Fairly well laid out airport. Upon arrival yesterday from Finland we had a funky exit, some took the rear exit with steps down to a bus, the other passengers exited as normal through the front forward gate only to exit down stairs to waiting buses. I assume this was for border control but it made no sense. Today's access as we stated overnight to catch an AM Flight meant border control for passports once the F gate was announced about 2 hours before departure. In general airport is clean, plenty of restrooms. Very limited on chairs at Checkin which is much diff from larger US airports as well as few seats by the actual gates. There were two very convenient hotels within comfortable walking distance under cover as well as a train station.

Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about Oslo airport. The layout is super simple compared to a lot of other airports, and it's not too big that if you have a short layover you wouldn't make it in time. Prices everywhere are actually a lot cheaper than some airport. Staff were all pretty friendly and the security was a breeze.

One of the best airports in terms of comfort, efficiency, and design (Scandinavian wooden theme throughout). Transferred here from a domestic Norwegian flight to an international flight to Hungary, and really enjoyed our time here. No need for any airline lounge, because the airport itself was so pleasant and not overly crowded. We actually left the secured area of the terminal to go into the arrival lobby in order to enjoy the Wagamama there (see my photos). We had no issue going through security again (very pleasant) to catch our flight. That along speaks highly of an airport. Good luck trying this at LAX. As you can see in my photos, there's this very elegant and welcoming information desk with organ pipes hanging from the ceiling. There are power outlets everywhere (no need to fight). Every seat is a comfortable seat. The public space is surrounded by the warmth of wood. There's a Two Tigers, a place to pick up sushi and noodles. How civilized! Fresh sashimi for the flight. Simply awesome And the Wagamama is topnotch, with Norwegian inflections. They've got plenty of booths. You order at the counter, and they bring the food over. Loved everything. Their Tokyo fries are quite good.

Good vibes all around at Oslo airport. Aside from the exterior of the airport which has trash and cigarettes, the interior is delightful. The airport is laid out nicely: it's quite expansive with high curved ceiling, wooden flooring, glass accents, and an array of shops. Oslo airport is not too large, and there is plenty of space which makes navigation easier. While there isn't a tremendous amount of dining opportunities, what they do have is great. The duty free shop could easily be its own terminal. Highly recommend.

Clean, friendly, easy to navigate- great airport. We got here early, because we had a lounge pass, and our hotel had an early check out. We enjoyed the Starbucks- bought some Oslo souvenir mugs, of course. Prices were reasonable. I also shopped at the duty free for snacks, chocolate and souvenirs for friends. It was easy getting to our gate. Security was tight- there had been an incident in Oslo the morning that we left- so I assume we experienced higher than average security levels at the airport, but it was efficient.
Mind you I had just come from the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The Oslo Airport was just lacking. The first thing I needed to do was get on the WiFi. Unfortunately after spending 20 minutes, and trying every way possible, I was unable to connect to the free WiFi. After leaving customs the exit area is large! Full of restaurants, shops, and a 7-11. The one thing it's missing are places to buy SIM cards. The one place was a stand inside the 7-11. This was a Lycamobile which from my research is the worst option (3g service). At the end of the exit area is the Flytoget airport express train to downtown Oslo. Seriously this couldn't be easier. Everything is automated but they have agents too. This is the best way to get to Oslo! read more
Great airport. Looks crowded but the layout is efficient as well as the pedestrian flow. A lot of glass and steel provide a modern aesthetic, yet with a lot of warmth from an abundance of wood paneling. The WiFi is free only if you have a Norwegian mobile number. Boo!!! This isn't helpful for international travelers at all. From a social media addict, minus 2 points for this one. read more
Pretty, clean airport. Sums it up. Slight issue though...I personally think it limits in food selection, but it IS an airport...so I can't complain too much. The seating areas are almost enough. I wish there were more. But I think everybody wishes there was more!! read more
One of the cleanest airports I've ever been in!!! Food is also super good, especially the food market at the international terminals (before gates 50, etc). They have smoked salmon, salmon burgers, various sandwiches, make your own salad, etc. No hassle getting through the security line and bathrooms are clean! The airport is also connected to the train station. I was able to go to Oslo center when I had a 6 hr layover. read more

