heal the fastest. I cannot recommend this office more! Great experience. As he was getting his cast on, It was fun hearing many patients come in and say how they same guy in the casting area had treated their children and even themselves as children. I must be specific here. I went to see Dr. Sethi for back pain, and she is fantastic! A quick diagnosis, and a couple steroid shots, and I was good to go. The problem is the staff the surrounds OrthoTexas and Dr. Sethi, specifically checking out (waiting in the lobby hallway), and getting scheduled for surgery (no call back after (3) messages with scheduling). She was ready go with my treatment, and I was ready to pull the trigger (I was in a lot of pain), but I couldn't get the girl who schedules the outpatient surgery to call me back. I actually had to call Dr. Sethi and ask her to please have scheduling call me. (Pathetic from a business perspective) I therefore missed an early morning appointment the next morning, and had to wait another day. Surgery was a breeze, after a 3 hour delay.....oh well....I loved Dr. Sethi....have developed a recent shoulder problem, but can't go back to her for the reasons I mentioned. Also of note...In order to get a simple pain med subscription I had to take a mandatory drug test prior to the subscription being written. I peed in a cup and was billed $1200....only $400 was covered by insurance. Another reason I can't go back. It's too bad that Dr. Sethi is surrounded by these pitfalls. Been waiting an hour and a half to see the doctor. I'm definitely going to find someone else for my surgery, this is terrible.

I saw Dr. Charles Neagle for wrist pain. Several few weeks later he performed surgery to remove torn cartilage resulting from a fall. After several weeks in various casts, the casts were removed and the pain in my wrist was much better, but I could not bend the joints in my thumb and forefinger! At no time while I was in casts did clinic personnel The neurologist at the clinic did extensive tests and diagnosed nerve damage as causing the paralysis. . I also had pain in my forearm from where the cast had pressed on my arm. Dr. Neagle at first denied that the casts had been too tight on my arm and then blamed me for trying to move my arm with the cast on my wrist. Not only did he deny that the too tight casts were to blame for my inability to fully bend my fingers, but did not offer to correct the problem. After months in therapy without improvement in the function of my hand, I went to a hand surgeon recommended by my GP, who found that I not only had scar tissue in my arm obstructing the nerves in my hand from the too tight casts, but my wrist was still painful. After this new surgeon performed surgery on the inside of my arm to remove the scar tissue, more movement and feeling returned to my forefinger and thumb. Although I asked Dr. Neagle for reimbursement to help cover the additional expense from the second surgery required to restore feeling and movement to my fingers, he refused and never admitted that he and his clinic were to blame for the paralysis. I don't know about the other surgeons at Ortho Texas, but would advise you to stay away from Dr. Neagle due to his arrogance, lack of professionalism, and lack of surgical and treatment skills. You don't want to have to end up having another surgery to correct his mistakes! read more

I had a major car injury in Jan 2016 and have been coming to Ortho Texas for the last 7 months. The reception staff is super friendly and helpful and know me by name. You are always taken in within 5 or 10 minutes of your appointment. Both Dr. Heier and Dr. Myers were amazing. Very knowledgeable and spent plenty of time answering my questions. i would not recommend this office as my experience was horrible. i arrived at my appointment on time, 3 and half hours later, and then after waiting in the patient room for and hour and a half, the doctor came in, spent less than 5 minutes, did not review the xray or knew an xray was taken, was supposed to schedule an MRI, an after 3 follow ups on my part, the MRI never got scheduled. I was forced to go to another doctor. Of course then charged me for this terrible patient care. I wish i had a different experience and this is the first review i have ever written, but Doctors and their staff need to be held to the same standard or higher for the costs they charge for service. i can't think of any where else where a company would get a way with this kind of poor performance and then have the arrogance to charge the consumer for services not rendered. I'm sure the doctor is good at his craft, unfortunately, i can only express total dissatisfaction. the doctor takes an oath to be a patient advocate first, and not a driver of revenue. when they do not provide good patient care, they should then step up and be an patient advocate and not charge a fee. this office offered a 20% discount on the bill, so i guess that is what i was worth to them, $26. read more

