    Menu 5/28/25

I have been to this location twice now and both time service was exceptional! Really friendly staff and the owner came out to talk to the patrons. I ordered the gyros both times I visited because they were so good the first time. I have yet to order something new but I do want to try some of the sides next time. The falafel and hummus both look like good sides. The inside was clean and decorated appropriately. There is merchandise and a refrigerator if you want to purchase the special sauce. This is a must try location but be aware the menu is limited.

    Moroccan Chicken Bowl

My buddy and I came in tonight, looking for something different than Mexican or pizza and we found it. I ordered the classic gyro bowl with a drink, falafel (4) and pita w hummus; he ordered the Moroccan chicken bowl with falafel (4) and baklava - both came with yellow rice. My classic gyro bowl was fantastic - diced tomatoes and onions, yellow rice (best part of the meal, light, fluffy, great flavor), gyro meat (slight brownish crust on the outside, moist in the middle), golden sauce was on top. The two sides; falafel was moist with a light brown crust and went well with the tzatziki sauce (which was good too). The pita was moist, spongy goodness but the only mild disappointment was the hummus - it tasted flat. I tasted the chick peas and tahini but nothing else, even the olive oil that was on it seemed bland. It seemed too smooth to be handmade but that's just speculation on my part. My friend said his bowl was awesome though I didn't try it but he did recommend the Moroccan chicken and the baklava, both of which exceeded his expectations. We came in looking for something different and found a place we're going to frequent often. Loved it! 4.5/5 Highly recommend.

Food was delicious! I really enjoyed the rice that was included in the Falafel Platter. Very fast service, restaurant felt very clean.

    Shawarma and their special sauce.

Good food, the best is the Shawerma wrap! The staff is very friendly. A little overpriced but worth it.

I ordered the Lamb Gyro, yellow rice and falafel. I was very impressed by the flavor in the food and will definitely be back. It was delicious and smelled amazing on arrival!

One of the best gyros I've had in a long time. Had the chicken with no onions. Very personable owner. Worth a stop!

Terrible food and service. Would not recommend as the owner conducts himself in a way that is not conducive to repeat business.

The sandwich portions are generous and come with a small side portion and sliced pickles. The pulled pork comes without sauce and when we went, they only had spicy and blackberry sauce. As far as flavor, we agreed the pork was kinda dry but okay. I had the blackberry sauce, which I found runny and not so flavorful. My boyfriend had the spicy and said it was good, but the kick lingered in his mouth. My coleslaw was weak too. Overall, the location is perfect for this kind of meal. It's a reasonable price for what you get - sandwich, side, and drink. Probably great for local lunches, but we wouldn't go out of our way.

The meat has a great smokey flavor and is very tender. The baked beans have quickly become a favorite and the coleslaw is a close second. They offer huge sandwiches which include 6 oz. meat, one side and a drink for $7.50 or larger platters for around $11. They never keep me waiting long and they have many BBQ sauces to choose from including some interesting ones such as cherry habanero and blackberry. They are usually located around the corner of 7th Ave. and 44th St. in Marion behind Arnold's motor supply. So if you find yourself in the area around lunchtime it's definitely worth the stop!

Yes. Cheese? Also yes. Portion control? Absolutely not. And honestly? Respect. The Birria Tacos (aka post-workout happiness) These tacos are CRISPY. Like audible crunch. Golden, juicy, stuffed with slow-cooked beef that tastes like it's been marinating in flavor since 1997. And the consommé??? You dip it and suddenly you understand why people fall in love too fast. Served with: Mexican rice (carb loading but make it elite) Refried beans with melted cheese (fiber... we're calling it balance) A lime wedge for aesthetic health Would I eat this after leg day? Yes. Would I eat this before leg day? Also yes. The Smothered Burrito (aka the villain arc meal) It comes out sizzling like it's announcing its presence. Completely drowned in melted cheese. Sauce everywhere. Zero shame. You cut into it and it's just layers of juicy meat, sauce, and chaos. This is not a "cute little lunch." This is a "cancel your plans and commit" situation. Foodie Influencer Notes: Portions are HUGE (shareable but do you really want to?) Flavor is bold, rich, and comforting Not watered down, not bland, not pretending to be healthy This is real, messy, satisfying food Gym Girl Verdict: Is it high protein? Yes. Is it high calorie? Also yes. Is life about balance? Absolutely. You can meal prep chicken and rice all week... but sometimes you need birria dipped in consommé while telling yourself "this is for muscle growth." Final Rating: 9/10 - would absolutely earn this on the StairMaster again.

So, if you have a group I am sure they can accommodate. The margarita tasted a little like Mt Dew, so I guess you would say on the sweeter side. The chips were good tasted home made, and the salsa was also good, I have had better for my personal taste but it was still yummy. We had a chicken con polo (sp?) and it was good, again not our favorite in the area but still delicious and a generous portion. Staff was pleasant and I believe a manager or owner stopped by to see how we were doing which I felt was a nice touch. Good place to visit but not our regular Taco Tuesday venue.

The brisket was perfectly cooked: incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with natural flavor. What really stood out was the seasoning. It enhanced the meat without overpowering it, allowing the rich, smoky beef flavor to shine through with every bite. The customer service was just as impressive. Everyone was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the entire experience even more memorable. Outstanding food paired with exceptional hospitality is a rare combination - a gem hidden in Cedar Rapids. Highly recommend the place if you're ever in town.

Terri was with me this time and got the last burger they had as part of the Pulled Pork Burger so I tried one of the daily specials....a Cuban Salad Sandwich. Not quite sure what I was expecting but the sandwich wasn't what I was expecting. I'll describe it as a Cuban Egg Salad Sandwich...Cubanized by the pork and mustard it was a good sandwich but I was looking for more pork to be honest. I also ordered the Brisket Eggroll again and tried the Smoked Mac and Cheese this time...excellent choices! Terri enjoyed the Pulled Pork Burger as much as I did on my previous stop. She ordered the fried potatoes as a side and thought the addition of onions to it would be a good idea...I tried them and I concur, they were very good but the onion idea would put them over the top. We grabbed a 3 MEAT COMBO to go with Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, and Brisket as the main event and the fried potatoes, baked beans, and smoked mac and cheese for the sides. This will make for a great meal later and tomorrow which is also what I did on my first stop here a few weeks ago. We'll be back again as the food is delicious, the service is very friendly and accommodating and the ambiance of the place is very comfortable....when you get out of your vehicle and the business end of those two smokers hit your senses you know your in for a treat!