Catch the Flytoget Train. It's faster and cost less(much less) than taxi. If your going to stay close to the airport, Do Not Stay At Best Western. Nothing There. No Food; No People; Nothing. Worse place to stay. read more

one of the most beautiful airports in the world. I actually spent the afternoon here and enjoyed a coffee (I was not even flying that day.
This airport is gorgeous well designed filled with amenities and honestly was like walking into an ikea. Connected directly to the high speed train which will take you in 20 minutes into downtown this airport was well designed as a connector as well as in International hub and gateway of the region. There are lockers for personal belongings down the escalator and an easy trip away from the parking structure so while you venture around the city on a daytime layover you can easily put your personal belongings. Staff was very friendly and spoke fluent English at the information centers and the set of restaurants and food options were very good. read more
Points for cleanliness and relatively quick lines every time I've been through. Extra points for the ridiculously simple, right outside baggage claim, airport flybus train (you register your credit card online and just swipe as you go through the turnstile). However trying to navigate the labyrinth-like bathrooms with even a carry-on is nearly impossible. Food prices are insane, even for Norway, but good luck bringing in your own food. They once asked me to squeeze a McDonald's-esque dipping sauce into my quart sized bag and I've seen them confiscate any number of items that were even far less "liquid". One time, they thought a protein bar was "liquid or gel-like". So I agree with the other reviewer re: a conspiracy to get you to spend more inside security. Duty free mark ups are also pretty funny (except aquavit, which isn't so bad) like, a block of genetic Norwegian cheese, 20 nok at a kiwi, is 80, yes EIGHTY KRONER. (Insert maniacal super villain laugh which the cashier is no doubt repressing). At this point you may be asking, three stars? Really?!?! but honestly, if you just need to transfer planes, need a quick security line, don't have a layover, and come prepared, it works well. Oh, and go to town on duty free liquor before you get here. It's a breeze to exit and Norwegian drinks are daaaaaaaamn expensive. read more

This is the nicest and cleanest airport I have ever been to! The design is very modern and well for lack of a better word Scandinavian. All the staff both at customs and security were nice and pleasant. They also spoke very good English which was helpful as mine and my husbands Norwegian is limited to a few basic words to barely get by. You can easily catch the train right from the airport to Oslo City Center or various other locations which was perfect! Just make sure if you are not trying to get to Oslo City Center that you don't hop on the Flytoget Airport express as it makes no other stops than the airport and city center. We made the mistake when trying to go to Lillestrøm and had to sadly watch as we passed by the stop just to buy another ticket once we arrived to city center ooppss. read more

Absolutely terrible. Upon arrival you must go to an automated kiosk. The flight information we received from our travel agent uses different terminology for flight information. Then it would not take my phone number. And offered no options for help. I ended up using the phone number they provided as an example. There was no assistance anywhere to be seen in terms of real people. I had my disabled mother with me and her bag wouldn't check and I had to haul all of our luggage around trying to figure out where there was an actual person that could help. Finally we made it to baggage check area #1 where there were only 2 people helping an overflowing line of people that were having similar problems. At this point in time someone that was very efficient from an Air France counter I believe, helped us quickly and efficiently. Going through security had a nice automatic tray dispenser to get loaded up but was a total shit show on the receiving end with my bag in one spot and wallet 8 feet away and iPad and phone blocked by people try to get their shit on like me. After this I walked my limping mother towards d gate. Which brings us through the duty free section. Which is required to walk through. Nearly late at this point in time despite arriving 2 hours prior, you are forced to walk through a crowd of people window shopping while you sweat and hurry to the gate, making the experience feeling more commercial that anywhere else in Norway. read more

