bought a matching set being a midea washer and dryer. from day one the washing machine was defective, a second unit was sent again worse then the first one. now the dryer starts to act up service rep unable to fix all screw heads have been over torque. Midea goes ahead and issues a check for both units. Now Orville will not refund me the 99$ delivery fees (quote not our fault it was defective no refund will be given) Yet Orville is not an authorized dealer to sell this product nor are they authorized to service the units. Midea called in a different repair company. I can't even give them a one star rating. There's no problem with them taking your money but they don't give a damn to take care of a customer. I will never go to Orville again an you bet your last dollar every person I meet I will let them know just how bad Orville is. Their OP store manager is useless along with there customer service in the service department. I will be filing a formal complaint with the BB bureau a long with the attorney general for misrepresentation to the customer. the star shows not good it should read beware poor business practices by this company. Recently I have purchased a garage refrigerator and it is the best one that I have ever had . The salesman sold me a counter depth refrig, i LOST SO MUCH SPACE i NEED TO BUY A SECOND REFRIG, I did not have the number of cubic feet but the salesman should have had enough knowledge to know that the machine he sold me had so much less cubic feet, The machine was $2,000 not the most expensive but not cheap either. We purchased a dishwasher from Orvilles about 2 weeks ago. Including installation and delivery it was about $900.00. Yesterday, it was delivered. The installer (Mark) hooked the Dishwasher up and THEN showed my wife the damage to the door. He stated that we had two options...1-receive a 50$ damage payment and call it even or 2- call the store and they will send someone out to replace it. We refused the payment and called the store. They then informed us that all GE products need to be handled by GE directly and we were responsible for this. I called this am and spoke to Mike ( employee of the year). He informed me that the information above is correct and that's the process. I was also told we were offered the option to have that unit returned to the store before it was installed and we refused this (obviously not true). I tried to explain to him that the process is broken and the customer shouldn't be responsible for calling GE and making arrangements for a product that arrives damaged. His response was " oh ok I can go in and make a request on your behalf." Mike almost saved the day and I was moments from thanking him when he then said, " haha I usually only do this for someone whos 90 and cant do it for themselves." I thanked Mike for his time and hung up. Summary: Mark (installer) isn't very good/bright. Mike is a bit of a pretentious prick and will likely be job hopping low level jobs for the rest of his career. We really lost faith in Orville's and we wont be shopping there again! read more

I bought 5 appliances from this location in the last month. With the first delivery the delivery guys adjusted the door swing direction on my refrigerator as part of my delivery and set up. When I purchased my washer and dryer a few weeks later, the delivery guys (this time was sub contracted moving company not Orville's delivery staff) left without adjusting the dryer door swing. I contacted the store and they told me it would require a service technician at an additional cost of $75. Not a great way to treat a customer that just purchased 5 appliances from you. read more

To shorten a long drawn out store of totally uninformed sales person , a manager who clearly needed some caffeine he really needed more sleep i think ...the 3rd party installer level of ineptitude was beyond comprehension... Where do I start. Bought a new washer and dryer. I wanted to upgrade the old ones. There was nothing wrong with them, they were older and wanted to upgrade. Planned on selling the old to offset the cost of the new, win, win. One would think. The people who installed the new ones were suppose to move the old ones to the garage. Well, they took them to the truck to remove. When the error was recognized, they lifted the old washing machine by the door and broke the door. It would not even close. When we called to let them know what happen, they said it was like that. And we were lying about it. We are still getting the run around about this and have a broken washing machine in the garage. Then, a week later the new washing machine stopped working. We called to get that fixed. They told us we had to call the company and that they're service people were too busy. So, we have two broken washing machines. The attitude from the company was nothing but contempt. They got their money and could care less about the product or service they deliver. In October 2020, I purchased a Frigidaire double wall oven unit. One month later we had our first of 3 repair calls for an F45 error code. Orvilles has done nothing to help solve this issue. Their response is you have to call the manufacturer. We have had the fan & control panel replaced , and 2 weeks later still have F45. Orvilles is quick to sell you an appliance, but you are on your own if there is a problem. Not exactly the customer service you deserve when spending thousands of dollars. I will never purchase another appliance from them, nor will I recommend them. read more

