My husband and I purchased a microwave oven in 2018. We purchase a New Leaf Warranty on the same day 11/24/18. When it was delivered it was too big for our space. We went back to store and bought a low profile microwave. It got delivered on12/17/18. Warranty expired 5 years later. We were supposed to get 50% back of the 119.00 plan. We did not get any money back. I called and spoke to several people at New Leaf. E mails went back and forth. They went by the date of purchase not date of delivery! Therefore, I had no microwave to cover until 12/17/18!!! I asked for help from Orvilles in person and on the phone. They will not help. I feel cheated and have lost confidence with Orvilles. Buyer beware! Installation department is sloppy and in the realm of reckless. Purchased a new gas cooktop. Took old one out and just dropped the new one in the opening. It was not secured and moved with hot items on the stove. Tremendous risk of injury and fire. They now have to come back and do the job again. By the way, I paid extra for the installation. Husband and I were super glad that we swung by this place. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by one of the employees who introduced us to their deals. We got a chance to look around and found that they have really good deals on appliances here. They will also match prices that are lower from other stores (e.g. Home Depot). I purchased dishwasher, refrigerator. microwave and oven a little over 5 yrs. ago for my home (I also purchased the same for another house in Machias a little over 2 yrs. ago) Immediately I had issues with the dishwasher not draining and dishes not drying. A service tech was sent out (who was not very friendly) he proceeded to tell me that i needed to prop the dishwasher door open when done for dishes to dry. I continued having problems with it not draining, the same tech came back and told me the hose was too long and the dishwasher was too far from the sink. No solution was made, dishwasher would not drain or drained slowly. We lived with this for several yrs. hardly using it due to it usually only getting half way through the cycle than beeping shutting off. Well, it died, and we decided to buy another one. When the tech came, he was surprised we were getting a new one because the existing one looked new, when he pulled the old one out, low and behold it had a severely kinked hose, and in his words "here's your problem". The original installer kinked the hose during the install and the service tech that came back 2 times never pulled the dishwasher out to check it. Now I am out an additional 952.00 All because of a poor installation and a service tech that couldn't be bothered to check for the real issue. I have had the buck passed from store to service dept. to service manager and no none seems to care. I have left a voicemail with the service mgr. and sent an email through their customer service dept. and after several weeks have not received a return call. I guess their way of handling issues is to ignore you until you go away. I have spent thousands with Orvilles and i expect better customer service and care than i have received. read more

We had a dishwasher delivered to our house and it was a series of bad events. The delivery men arrived several hours past the estimated window, the dishwasher is missing a piece that was supposed to have come with it, there was plastic packaging stuck underneath the screws which cannot be removed with normal tools and the delivery people broke our front screen door. Upon bringing this to the attention of the store and service department they will take no accountability whatsoever, stated the missing piece and plastic were the manufacturer's fault and customer responsibility and claimed that our broken door was pre-existing (It definitely was not). It opened and closed properly immediately prior to the delivery men arriving, and it now hangs crooked. I do not appreciate, respect or endorse a company that dismisses a customer's concerns and refuses to own up to their employees' destruction of a homeowner's property. After calling the store, they told me no one can come to service it for over a week. This is extremely disappointing. I asked if a manager could call me and left my number. Bought stove from this place 8/11 delievered 8/16 is a "smart" stove. Oven worked for about 1 week and now takes no command imputs. Service looked at it 9/1 was able to do nothing but order a new board will take another week. In mean time no oven use. Will not exchange it as the said, only sell Samsung product up to them to exchange. Called Samsung and was told I had to wait until service replaced part in attempt to fix before exchange decision made. In mean time stove does what it want, it will even say "self clean" and can't be cancelled. Cost $800 to do virtually nothing but stovetop. I ordered a fridge here over Labor Day. Prices were in line with any other appliance store. What really impressed me was the delivery. I just purchased a new home with all hardwood floor. The fridge we bought was almost too big to come through the front door. The gentlemen who delivered my fridge took such care when getting my fridge through the door and was very careful when moving it along the hardwood. I have no idea why this location has so many negative reviews. My husband and I had an exceptional experience here at this location. We had first purchased our Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot. Set up delivery and when they came out to install it the technician walks in our kitchen and flat out says I can't do it! I'm like huh? Why? This is like the most basic installation ever? He kept saying "copper..copper" uhh ok bruh LOL. I was so upset I refused delivery, he called his boss to speak with me and she says "mam you need a plumber". I ask why? She offers no reason why just says you need a plumber. I said take the dishwasher and go. In a few days we go to Orvilles In Depew. We walk in and were greeted with kindness and told about all of the sales. They had The same Maytag dishwasher that we wanted. Delivery was set up and they were out in 2 days! Opposed to Home depots 3 week wait just to be told "copper" LOL. The Orville tech comes in and says oh this is an easy one. I go really? Because Home Depot said they were unable to do it because of Copper lol. He then goes man if they can get out of work that easy I need to go work for Home Depot LOL. When the Home Depot kitchen department couldn't get me a suite of appliances delivered under 2 weeks, they quietly pointed me to Orville's. (Shhhhhh, good prices, in-stock appliances!) What's good? Sure enough, I popped in and had a very knowledgeable sales lady weigh the pros and con's of each and every model for me. I ended up getting a suite of appliances for 35% less than Home Depot and Lowes, and had the first item delivered 2 days later..... What's not so good? You get an automated call at 730am to tell you when your delivery can be expected. That would normally be a good thing if the delivery was actually in that time slot. By the time my item was delivered, the driver told me my item was COD. I told him I had paid for it already, and showed him my receipt. The next thing I knew, he had his assistant hovering over the item, as if I was going to hijack the shipment. Meanwhile, the driver called and worked through a phone tree to find out if the item had been paid for or not. My receipt meant nothing to him. Finally, with the 3 of us standing around uncomfortably as he was on hold for a few minutes, he got through to someone at their office who did indeed verify that I had paid for the item. The driver signalled to his assistant to let go of the box, and after taking photos of the box, its barcode and serial number, they left. I don't know if Orville's have had people stiff them in the past over purchases, but there's something off with their system when a receipt means nothing and a driver has to call in to verify an order. Went there a month ago and bought a washer, dryer, and a refrigerator. Prices were good and they were able to deliver the next day. We the appliances arrived the refrigerator was scratched, had rust spots, and had a hole in the door. They did not have anymore of the same model so I had to go back to the store and pick out another one. Now after a month the dryer is not producing heat. I called the service line and waited on hold for awhile. Spoke with the representative. They told me it would take over a week just to get out to see what was wrong. I am always willing to except a mistake and the dryer going is more the manufacturers problem but both of these things really annoy me. After spending all that money with them, the fridge being messed up, the dryer breaking down, and it being a week until the can fix it really ruins my experience with Orville's. We purchased a brand new refrigerator 6 months ago. Right off the bat, it didn't make ice. Someone from maintenance finally came to fix the issue. The following day, we came home to find that our entire fridge had spoiled, food wasted- stunk up the entire house. Maintenance returned to replace a part, still no luck. This same occurrence happened five times within the last five months and we have been without a kitchen fridge. They will not take back the fridge or give us a new one. They have no idea which part doesn't work so they are running on trial and error. Each time they schedule a visit they give us a five hour window of when they might arrive. We have wasted hundreds of dollars of food and sacrificed 30+ hour of our time waiting for maintenance. They have not compensated us in any way and still no working refrigerator in our kitchen. After purchasing our washer with ease, the customer service thereafter was less than desirable. Called the store twice before delivery to speak with the person who sold our washer to us and that person never got back to us, despite our number being taken down with person on phone. After delivery, our machine had issues and when we called to address these issues, we were placed on hold 4-5 times and asked what our phone number was by 4-5 different people while being transferred to several different departments. We had the machine less than 24 hours and 4 days later still were never contacted by store manager, Jeff, who I asked to speak with, but he wasn't in yet. Again, our phone number was taken. A serviceman was sent out the day after delivery and the issue was resolved. The customer service needs major improving. read more