They have numerous live walls here! They are in the middle of doing construction. I was able to go through customs, get my luggage, recheck in and find my way back to my next gate. Easy to find my way around. Bathrooms are okay. 2 hours free wifi. read more
Airport is good design wise but it's a lil' small Compared to other major airports. It's clean but lacking in amenities like shower room, massage spa and much more. There are also not enough gourmet restaurants inside. When we landed here from Frankfurt we got out and stepped out from the tarmac into the bus as suppose to exiting from Jet bridge. Also, I notice there's not a lot of benches in the departure area to relax for layover and I saw a lot of people sleeping in the limited communal benches(pretty disappointing). It also took a while for my baggage to show up in the carousel and there was a very long line for check in. Their security line was ok otherwise, so My advice is to give yourself 1.5 hours in advance so that you won't miss your flight at this airport. read more
Oslo airport, why are you so confusing?? If you have a connection at Oslo, good luck. I was so confused trying to find the C gate for a domestic transfer after arriving from an international flight and we literally went in circles trying to figure out how to find the goddamn terminal. Well, all you need to do is exit where it says transfer and turn around and go up the stairs to Terminal C. I don't even know why they made us go out and go through immigration/security again. They did not even give me a new stamp/ticket or anything because I had a transfer. They also do not have a lounge that accepts Priority Pass cards, which is okay, but the front desk lady at the Oslo lounge did not have to be such a bitch about it. She gave me the rudest curt answers and if that's the kind of customer service you get at that lounge, forget it. I'm done with you, Oslo. read more
We came here as a layover and we had to pick up our baggage and then re check them in so we were able to experience the whole ins and outs of this airport. Maybe it's a country's way but it was a bit too much for an American. When we checked out there was no one to check our passport before we were released. When we got to check in our bags (same airline of Norwegian air) we were asked various security questions. Questions that should be asked by a tsa officer. At first I thought maybe the check in people are this country's tsa but then we went in past security and got to the passport people. When we arrived at our gate we had to go through those same check in people and they asked us AGAIN those questions. My husband got annoyed and literally said "dude you checked us in..." overall strange experience but I mean it's not like I'll come back to this airport unless I come to Northern Europe. read more

This is one of the most beautiful airports I've ever been to! It was extremely clean, modern, and straightforward to navigate. My partner and I weren't able to access our tickets through the kiosk, so we had to go to the service desk for our airline. Luckily, getting boarding passes and going through security took no time at all. Definitely recommend grabbing some delicious pastries from an in-terminal bakery before a flight! read more
A nice clean airport, well marked and easy to move around. The train station to the airport is right close to where you get out when you arrive and it's the easiest way to get into town. You have two choices of train and you can buy tickets at machines next to the station. Baggage arrived fairly quickly and I was quite pleased with the overall experience. read more
I have flown into this airport and also had a connecting flight here. Security has been quick both times. Short lines compare to Orlando! Make sure to take out your iPads and travel liquids, you will get check if not. Bathrooms were small, I did not have a lot of luggage but not sure how someone with a large suitcase would fit in there with it. Remember, you can't leave your belongings by themselves!! Getting to downtown Oslo was simple from this airport. You just have to walk downstairs and the train station is right there, pretty much part of the aiport. You can buy a ticket right there or online at www.nsb.no, you will be leaving from Oslo Lufthavn. I appreciated this since there was no taxi, bus, walking to have to worry about. Free wifi for 2 hrs is available. Norway in general is expensive, things at the airport were as well, not much to choose from either. read more

The part of the airport where we landed is under remodeling. Freezing temperatures and the airport works smoothly. My connection to America was perfect. Passport control very courteous and handling of boarding cards was simple and fast. The airport in general is modern, clean and obviously with a Nordic touch, wood floors, smaller areas, not a cold place in the airport, under freezing temperatures outside. read more

