I went there with family and friends two months ago and it was a good amount of food for the value. The lady at the register had to let the kitchen staff know not to add any butter or whatever things might have animal products. Today, I thought we could go there again. The person at the register and I had an obvious language barrier... but I have no idea why anyone would think it would be a good idea to put him on the register. I tried to ask if the noodles were vegan. He did not understand, but I tried to ask in another way. Didn't understand still. I told him I have allergies. He didn't seem to know what that was either. Every time I said something, he would nearly shout back and kept putting his head down and make a combination of growl and sigh sound like I was so frustrating and me asking simple questions was super inconvenient. We ended up walking out and not ordering. I would've preferred to eat there vs the Taco Bell I ended up with, but I will not give that place my business again. It was both frustrating and embarrassing to be treated like that for asking questions. They should've had someone at the register who is fluent in English and capable of providing customer service to patrons. read more

Tried to be understanding as it was an extremely busy Sunday afternoon at Osaka. But that doesn't mean your food should be flung on your table. Teriyaki chicken was fine, but hubby got sesame chicken....He kept asking what is this?!? He wasn't able to tell that it was chicken - just a strange, spongey, old tasting hunk of something. A young woman stopped me when going to my table randomly to ask if I personally would be okay with a piece of her steak. It was super rare (which I would be okay with) but she told the owner and he was a total jerk to her. The gentleman she was with also got the wrong meal and when he brought that up, the owner yelled at him too. I have been here multiple times and the same guy is always an asshole. I would give a zero if I could. I nicely asked how much longer because it was taking so long and the owner went off screaming and yelling at me in front of everyone including my grandkids. Terrible from the start. We were the first ones in when they opened. Never been there. Didn't know I had to order at the counter. Didn't get a hello, welcome, fu, or anything. That's ok. I understand since so many young people don't have manners now. I ordered the general tso chicken and spring rolls with fried rice. The fried rice was ok. The chicken was awful. Absolutely devoid of flavor. Most likely frozen but the sauce was a terrible also. Hated it. Didnt even eat it. Spring rolls, clearly frozen also. Crispy on the outside but mush on the inside. Couldn't even tell what the contents were. This was a terrible first and only experience. Plus, my wife couldn't even order because the the bathroom was so nasty. Strike 3. read more

Osaka is kinda like a subway hibachi. I had the steak and shrimp which was fast and delicious. The vegetables were cooked perfect. Cooked hot and fresh with a bottle of yum yum sauce on the table, this meal was great i cant wait to go back and try other dishes. read more

Yes, I am glad to write complimentary words about this new restaurant serving Japanese food in Cullman. We have lived in Japan so I know this is good fresh food.