I especially like Chelsea's professionalism and knowledge, along with Natasha her assistant. I only signed up for Yelp so I could write this review. 90 minute wait time and seeing a doctor that literally did not know anything about my back pain. She didn't care, at all. No introduction of herself, no apology for the wait. Literally a "I don't know what to tell you" to all of MY questions. I wouldn't even recommend my enemies to see her. Please get a proper referral from your primary care doctor and see a DECENT doctor. No, I don't expect doctors to be God-sent and know every little detail about why I'm having pain. But basic knowledge should be expected. Just because someone has a fancy degree doesn't mean anything. I learned more on Wikipedia and WebMD. Making an appointment is a joke, have to leave a message and hope someone calls you back. Was on hold for twenty three minutes on one call and was then informed I was talking to an answering service. An escalating series of procedures designed to extract as many dollars as possible for the facility. Hour waits are the norm, After over $1,000 out of pocket for co-pays with no help I went somewhere else. I had been to OrthoTexas for arthritis in my knees in the past. Recently, I fell in a parking lot and slammed my knee to the ground. I waited a day to see if the swelling would go down. When it didn't and I couldn't walk on it, I called at 8:30a on a Friday morning to go in for an x-ray, explained the situation and asked for an appt that day. I didn't know if I had possibly broken something or not and they had all my records from all of my previous appts there. First, I sat on hold for 12 mins. The first girl took all the info, said let me look and put me on hold. Another girl picked up and asked what was going on. I tell her the story and she transfers me to the front for scheduling. No one ever picks up and I just sat and waited. Finally, I hang up and call back. I call back and am on hold for about 5 mins. I tell my story again, explain that I can barely walk, ask for an appt that day and she tells me that the soonest I can get it in on Monday. Again, I say, but I cannot walk. She says that's the best she can do. She doesn't check to see if my dr can work me in. I tell her that I guess I will go somewhere else then because I couldn't wait until Monday and she HANGS UP!! For a customer service business, their customer service sucks! This is their front line and first impression! If this is how they treat patients who call in, then who knows how they will treat you once you are inside! 10/14 - A follow up.... if you right a poor review on OrthoTexas, do you think they call to follow up? This is the second time in two years that I left the office without being seen for my scheduled appointment. Last week, I arrive 30 minutes early as required - with all my documents completed in advance. Thirty minutes AFTER the scheduled beginning, my file was still sitting on the counter. Thirty minutes more (now 1 hour and 20 minutes after arriving) I was told Dr. Guess was still busy with another patient. Meanwhile, the entire room of about 20 people had cleared out. Not only did no one inform me of the delay, but there was no follow-up by anyone to ask why I had left. As a matter of fact, no one asked me on my way out if I wanted to re-schedule. No communication whatsoever. I'm done with Ortho Texas - and I live literally just across the street from their office. PATHETIC. Obviously, at some point, a business just has a desperate captive audience (clients) and "its just business - nothing personal, mind you." Dr. Neagle looked at my arm/hand for two minutes started talking about surgery, when I said I wasn't ready for surgery he abruptly left the room a few minutes later a woman came in and literally threw a brace on my wrist pulled two straps and said "If hand gets numb loosen it" and left. I had to ask if we were finished then to top it off they billed my insurance $212.00 just for the brace! Insurance paid everything but $115.03 of the brace which I found exact one for retail $40.00. I called was told to send appeal letter which I did, I checked in twice with them for next 12 months each time was told they were reviewing and would contact me when finished reviewing, now I get letter, a year later, they are going to send it to collections. I called and was told since I had brace for a year that I had to pay for it! I am still waiting for someone of authority to contact me since I had been waiting a year for a response to my appeal and no one ever gave me any options or a time limit, by the way I now found out that two of the three people I spoke with during the year were the supervisors that now I waiting on again to contact me. Ridiculous treatment and ridiculous price gouging if you don't want surgery. Will never return and suggest you don't go either, don't get me started on wait times. read more