I've visited 80+ airports, OSL is one of the best. Accessible via an express train, flying at 180 kmph, it is a well designed beautiful airport. It has more shopping than you'll have time (I recommend the fresh Salmon choices). Likewise, you won't be hurting for food, from sushi to local reindeer choices. If you have time, walk the local terminal as there are more choices. The international terminal has a choice-filled duty-free shopping area. There is plenty of long spaces to walk around and admire all wood and pretty little architectural touches. Oh, plenty of lounge choices as well. read more
Very efficient and nicely designed airport, true to Scandinavian design style. We arrived here on a saturday (the nation's constitution day) around 12:30 PM on a flight from Ft. Lauderdale , FL. We entered in the line for customs after departing our flight, but the line took a painfully long time and moved slowly. After about 15 minutes we finally made it through. After that, we got to check out the rest of the airports. Many good options for restaurants and duty free shopping, especially considering how high everything is priced here. They directed us to walk straight through the liquor/perfume/cosmetics duty free store and i basically wanted to buy 1 of everything in there. We headed to the ATM after walking through the duty free shop to get some NOK to bring into the city with us. Even with everything being written in Norwegian, it was still much easier for us to understand everything and navigate it much easier than it was in our airport back home in Florida. Go figure. Finally, we had to figure out our next step for transportation to get in to the city center. Based on online research, I knew i wanted to take the flytoget train or the NSB train, which both depart from the tracks downstairs at the airport. The flytoget is only a few minutes faster to city center, but costs much more. Based on recommendations of the nice lady at the info desk, we were reassured to stick with the more economical NSB option. We were glad to arrive at senstralstasjon (Oslo S) in only about 15 minutes! Overall, this airport seems to exemplify the smart and simple design of Northern Europe and also offered friendly staff, clearly marked paths and signs toward each destination and an efficient manner to get from the airport to the city center. I was pleased with the experience here and would definitely fly here again soon. read more

Oslo Airport is Norway's main airport, easy to access from Oslo just use the airport train express only 20 minutes. The airport covers an area of 13 square kilometers' and is based on the Atlanta-model, with two parallel runways and a single terminal with two piers on a single line. They are currently expanding the terminal. Oslo Airport (OSL) has some shops and food severing places, is expensive place to be so take care of your money. A good idea is to download the app (http://www.osl.no/osl/omoss/X_OSLapp?utm_source=banner_app&utm_medium=forsiden&utm_campaign=OSLapp) for OSL, you can check the queue by the in check and so on. read more

Excellent airport! Super modern and clean! My second favourite after Amsterdam airport. Bathrooms: super clean wifi: your only supposed to have 2 hours free, but after 2 hours.. I was still connected. Electric: you'll be hard up to find plugs! But I give 5 stars for wifi. A must so when I have 8 hour layovers, I can still get some work done. read more

Nice smaller airport, not hard to find your way and most people speak great English if you have a language barrier. You can get lox on bread and all sorts of healthy bites to eat. Doesn't have an extremely long security or passport station. read more
My travels have taken me to airports small and large and Oslo is a pretty average European airport. I found it easy to navigate and for an airport in a country's largest city it's small by comparison. The line at security move quickly and once through the screening there were two options: take a left for inter Norwegian flights or a right for international flights. The airport was clean and conveniently laid out with miscellaneous snacking and duty free shipping options. The airport's small size was felt during a recent transatlantic flight where the gate could not accommodate the number the passengers waiting for the flight. The snug situation was further compounded when they had to clear the gate for a random security sweep. Don't get me wrong, I dig the extra security but unfortunately there was even less room for the travelers outside the gate as there was within in. I'm a young guy so standing doesn't bother me in the least but I felt for my fellow passengers. Many were older or with small children and they were left with a choice to stand or sit on the floor. If traveling to Oslo S I recommend taking the standard NSB train rather than Flytoget. For 90kr you can purchase a ticket on NSB: there are ticket machines just inside the airport by the train stops doors or you can use the convenient smart phone app. The ticket is also good for about 2hrs for Oslo's transit system so you can catch a bus, tram or T Bane (underground train/subway) to your final destination. The Flytoget will run you around 180kr and only saves you 3-5 minutes time at best. If you do chose Flytoget be sure to use the self service machine otherwise a 20kr service fee is added for purchases at the desk. read more
Really fantastic and modern airport! I had 3 hours to kill before my flight and they had plenty of shops and restaurants here to keep me occupied! I can't comment on the prices as I only know USD haha. So praying I didn't charge anything that was too outrageous. I wish they had some American outlets so I could charge my phone but I digress. Great airport not too big but plenty of things to do! read more