Incredibly knowledgeable staff - walked in on a Saturday, immediately got helped and filled with knowledge I didn't know I needed but was sooo glad I did. My salesman was sharp and patient and gave me a deal I couldn't walk away from. He cared about my situation. Terrible Terrible company. THEY SELL YOU BS WARRANTIES AND DON'T STAND BY THEIR CUSTOMERS. I bought a Whirlpool washer in 2013 with the 5 year extended warranty. Well the inside of the washer is rusting due to the enamel coming off. Apparently being able to wash your clothing without getting rust stains on them is considered COSMETIC and of course is not covered under the warranty. Mind you the warranty cost almost 50% of the price of the washer. So basically you are only covered if you have a catastrophic break down. They may be good to start with but they are 100% absent when something goes wrong. See other reviews that say the same thing. read more

I bought a refrigerator 4 years ago. I also bought a warranty. The ice maker has been fixed 3 times. The refrigerator and freezer have become warm, spoiling all my food twice now. Repair service is terrible. You wait a week to get an appointment then they figure out what is wrong and order a part which takes a week then they call to schedule another appointment which takes a week. They don't tell you what time they will show until the appointment day so be prepared to take off from work. It takes 3 weeks to get it fixed! So yesterday when my frig and freezer became warm and spoiled all my food again I decided instead of waiting for 3 weeks with no appliance (it is still under warranty) I will go to Lowe's and get a new appliance so I don't have to deal with this frig or Orville's service ever again! If I had more time I would write about my dishwasher that I purchased at the same time. It has been fixed 7 times for the same problem over and over and each time it took 2 to 3 weeks to get fixed. I guess you should go here if you want to spend your hard earned money on an unreliable appliance and have a terrible experience everytime it needs to be fixed. read more

Worst experience I have had. Bought a new well scratch and dent French door refrigerator. The only issue with the fridge was a dent on the back corner that no one will ever see. So hey why not a great deal right. Well when ringing us out it never dawned on us when the sales man said I wonder why the original customer didn't take the credit for the dent. Well we know why the fridge didn't work as well. Delivery guys plugged it in and the error messages where to many to count. So we went back to the store to get a new fridge same model. Well after about 30 seconds I realized that they looked at us like second class people because we where trying to get a deal on a fridge by buying a dented one. After the manager argued with me that we don't deserve a new fridge at the same price since we bought a dented one looking for a deal. Well Scott we went down the street to a competitor of yours and explained the situation and they where more then happy to get us a new fridge and we also upgraded to a nicer model and where able to spend the same amount. I wouldn't trust any of there employees. If you do by a scratch and dent make them plug it in before you buy it. Clearly they say they don't sell things that don't work but they do. read more
