First off I love that I was able to come in and watch football on Sunday morning while I ate my meal! The service was quick once the order was taken! It's small on the inside so I didn't want to stay for very long but the food was spectacular! I like my home fries well done and nobody else very accomplishes that and Oryz Family Restaurant freaking nailed it!!! I will definitely be returning!!

After voting today my husband surprised me with taking me to breakfast. We've heard great things and have been wanting to come here for a long time. I decided it was a cheat day and went with the French toast combo (fried egg and bacon on the side) and my husband went with a meat lovers omelet and a pancake side. I Really enjoyed my food! The service was great (I believe his name was Greg). This is a true hidden gem in Hemet. The vibe here though y'all, the vibe. I would explain it like Mel's diner meets Cheers without the alcohol at Alice's. You have to be old to get that LOL. I will definitely come back again. Thanks for a great cheat day and not judging how much powdered sugar I asked for...

Oryz is the Vibe. Graphic made by a very grateful reviewer, me. Super chill brunch.

Oryz is the Vibe. ORYZ is the VIBE::::::::::::::::::::: Thematically, can one ask for anything better than ironic kitchen rooster art and tchotchkes? I mean, the collection the momma has there is ridonculous and joyful. I want to paint a rooster on canvas and bring it to them pro bono. The dad cooks a mean short order. His Chilaquiles are bomb (as a GenXer I usually omit that adjective from my vocab.) But it is pure fire, as is the total chillax atmosphere. Go try everything for breakfast and everything for lunch. Service is superb, especially from the son. You can tell they truly care! There's a dry erase board with the daily quote that is your reflection for the day. Portions are big and what a great value! I think they need to raise their prices, but so grateful if they continue offering such a good deal. Try not to be hypnotized by the roosters.

You know when it's a whole in the wall diner that's been there since the Cold War, they are doing it right. I ordered the patty melt. Came with shoestring fries. It didn't disappoint. Not one bit. Ordered it with a bucket sized iced tea. Service was friendly, to the point and pleasant. Food came out fast. Prices are a tad less than other family diners in the area. Added this to my "good for work lunch" list. I recommend!

Philly Sandwich, potato salad, & fruit. Also the ground turkey patty w/ hashbrowns & toast.

My go-to breakfast spot anytime I'm in town. The staff is excellent. Always kind and welcoming. The place itself feels very homey. I'm a sucker for their sandwiches and potato salad. Always made to perfection. Definitely recommend.

Brisket and cheddar sandwich ($16.95): this brisket is exactly how it should be, as it was seasoned, tender, and requires only a little effort to chew since it was tender. The caramelized onions and gooey cheese went well with the brisket and the buttered toast, 5/5 stars! Large size of mac and cheese: one of the best I've had, as it was indulgent! The creamy cheese sauce was seasoned and just completely covered the tender macaroni, 5/5 stars! The service was efficient as you order at the counter and they provide your food in a timely manner, despite the constant arrival of patrons. I've noticed that the majority of orders were for take-out, but I had to dive into the food stat as soon as it was ready out of the kitchen.

They're both seasoned with a thick rub that packs serious flavor. The meat is incredibly tender and soft--just melts in your mouth. It's definitely on the pricier side, but the quality makes it worth it. Sides like the mac n cheese and baked beans were just okay--not bad, but nothing special. However, the Oreo dessert waffle totally stole the show. It was absolutely amazing and the perfect sweet finish. Highly recommend for BBQ lovers who appreciate bold flavor and tender meats.

I don't really ever write reviews but this is a really weird place…read more When we went, we ordered three horchatas, and when we were ordering the food, a family member wanted something off the kids menu since he didn't want something big, but the waitress told us "you can't order off the kids menu if you're not 10yrs or below", instead they would charge us for the adult version price even though it's a kids size, never heard of such a thing at any restaurant before. So my family member decided not to place an order because there was nothing else off the menu that my family member had interest in. After the waitress left with our other orders, my family member decided we should just pay for the drinks we received and leave due to this weird rule and the standoff, bordering rude tone the waitress had. We immediately told the waitress to cancel the order but she said "Well, they already started making the order in the back." Like I said she was very standoff-ish, her tone of voice/customer service could definitely use some major improvement. Then this older worker man from the back told her to let us go, then while my family member was paying for the drinks (which totaled $24 dollars for 3 drinks mind you) this other waitress came with cups to go, only because we asked for some, I do wonder if they would have even given us any if we didn't ask for any. And she immediately started gossiping with me and my other family member who were still seated at the booth. She said "See, the Sir doesn't understand that if you come to someone's house there's rules you have to follow, you don't come to someone's house expecting to have your way." I think she believed we were on their side of this situation, and it would have been a decent comparison and argument if we were at a house and not a restaurant. Overall, seems like the type of place to charge you for every little thing.

The burger was juicy, the fries were hot and crispy, and I even tried their bottled IBC Root Beer, which was served ice cold and was so refreshing. One of my favorite things about this restaurant was the atmosphere. It has that cozy, traditional American diner feel, and walking in you're greeted by a beautiful display of fresh pies that instantly makes you smile. I probably spent a few minutes just admiring all the different flavors before we even sat down! Our server was friendly, attentive, and always had a smile. The service made the whole experience even better. And yes... the pie was every bit as good as it looked. In fact, it was so good that I completely forgot to take a picture before I ate it!