A great spot to have a layover at since Norway is outside the European Union which gives you Tax-free opportunities. So if you want to go on a shopping spree on your way home from ex. US, this is the perfect spot to pass through. Shopping area is newly renovated and gives a fresh touch to the whole experience. The weather can be an issue during winter time, but most of the time they can handle it, and wont cause delays. Overall this is a great place, but not a cheap place (as always at airports), even though the norwegian crown makes it even steeper. But hey, you are hopefully on vacation, so you should spend it somehow anyway! read more

Considering that Oslo Airport is a small airport, I feel like they have managed to at least have a selection of places to eat, to get a bottle of water or soda, and a small selection of shop. Most importantly they have a book store, a purse store, sunglass place, gadgets store, and of corse duty free. On a regular basis the airport lines are not to bad, you might spend 10 minutes through security, unless you fly on a day there is a strike or during primetime summer, fall, christmas or easter vacation. Most the people at the check lines are fairly plight, but it is always that one cranky security guy that have had a bad morning, day or even week. You can normally spot them from afar so just stay clare. Bathrooms are fairly nice, there is 2 hour free wireless internet. Everything else is of course oversized, but only what is expected at the airport. I always bring an empty bottle and fill it with water before boarding just so I don't have to spend close to 40NOK for a bottle of water. Overall, easy to get around, pretty hard to get lost so no worries. Just relax, drink some expensive wine and enjoy your vacation! read more

OSL is like CPH, just in smaller version. In a way it's nicer because it's easier to navigate than the vast CPH but this review is obviously made before the opening of T2 in 2017. I like OSL with their fast and efficient security check, so no worries about long lines here, although it's definitely nicer if you get to use the fast track lane. They are however, very strict with liquids though. I once had small cup of yoghurt (not the drinking kind) in my bag and passed CPH security just fine but not here, but they're still nicer than rude security officers at Schiphol. The restaurant selection is just average, like any airports in northern Europe. There's Pizza Hut, Seafood bar, Upper Crust, the new Foodmarket, yo-sushi and I usually ate my dinner on the later. read more

Our next destination after Berlin was Oslo. This was the airport we spent the least amount of time in and only went to once, as we were flying into Oslo from Berlin, but taking the train to Sweden from Oslo. My sister and I were disappointed that we were only in OSL so briefly and were not going to have a chance to return, as it looked like a nice airport, and from what we could see, as we walked through the airport, there seemed to be a decent selection of dining options and stores. read more

This is an extremely well organized airport with convenient transportation options into the city of Oslo. I flew Norwegian Air from London to Oslo, using the airport just once during my visit to Norway (we flew out of Bergen, which I also reviewed). The airport terminal and concourses use a ton of glass in conjunction with other natural materials. There was ample of use of stone, wood, and metal. It was a wonderful representation of Scandinavian architecture, sleek and modern with warm accents coming from the natural materials liberally used throughout the terminal. While we did not spend much time in the airport itself, there were plenty of dining options if you had a layover or needed to kill some time. I have no comments on the baggage claim process, as I did carry-on luggage. Passport control was quick and seamless. We used the airport express train (Flytoget) to get into the center of Oslo. While it was more expensive than some other transit options, we were all willing to pay the extra amount as we were anxious to get out and about in Oslo on a perfectly sunny and warm day. The train tickets are sold at a kiosk right near the entrance to the train, all of which is located inside the main terminal building. It was extremely convenient. read more