It was delivered to the store damaged & no one called me to discuss this issue till 2 weeks later when I called to check on delivery. I decided to buy a different fridge instead of waiting for a new one. It was delivered 9/17/21, with 2 damaged doors. Just about 1 year later now, I'm still waiting for the replacement doors. What the hell!!! I've just been told to call back in 4-6 weeks to see if they have doors to give me. The customer service is awful. This is the third time that something is wrong with my LG dishwasher. This time it doesn't dry the dishes. My husband has called them to send a repairman out, and he was told that they will get back to him. this was 3 days ago, and now we just get a recording to hold on and then get disconnected after about 10 minutes on hold. I don't know what has happened to Orvilles' service. It used to be the best. Now after finally getting in touch with them, you have to wait weeks for a technician to come out to fix it. AVOID AVOID AVOID! If your washer breaks down, even if it's under warranty, they WILL NOT help you with replacing old washer with a new one unless you pay for a plumber to fix anything so it doesn't spill on them. Poor babies! They won't drain it or even attempt to touch it. IMAGINE IF YOU WERE AN ELDERY PERSON. Are you supposed to kick it over and hope that the washer goes into the drain or something? The reason their customer service is so bad is because they use NEW LEAF warranty and repair service, who WILL NOT HONOR store credit at Orville's' unless it's an exact match to another product. This means that it most cases they WILL NOT REPAIR YOUR WASHER, but instead offer you a new one in exchange. Sounds good, right? WRONG. A new one just like it is $200 more! So they force you to go with a cheaper one instead. TOTAL SCAM. I was a loyal customer since the early 2000s and who ever runs customer service has NO SYMPATHY for you and will simply say, "Unfortunately..." over and over again. They don't even counteroffer something to keep you. Definitely shopping with the big guys like Best Buy from now on--small business aren't going out of business from Covid: it's this kind of nonsense. AVOID. read more

For all the people that have purchased an LG appliance. There are bascially no repair businesses in the southtowns that repair this brand. Many have said they do not because of LG's lack of ability to supply parts in less than a few weeks. In addition, Orville's would not provide me service (in Gowanda, NY) and said I needed to call the company. I have to disagree with the 1 star review I read on here. I was apprehensive about purchasing from this Orville's based on that and I'm glad I didn't let it affect my decision. I have made two major purchases from here. 1. LG Fridge - Side by Side Stainless. It was delivered promptly, the guys were very courteous and on-time to the time-frame they gave me. They also have delivery available on Saturday & Sunday which is nice when you work during the week. I did not purchase an extended warranty, so I cannot speak to that. I did however start getting an error code after they left and called Orvilles back. They sent someone either next day or within 2 days - I can't remember and they had it taken care of in a half hour. (A wire had come off in assembly from one of the circuit boards causing an error) 2. Electrolux Induction Stove - I made the decision to purchase this from another retailer similar to Orvilles (but in Missouri - Goedeckers) - based on pricing. It took them 3 weeks to ship, it arrived horribly damaged and was a huge hassle to get returned and credited. I ended up looking at Orville's website and they had (1) left of the exact same model for only $50 more. I called to ensure it was in stock and it was - arrived the next day and paid in-store. They delivered within a couple days. Again, the guys were on-time, courteous and prompt. I would absolutely recommend this Orville's to anyone looking. They will match prices and if you're buying a few things you can usually "haggle" a bit. A+! read more

ABC's of doing business with this location: A - Ask if their Service Department will help you if you have a problem. They didn't help me because appliance (washing machine) was still under warranty . Dealing with th e manufacturer has been an absolute nightmare . Long calls , FOUR visits by contracted service and appliance still not working properly! This retailer has been unwilling to give me any credit towards the "lemon" of the appliance they sold me. B - Beware when thinking that just because this retailer has their own Service Department - they will assist you. You are apparently on your own to deal directly with the manufacturer. C - Consider buying an American made appliance - specifically washing machine. Dealing with the manufacturer representatives was frustrating because poor english and they put you on hold a lot. D - Don't bother trying to get a refund/credit exchange- the arrogant manager was not too interested in listening or helping. As I told him , I purchased from Orvilles NOT the manufacturer and THEY need to deal with them not me! The GM will not return my call - so I'm on my own - next time , I'll just buy on-line . read more