Pretty sweet looking airport with good design and a nice variety of different shops and stores to keep you occupied. Design of the place in terms of aesthetics is fantastic, layout is eh. I had to make a huge loop when I was getting off of my plane to get out to the arrivals section which was a huge hassle and very unnecessary. But landing and getting the gate opened and prepared was really efficient which is something I appreciate. I'm a huge fan of their sleek wooden design. It's connected with the Flytoget which makes traveling extremely efficient and getting into the city center super easy. Navigating the ticket machines is also a breeze. tldr; great airport, very easy to learn to navigate though a little more walking than necessary read more

Support Qyper statements from before nice architecture. Connectivity to Oslo central station by Express train about 15min for about 170Kronen. Fast and sufficient security checks, friendly and supportive personnel. Hughest Duty Free shops with liquor I have seen so far. A quality airport and nice welcome to Norway. The architecture of everything to it from seats in the departure area to the look from the outside of the new terminal building currently under construction is simply lovely. The walk from the gate to the customs is quite long but with every opportunity given to look thru Windows into the world of departures it does pass the time. Some of the friendliest customs officers I have ever met too. There plenty of space at the baggage carousels for the whole plane to spread out and signs all over the place making getting lost a challenge The airport can be accessed by bus or train and tickets can be easily purchased Lovely airport read more
Lots of improvements needed here. To start, upon landing there was a shortage of immigration police, meaning a solid 1 hour and 5 minute chaotic line to get stamped into the country. Luckily my flight was only 3 hours but I pitied the long haul folks. Once through, bags were waiting and it was an easy walk to the Flytoget train into town. On leaving, security was quick, especially if you have fast track access. Duty free was massive, but all the lounges were before passport control, and considering it was a solid hour into the country, you'll have to time leaving the lounge very conservatively to ensure not missing your flight. To compound, the folks in the lounge gave no details about departures and were mostly clueless except to point out a TV screen showing a CCTV camera feed of the passport control line. I know, I know, first world problems but come on, for a country that values design, this sucks. Speaking of design, the interior in places was quite handsome, with classic modern Scandinavian mixture of metal, glass, wood and lines. The airport is undergoing a major upgrade, so hopefully they will sort out the problems. read more
The good things about Gardermoen, Norways biggest airport, is that it is easily accessible from central Easter Norway, with trains, busses and by car. The layout of the airport is also quite easy to get a grasp on, the queue is rarly to bad by the safety control, and it got a few nice international destinations. Also, they have i ok variety of food. The not so good is the extremely high prices, even for Norway, and the large tax-free your almost forced through both when departuring, and on arrivals. Still Norways best airport IMHO! read more

It's a very nice airport. I had an 8-hour layover from Oslo to Prague. I was coming from JFK. I have never been to Norway so-- I decided to keep it chill and stay in the airport for those 8 hours. Looking back on it, I should have gone out to town. But the truth was, I was so tired. The Oslo airport has nice accommodations and food. The O'Riley's restaurant was HORRIBLE. But oh well. I was more or less fighting the entire time against fatigue-- so maybe I don't have a great gauge. In any case, wish there were some BEDS there :-p Nah-- it's a fine airport :) read more

The main International Airport serving Oslo )) , the capital of and most populous city in Norway! And home to one of the the most innovative airlines in the industry Norwegian ASA, all brand new B787 Dreamliner fleet, high fuel saving economy with excellent Scandinavian service and international crew. Oslo Airport is the main domestic hub and international airport in Norway, and is the second-busiest airport in the Nordic countries. The lay out is beautiful, as it is very chic with wooden accents all through out the terminals. Almost 26 million passengers traveled through the airport in 2017, making it the nineteenth-busiest airport in Europe. A hub for Scandinavian Airlines, an operating base for Norwegian Air Shuttle, it connects to 31 domestic and about 128 international destinations. Go to Norway with Norwegian you will love it! read more