Very aggravated with their install process. I purchased a 36-inch special order stove from the Orchard Park Store. I should have known that this was not the place to go because when we wanted to order the stove they did not even come over to talk to us despite us waiting to talk to someone. Finally, as we were getting ready to walk out in discussed they came over to talk to us. We ordered the stove and a few days later we went in to pay and they had the wrong amount and wrong model so it had to be adjusted. The stove took about four weeks to come in. The price was over $4K after taxes. The guys they sent out did not know how to install the regulator that came with the stove. I informed them there was a regulator already on the gas line in the basement that the previous owner had for a similar stove. They sent a second install guy out to install the new regulator. He elected to install the new regulator while leaving the old regulator in place believing it would not be an issue. Within two days the stove stopped working. Called Orville's and it took them several days to get back to me and send someone out. When the third install guy arrives, he informs us there is nothing they can do and to call a plumber to remove the old regulator. I asked why the old regulator could not be swapped out with the new and they said they don't do that. They did say they have a special service department that handles this but it would an extra $175 and would not be resolved until after the new year meaning I would have no stove for two weeks through Christmas. I brought all these issues to their attention from the very beginning of the install and they just choose to ignore you like you have no idea what you're talking about. Was immediately told we can't help you... here is the parts store number. Really, how about let me call our parts store for you. Ok, fine, then I asked for more info on an electric cooktop. I was escorted there by a young woman, chewing gum quite loudly and was told this is what we have in store, but you can look online. Why are your salespeople there? I can look online from home. Terrible customer service!! I bought a refrigerator September 4 with delivery to be set up with in a week..almost 3 weeks later and still I have no product. When I called to ask about the product I was always given an excuse for truck delays and when I spoke to them today they said they have no ETA on delivery and my choice was to pick another or get my money back...so basically they were selling a product they don't have any inventory on in the first place. The staff was always rude and offered no compensation for time delay. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in April of 2018 along with an extended warranty. On November 1st I noticed the ice maker was no longer making ice. I contacted New Leaf, the warranty company and they explained that if it was something other than mechanical I would be charged for the service call, they suggested that I change the water filter. I did and still no ice. I called again and on the 16th of November a service call was set up in their system, I was to get a call within 24 hours to set up a time, I tried calling day after day and got the run around finally 5 days later I got through to the service department and they told me they would have to see if the warranty company would accept it. With each person I spoke to I shared my frustration and it fell on deaf ears. I asked to speak to management and NEVER got a call back. On December 3rd I spoke to 3 different people and the last person I spoke to hung up on me. 2 hours later I got a call from a gentleman that said the warranty company would not service me because I was rude and gave me directions on how to get the service done myself and they may or may not reimburse me. That same day I called again and finally got someone who understood my frustration and set up a service call. I took the day off of work, he tried a few things and said "your ice maker is not working". He had to order a part he came the next day I called and they back installed the part and said 85% of the time ice will flow by evening, no ice. I called the next morning and they now have to order another part and come back on January 7th. so the saga continues... This process is a joke and totally unacceptable. 2 months without an ice maker, 2 days off of work not to mention the hours on the phone waiting for answers. STAY away fro Orvilles!!! To make a long story short, we were having issues with dryer we bought: Orvilles delivered new one on a Sunday. We were still having issues, went to the store and store manager, Bob M. followed us back to our home to resolve issue. Now that's great customer service. We will buy all appliances there. read more

Extremely disappointed in their appliance warranty service. Purchased extended warranty at time of purchase (2016) for $3000 refrigerator. Fridge crapped out on Sunday. Called first thing Monday. Can't send someone until Friday! Friday comes, and they have to order parts. Will be another week! Meanwhile, two weeks in (at least) and we have bought a secondary freezer, a ton of ice for coolers, and thrown away a lot of food. 2 weeks plus for service, with no relief, when you buy the extra warranty is unacceptable. Orvilles said our check would take 7 days to clear, 7 day hold on our purchase. Orvilles, this is 2015, get it together! Wasted our time.

They sold us a damaged fridge and said someone would come out and switch out the dented door when the parts came in. Received a post card a full month later saying that the parts are in. I called to make an "appointment", they only tell you what day they are available next and then they will call you that morning with a time window... So you just have to be available for the entire day. It's not my fault that they sold me a damaged fridge but they expect me to take an entire day off of work for them to fix their mistake. I even offered to pick up the new door myself, they said that i would be free to do so but it would completely void my warranty. I called and i emailed two separate departments explaining my situation, never received a response. They clearly don't care and i waited so long for the part to come in, the return window is now closed. So i will be living with my damaged fridge, thank you for nothing Orvilles. read more
